This could be a positive going into the game.

That would be huge. He's a dominant player.

Miami catching a lot of breaks, IMO...benching Vick in favor of Geno, now Mo Wilkerson being out?

    They should steamroll the Jets.

I still maintain.. I dont care who suits up for the Jets. Cant let them hang around. We have to go for kill and bury them fast and not let off.

Well there's something that always makes me nervous about a heavy home underdog. And that's what the Jets are, 7 point underdogs at home.

But the fact of the matter is everything is breaking Miami's way here.

Pittsburgh walked into the New Meadowlands as 4.5 point favorites, which believe it or not isn't all that different from a 7 point favorite. The Jets won the game 20-13. So this is still a prideful team that can deliver strange results.

Even so...this should be a good solid win for Miami. And in front of a national audience, too.

They were also 9 point underdogs at home against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos won that game 31-17. But the game was a bit closer than you'd think. The Jets came back in the second half to pull to within a touchdown at 24-17. Geno Smith tried a comeback drive at 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter but went three-and-out. The defense got them back the ball with 1 minute remaining and Geno Smith threw a pick to Aqib Talib who returned it for a touchdown.

The other three home games they lost (Bills, Lions and Bears) the Jets were actually favorites in all of them. It's interesting.

Its going to be a showcase game .If they dont beat the Jets handily there will be a collective clamor that this team doesnt belong in the playoff talk and the drumbeats for Philbins departure will grow louder.

Its a must win game .Not technically but certainly emotionally.

There's certainly no way the Fins get in with fewer than 10 wins. If things break wrong, 11 may be necessary.

I think the Dolphins should win this game by double digits. They have superior talent and the Jets appear to be ready to get the season over and find out who their head coach will be next season.

Of course I also felt this same way last year when the Jets came down to Miami in the final game of the season and we all know how that game turned out.

This year though, the Dolphins have shown the ability to beat the teams they are expected to beat. They are expected to beat the Jets this week and I believe they will.

My prediction Dolphins 27- Jets 13.

The Steelers should have steamrolled the Jets, Patriots too. We're not good enough to go on the road expecting to steamroll anyone, especially a division opponent, on Monday night, with nothing to lose.

That would be nice. I hate playing teams who were embarrassed the week before, they usually come out swinging in the next game.

True. Not sure it compares to what just happened to the Jets though.
