I think the Pats are 21st in Red Zone defense TD%, at least coming in to today. The problem is that Green Bay hasn't gotten much out of the running game at this point. Tough to be one dimensional in tight space against corners of that quality. I think the Packers are going to be fine today. Quit worrying and enjoy the game!
Gronkowski is sick, dude going to have 1,000 yards or more receiving , Miami needs a weapon like him.hopefully we get it right eventually.
What positions do you guys think Dolphins need to go for? I think MLB and TE. I'm liking the development of Tannehill, Landry, and Miller. Also like what Wallace brings. I wish they could have an athletic type TE though.
Almost every WR screen NE runs has someone illegally blocking down field since, I don't know, 2010? But they get away with it play over play, game over game, season over season. And Hartline got called twice already this year. Just silly.
I have been impressed with Miller this year, but they still need quality depth at RB. A TE would be nice, but I won't hold my breath. I'd like a MLB and more corners.
if the Bucs didn't have 12 men on the field it could have been a perfect week. i am so glad we are seeing a good opponent against new england and the game is not in foxborro. how rare is that?
jesus, rogers is breaking the pocket and making plays all day thus far. revis the best, never relinquished the title..
He's basically Terrell Owens without the mouth. Maybe not quite as physical (it's closer than you think) but just as fast and has better hands.
no i understand his physicality, he's super strong and super fast..I made the joke before that I think he's playing soul man part 2.
Wallace had a lot of space in week 1. Revis is great at the mental aspects of the game but pure speed gives him problems. Notice the commentary. When Revis gets burned one-on-one, he may have been expecting help. Tomorrow, that will go down the memory hole and he'll be "Revis Island" again, the guy who never gets, needs, or expects help because he's something that hasn't existed since Deion hung 'em up: a shutdown corner.
Absolutely. I think Revis is one of the top 2-3 corners in the game, and wouldn't even be opposed to putting him at #1. He's just not a shutdown corner, because that title is extinct.
I am looking forward to the Dolphins down the stretch, but I've been enjoying the Rodgers-Nelson-Cobb show this year. Cobb's in a contract year. How much does he get for a signing bonus this offseason?
I don't believe that, if you watch him in isolation his mirroring skills, tracking, physicality, ability to play the run, is 2nd to none in history..was dion a better over corner, sure, overall corner, i think revis is the best.
Those " out and up routes" are a thing of beauty ( when they work, of course). I wonder why we don't do that more often ourselves. And before anyone says it, I KNOW Tannehill is not Rodgers.
I agree that Revis has a lot of great attributes and is a first ballot hall of famer. Still, Revis is vulnerable if you have a Mike Wallace or even a Ted Ginn on your team. Deion wasn't. Deion took away half the field, Revis doesn't. Granted, Revis is much, much better in run support. Oddly, run support mattered more when Deion was playing. I am not adding this to take away from anybody, I was just thinking about this and thought it was interesting to me. Also, I can see how a guy who didn't tackle wouldn't make his way to #1 on a lot of people's lists.
As for this game, who here wouldn't bother wasting a timeout on 3rd and 13 deep in your own territory?
Revis Island gets burnt more often than fans/ media want to admit. Nelson proved that on a common in route before the half. I'm sure he will be in the HOF, but I also see how well he played when not with a great D around him. We can show those Tampa Bay highlights in due time.
