LOL. I think we are the same old Dolphins we've been since Dan Marino retired. Not really GREAT at any facet of the game.

Ok. But we are what our record says we are. And that is barely over .500.[/QUOTE]

We are actually .555 with a bar over it. A pessimist would say we are barely over .500. An optimist would say we are barely under .666 and a realist would say we are .555. We are not out of the playoff race until we are out of the playoff race. We can finish the season anywhere from 12-4 (.75) to 5-11 (.3125). Correct me if I am wrong, but we don't have any more dominant defenses to worry about in our schedule besides Buffalo's pass rush. We just don't match up well against teams with a great pass rush. It's why we lost to the Chiefs and the Bills. The Green Bay game bothered me but this loss didn't bother me because I knew it would be tough and we kept the game close and had a chance to win against the #1 defense in the league. I am worried about 2 more games, Buffalo and Denver. Denver not only has a high powered offense but they are currently ranked as a top 5 total defense. It's not their offense I am worried about because they will also see what it's like to play a top 5 defense when they play us, it's our offense I am worried about against top 5 defenses, specially if they have a good pass rush.

Ya it's painful, but RT is improving under duress...pressured on 40% of his drop backs and completed 71% of his throws (and hit Clay with a catchable ball in the end zone). He's growing, just not a finished product yet.

Could not have said it better myself. That was a heavyweight fight. It hurt at the end there, but our team showed alot of toughness in this game.

I think the loss of Albert for the remainder of the season was the biggest loss in this game. I thought going into the game that the Dolphins would probably lose in a close game.

Unfortunately the loss of the best offensive lineman on the team is something which is going to extremely hard for this team to overcome over the next seven weeks.

We played well enough to win, but it didn't happen. I knew going into the last drive we needed a TD not a FG. We just didn't get it done.

The loss of Albert could be a killer. He has been the key to the OL this year but this will be the true test of the new OL coach and Lazor's ability to keep the D on its heals. If RT is protected - that will be huge.

This game is big. It will be tough coming off a loss like that to play on Thursday night. There is no room for more than an hour of enduring the pain. This team has to have an incredibly short memory and Philbin will have to be a great psychologist to put this behind them. Going to be tough.

A loss this week and they are out of it, imo.

The players' attitude after the game in post game interviews helps my outlook for Buffalo. I especially thought Wallace had the right attitude. You could tell Grimes laid it all out on the field based on his demeanor. They were upset about the loss, but not defeated, and they shouldn't be after this. I'd like to hear what Jones had to say actually.
