Sure it was Mario Williams and his red contacts. But 3.5 sacks?

Anyone see the quotes from RT saying many of those sacks were on his receivers. But how about that Play Action where as soon at RT faked the handoff he looked up and Mario Williams was in his grill?

Nate Garner has to be better than Dallas Thomas at this point no?

The play action was purely on dion sims. He didnt play well last not but what do you expext from a guy that doesnt have a set position moving from guard to tackle constantly, sat te bench for 10 weeks then has to play against an elite pass rusher?

I'm sorry... but when you design a play to block Mario Williams with a guy that's lined up on the opposite side of the field... that's bad play design.

Lazors playcallin kills me sometimes. Hes a great coordinator overall but some of his plays bother the crap out of me. Tries to get way too cute.

The playcalling on that first TD with the Gibson was brilliant. But passing when they were trying to kill the clock with 3 minutes left was a DaFuq! moment. It was almost picked off.

These things are normally decided in practice, I'm guessing Thomas has looked better.

Disagree. Should've been a TD. RT missed the throw, again.

The better option will be the one produced by Hickey for next season.

Man, if they can keep it together and further strengthen the OL, LB, TE and secondary.....look out!

Should have been, Tannehill was PISSED! even though they were about to win the game. It was un-needed though. 2 score lead, kill the clock.

He was pissed at himself. He said himself after the game that his throw was horrible.

Probably so, but I can't be mad at them for going for the kill shot. I think we were up 10 at that point, which isn't insurmountable and Buff had a TO left to stop the clock if we'd run it.

I was surprised they didn't use Nate Garner as a tackle-eligible blocker last night like they did against Detroit. That was a little baffling to me. They started using both Clay and Sims on the field at the same time, and Clay stayed in to block quite a bit which helped in some instances.

I'm hoping the "mini-bye" will allow Miami to figure out how they can help Dallas Thomas more. Tannehill also had a bum ankle last night as well, so hopefully he'll be even more mobile with some additional time off.

They run the ball there Buffalo needs to use their last TO. 3 minutes with no timeouts is harder than 3 minutes with one. They got the FG regardless so and the defence closed it out.

But strategically it was the wrong move.

It was sort of like that INT RT threw against the Jags, it was like the Coaching staff knew the game was won so they started opening the playbook to try stuff they wouldn't normally do.

Yeah the Jax INT was brutal. I blame McKelvin for the pass call lol, dude was running his mouth so Philbin wanted to run it up on the their ***, point blank, period.

The better option is already on the team, unfortunately with Albert's injury he had to move to the left.

Ooh, fair enough, although if we look at Thomas as a backup, then we could use some more depth.

Thomas is not a starting caliber tackle IMO but if you told me before the game that he'd give up some sacks but Tannehill's career wasn't ruined I'd take it. Guess I don't expect much from him. Some times you have to admit a guy was a bad draft choice and just move on.

The Bills front 4 is nasty. I'm not sure this is the proper way to evaluate Dallas Thomas.

I thought Thomas did a fine job, per pff he gave up 2 sacks BUT..they were not instant pressure sacks, he was not pawing at the air as Williams blew by him.

Give him a couple of starts at TACKLE to see what he has, to me he just is not a guard, he plays a bit to soft and upright to be a guard, as a dancing bear he will grow into the role.

I think the Dallas Thomas as a guard experiment is done. The interior played much better with Smith, Satele, and Pouncey.

I'm glad they went for the TD instead of running...killer mentality against the nemesis. Love it. Trust your defense and go for it.

Thomas sucks, play Turner at tackle, he can't be any worse.

I wasn't upset at him... but then again, my expectations towards his play was extremely low.

This is his first year as a NFL OC. Last year he was a QB coach. He has exceeded my expectations by 40k miles. I think the problem is all of you have unrealistic expectations. I am very, very, very happy with our progress.

Given the circumstances; short week, against one of the d-lines in the league, I thought Thomas did OK.

Actually one of the sacks was exactly like that. He almost didn't make contact with Williams.

There was one sack like that. Thomas didn't lay a hand on Williams as he blew past him.

There was that one and the one where Mario Williams basically fork-lifted him, set him down, and then thumped Tannehill.

    Dallas Thomas was NOT good.

I think during this extra time that we have to prepare if Billy Turner is Healthy we put him at his natural position LT and Juwan James at RT with Smith, Satele, and Pouncy and see how they do..they can also swap tackle spots some too but I am a strong proponent for playing guys in their natural position and I believe that Benton would have this revised line up jelling.

I agree, I think the offense is much, much better than last year. We are making adjustments at half time that are among the best in the league which is a huge turnaround from last years "hey let just keep running the same stuff and see if they can still stop it" offense from Sherman. I like what Lazor is doing here.

Jawuan gave up just as much push on that one. Tannehill tried to sneak up between both but williams got his arm out. That one, imo, was on thill. If the tackles give you a pocket, you gotta step into it.
