The one problem with living in Maui is that the games on 1:00PM games come on here at 8:00am, now that daylight saving time has ended. I'm used to those early games now, but this will be the first night game the Dolphins will play since we moved to Hawaii last January.

The game comes on here today at 3:25 pm. I always loved the home night games when I was in the stadium, but it is going to be strange watching the game on Thursday afternoon here in Maui. As long as the Dolphins come out with a victory, I guess it really doesn't matter what time the game is on here.

heres another problem with maui, they don't have a real good lil fish shoppe that serves up fresh fish sandwiches and other fresh fish dishes, they have lil stands in some areas but noone is taking advantage of the culture.

I'm excited but also scared. Hate to admit, but I guess that's the first step.

Hope we can get some running game going and if Miller is tender give it to Williams. Hoping James is ready to step up and the rest of the O line as well.

I prefer playing golf to fishing, but I have several golfing buddies here who love to fish. They usually catch more than they can keep and therefore they quite often will bring in the extra fish for those of us at the club who don't like fishing, but love to eat fish.

As far as places you can get top rate fresh fish sandwiches the next time you are in Maui. We live a few miles north of Lahaina and we frequently go the , "The Fish Market", or Okazuya Deli, which are in the same little shopping center about 4 miles north of downtown Lahaina.

Both these places serve fresh fish sandwiches which taste great. In fact we went to the, Fish Market this past weekend and they were just taking in some fresh caught Marlin. My wife and I decided to order two Marlin sandwiches and we watched as they cut up the Marlin and took the meat to the back to grill it. It tasted great and there aren't a lot of places you can go and get a fresher fish sandwich than that.

Another place you can try the next time you are in Maui is, Mama's Fish House. It is on the North Shore of Maui and they have a different menu made up every night and they serve only the fish which was caught that day. On the menu, the name of each captain who caught the fish is listed.

It is probably one of the most expensive places to eat in Maui, but it is well worth the price when you are on vacation and want a great meal. It is also right on the water and going to dinner during the time the sun sets makes the meal that much more enjoyable.

Unfortunately all I have are T-Shirts and Pennington in Aqua. Almost all my jersey's are white cause the team is always wearing their whites. Lol. Really wanted to support Tanne tonight but I'll switch to an aqua Dolphins Tee.

It is between 70-85 degrees almost everyday of the year. Where I live on Maui, we don't get much rain, but on the other side of the Island, there are areas which get several hundred inches of rain a year. On the few days when it gets too hot and humid, with isn't often because of the trade winds, you can always take a ride up to the Mountains, where the temperature can be as much as 20 degrees cooler than it is down by the ocean.

Some people don't like living in Hawaii because they feel it is too confining. All the Islands except for the ,Big Island are relatively small and you can drive completely around them in a day or less. It is rather expensive to live here because just about everything has to be shipped in across the ocean or by air. Gasoline prices usually run about a dollar per gallon higher here than they do on the mainland.

I love to play golf and go hiking in the mountains. So this is a great place for me to live. My wife always loved the plants and the weather in South Florida. Hawaii has many of the same plants and the weather is even better because it is not nearly as humid in Hawaii as it is in South Florida.

If my son-in-law had not been transferred to Seattle, we would still probably be in South Florida because of our grandsons, but my wife really didn't want to move to Seattle because of the rain and cooler weather. So since we had visited Hawaii numerous times over the previous twenty years, we decided to relocate to Hawaii and our grandsons were able to spend 8 weeks with us this past summer. They loved it so much that when their mom and dad flew to Hawaii to visit and to take them back, they wanted to know if they could just stay and live with us in Hawaii.

Hawaii with the hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, and possibility of tidal waves isn't for everyone. But we love it and I don't ever see us wanting to leave here and move somewhere else.
