Fixed the link. The numbers surprised me too, thus I felt compelled to share. I'm guessing that's the cumulative grades of all the individual PFF performances?
Whenever the mainstream media mentions that a team has offensive line troubles and that Miami's pass rush should sack the hell out of them, Cameron Wake pulls one of his now famous disappearing acts. Never fails.
well you know, pressures and hits count too....i doubt we will get to that sucker often this sunday, but we need to hit him and pressure him
If they do, then hopefully other guys will be wreaking havoc back there or they are not as good as I'd hoped.
Wake gets held pretty much every time he rushes. He just doesn't throw his hands up to try and get the gimme call he keeps fighting trying to get to the QB. They will absolutely double team him this weekend. Olivier should have a big game.
This team is getting respect. I'm more confident in this team right now than I have been since #13 retired. Fins. Up.
I just take things as they come. Try not to get too high or too low. Until we see a playoff win by our beloved team, I cannot force myself to have any confidence. Right now we are still hoping to just make the playoffs, let alone win. What the media says about the Dolphins, good or bad, means as much as a popcorn fart to me.
I thought last game was huge. This game with their lose, puts us in a great position with a win to have the tie breaker. It would almost assure that KC gets the division and that's the only tie breaker that looks to be in play right now.
Like the best coach in football said, we havent accomplished sh## yet..his team is 9 and 1, 3 game lead in their division and he's not letting his team breathe an inch.. I love our team but I'm not gonna praise the sh' out of them for being 6 and 4, you want praise, then take the Broncos to the wire, beat the jets twice, Ravens, then Vikings and I'll sing some praise.
Sometimes I think Wakes biggest weakness in his game is that never die never give up attitude and quiet focused demeanor. Maybe if he flopped on the ground once in a while and threw his hands around like a ***** he'd get some more holding calls and less calls. Or maybe thats the homer in me coming out haha.
THIS!!!! I like Peyton Manning and have watched him over his career. I think he's one of the all time greats, but one thing about Manning, if you get pressure on him consistently and take him out of his rhythm, he gets easily frustrated and with that frustration comes mistakes and turnovers. We don't need to sack him 5-6 times this game (although that would be great) but if every time he drops back to pass, he's knocked down, it's going to frustrate him, take him out of his rhythm and going to give us a great opportunity to win this game
interesting that manning in 13 career games has only 2 300 yard games against us, his first ever game and the last game he had 300+ 5-8 lifetime, but has won the last three...just like buffalo last week...
That's pretty much true of every QB ever. Manning's lack of mobility and relatively weak arm makes him need to release the ball sooner than most and anticipate where his WR will be when the ball gets there (slowly). That enables him to avoid sacks and pressure. IMO the key is to disrupt the routes of the receivers and make it harder to anticipate where they'll be and when and/or jump those routes. But laying back and jumping the routes has never been especially successful against Manning. Disrupting the routes is. Look at the teams that have had success against him this year: Seattle, NE, and STL. All have physical corners who can play bump and run and disrupt the routes. Combine that with some pass rush pressure and you start to see good results against Manning. Grimes can be physical and play bump and run, but that's not really his forte. It's something Taylor can do. I think there are things we can do with Dion Jordan to help disrupt the timing of the Broncos' passing game. Unfortunately, I'm not confident that we'll do all those things.
Some of them are him just getting held, but when he's doing his thing and the tackles arm is across Wake's throat I get a little miffed.
Thats the key to the whole game on D. Force him to hold the ball and make tough throws down the field, dude cannot do it.
I do not eat any popcorn anymore. 95% of it is made from GMO corn. No thanks. Wouldn't surprise me though if you think Monsanto and their GMO corn are really neat and cool.
Win or lose I'm looking forward to just enjoying this game. If nothing else, the Dolphins have been fighting this season and that's maybe the best anyone can ask for, nothing else can be guaranteed. Over these next games I'm also going to be watching more and more to see what happens with Dion Jordan. It's not been a lot but he's been starting to show up here and there. I'm really hoping he starts to become a major force - wherever he's used.
