Actually think the loss of Finnegan is worse than Albert, if it's for an extended period of time.

Seems like losing Finnegan might be worse than Albert.

It really just feels like this coaching staff panics and sh*ts the bed in the last two minutes of a game. The timeouts are bad and even the players are puzzled by them, but it also just seems like we go in a shell and hope we win. I'd rather go down sending some extra pressure.

Philbin can't manage at the end.

These close losses are killer. Need to have better gameplan against the Bills, another fierce defensive front coming to town. And though Orton isn't great, he is better than the last two Bills QB who beat Miami.

Didn't expect them to win today, but they had it in their grasp and that is what sucks. Goal line and they settle for a FG, after an open drop that would've been a TD. Then they can only get 20 seconds off the clock before kicking it back to DET. After the FG, just like in the Packers game, my optimism sunk down into expecting them to blow it.

I hope they can go on another streak.

Yeah, the Bills game is even bigger now. A win at home on Thursday and the season is looking really good again.

I felt at the beginning that the game would be close and if it came to the final minutes we would be at a disadvantage .That why I did not pick a team in the OP .Unfortunately it turned out the way I expected .

Having said that I think there are certain plays that are commendable which must be recognized .Tanny chasing the guy who intercepted his pass was notable. He showed his athletecism in spades there.

The Grimes interception should make the all time Dolphin highlight reels .Just magnificent .Jenkins was justifying his case for all pro consideration.

This is a team on the cusp of greatness.Need a couple of more pieces and some better head coaching IMO..That was two games we lost because the HC looked confused and lost at critical times.:pity:

Deja vu all over again. Offense can't run clock, defense folds on last drive.

And we call timeouts for them once again.:tantrum:

But you also can't win against on road against good teams when you miss on open 50 yard bombs and drop the winning TD.

Says the guy who fumbled a punt return which led to KC taking the lead.

I hate them more than the Jets now. Well, for this season anyway.

The head coach always is the one fired when the team fails to have a winning season. That doesn't mean that it isn't the players fault for not making plays when the game is on the line.

Personally I don't think Caldwell is is a better HC than Philbin. He just happens to have a better QB and , and WR's, and offensive line than the Dolphins have at this time.

The Lions defense is also better than the Dolphins defense at this time. They aren't rank #1 in defense for nothing.

Put Philbin as the Lions HC and Caldwell as the Dolphins HC and the Lions would have still won today.

I'm not a big Philbin fan and I would love to see Harbaugh with the Dolphins next year, but it certainly wasn't Philbin's fault the offense and defense couldn't get the job done with less than 4 minutes to play today.
That was entirely on the players on the field and no one else.

man this one just stings, im proud of the team for fighting the whole way and for standing toe to toe with a damn good team in detroit on the road, the team is getting better and better but this game and the green bay games are ones this team needs to learn to win in order to take the next step. have to take of business with the bills at home, and finish the season strong.

We'll we can overcome it, or be the same Dolphins team, playoff contention to out of the hunt,
What are the chances if we lose to the Bills and still make the playoffs

We beat the Bills, sweep the Pats and JEST and split with Denver and Baltimore and we're in. The first step is to beat the Bills.

This is not the same team that lost to the Bills.

Yeah, we don't have Brandon Albert anymore. Detroit beat Tannehill's *** into the ground today. Buffalo will probably do the same.

Philbin was not being stupid. He was trying to preserve clock so they could go for a game winning field goal. He was betting the defense would hold the lions to 3 points. The defense folded. He bet wrong. It still wasn't stupid.

James is a left tackle. He was moved to right tackle. The o-line will not be worse for the rest of the year than it was right after Albert went down. Not every defensive line is like the Lions'. The Bills' is good. This game on Thursday will define quite a bit.

When was James a Left Tackle? High school?

Not to mention James may be ok at LT, but he isn't as good as Albert there, not is Thomas as good at RT as James is.

You're right. I thought he had played left tackle at Tennessee. He did not. He played right tackle.

I guess we wait for the MRI.

The Bills are 2nd in the league in sacks... They're better than the lions.

Hail Mary to much to ask, or Miami always does the hot potato game.
