Most comfortable I have ever been after a loss...

I am at ease after tonight's loss. Not just because we faced the best QB in the history of the NFL, on the road, after he suffered a loss(nearly unbeatable). But because this is the first time, since 2002(Rickys first year with the team), that I am actually excited about this teams future.

If there was any doubt what so ever in peoples minds about our QB situation, there shouldn't be anymore. Tannehill is just a flat out stud. There is no if, ands or buts about it anymore. The announcers were talking about how well the offensive line did tonight, but in reality Ryan literally moved in the pocket and prevented sacks on him. Can you believe it? The guy that stood in the pocket like a statue and took sack after sack is actually moving in the pocket with great footwork.

Jamar Taylor. Kid is flat out physical. He played well against a top 5 WR in the NFL.

Jarvis Landry is a man. Love how physical he is for his stature. Lamar Miller fits this scheme so well. He puts his foot in the ground and gets up field so quickly. He even made a CATCH tonight, stop the presses!

    I <3 Bill Lazor.

At the end of the day, I truly believe, if both teams were 100% healthy, we beat the Broncos in Denver, coming off a loss. Which is extremely tough. Hell, forget the offensive side of the ball, if we had Finnegan and Taylor for the entire game I think we beat them tonight.

    Tannehill
    Miller
    Landry
    Wallace
    Clay(Hopefully)
    Sims
    Albert
    James
    Pouncey
    Dallas Thomas

    Vernon
    Wake
    Jordan
    Starks
    Mitchell
    McCain
    Misi
    Jenkins
    Grimes
    Taylor
    Davis
    Jones

We have an extremely talented and young team returning next year. I am so excited for our future with Tannehill at the helm and the company around him.

    Go Phins!!!

I am too. I am very excited about the team and the future. But this D is good for nothing. It needs complete overhaul. It's regressing. Philbin is building a dominant team and the D is falling behind, there is nothing to be excited about on D, they are uncompetitive and cannot win games, and are regressing, moving in the wrong direction. There are simply too many losers on defense to keep any of them on the team--they will affect new guys we bring in with their losing mentality and effort.

I certainly don't agree with an overhaul. If we were healthy on defense today would of been a different story. However there are obvious holes that do need to be upgraded on defense. No doubt there was no fire out there today, Finnegan usually brings a lot of that. Would of liked to see McCain more tonight, anyone know how many snaps he had on defense?

The defense was not disciplined, did not tackle well. They need to do better, but I truly believe this one is on Coyle. This is the first time this year where I believe that is a true statement. We needed to go to a 52 in the first half and early in the second. Allowing them to grind down the defensive line with Physical runs was bad strategy. I did not think the 43 had a chance versus double tight end.

Good way to put it...I was disappointed but certainly not angry. Two teams went to war today and a tipped ball tilted it just far enough into Denver's favor to get the W. If we would have recovered that onside kick though, I am very confident that we would have won it. Great game!

I agree, Nappy! And as we continue to turn the roster over we will not have Jimmy Wilson anymore! That's a 10 point swing right there! lol.

I agree but the only one of the coaches I like still is Lazor. I think coaching has literally cost us 3 (GB, Detroit, Today) games this year. Philbin does nothing to inspire confidence and Coyle simply plays to lose. No real way to sugarcoact it.

I dont have a problem with most of the players. We have a few holes but thats not rocket science. We have an offseason thats going to either spring us forward or set us back. Odrick, Delmas, Starks, Moreno etc need to have decisions made on them as to weather to keep or let walk, particularly Odrick. Contract wise Hartline, Finnegan, Ellerbe, Gibson etc need decisions made on them. I have more faith in Hickey then the staff though....

I think we have some reasons to be optimistic but I'd don't think we beat them. Their 3rd and 4th string rbs ran all over our defense. Our DL was non-existent.

The big positive is tannehill showed us he is a gamer. Even with our ol sucking, he made plays. He is having one of the best seasons a qb has had in a long time.

I've seen losses like this before. I'm past being optimistic about them.

A 3 point loss at Denver is nothing to be mad about regardless of the circumstances. We were playing with house money the whole game, if we handle our biz vs the lesser teams we'll be 10-6, perhaps earning a rematch with Denver later on.

i'm fine with the effort, a little bit disappointed in the defensive playcalling but overall confident going into the last quarter of the season. this year is the first in a long while that i can see the arrow pointing up and i know the next few years will be a great time to be a dolphins fan

Always surprised me the Stat Monkey's undervalue tackling.

Now we find out what the 2014 Dolphins roster is made of, meaning, this was easy to see coming.

    What next.

Im just happy we found a franchise QB. Tannehill has really grown up this year and is turning out to be a pretty good young QB. If Ravens can win a super bowl with Joe Flacco, I dont see why we cant win with Tannehill. 4 total tds today, 3 throwing and 1 rushing, 72% completion and a interception that should have been a pass interference, against last year AFC Champs. I do think we can rebound next week and beat the jets to be 7-5 but man with the AFC being this crowed, very little room for error

All the teams we're behind play each other the mnext five weeks. They will knock each other off. We're in really good position to grab a wild card

The afc north all play each other essentially. The browns, ravens, and steelers are all fighting for the same thing. None of them is much better than the other, and we still play the ravens. We beat sd, and our afc record, 5-3, is good. We are in an advantageous situation, yes.

All that goes up in smoke with a loss to anyone other than the patriots IMO.

I do too, and when was the last time we could say that ? I can't imagine what this team would look like if someone else was still in charge.

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm not sure if we make the playoffs this season just because the AFC is so stacked, but, we have a shot and that's a good thing.

Either way, our future is really bright. This team is filled with young talent and we can compete with the very best. The fact that we've been flat out destroying other teams just proves we're getting there.

    Just keep moving forward.

I like the way things are shaping up for the future. Unlike many here it seems I like the coaching staff at this point. I think Philbin is getting better, really like Coyle and Lazor. Hickey came on and did a great job massaging the roster. Lots of young talent on the team and a couple more draft gems next year and things will really be looking up.
