In summary he is out for the year.He is a free agent next year. Its doubtful he will be resigned because of his injury prone history unless he lowers his asking price.
such a downer for that dude and us..should ready by camp and of course I offer him a one year deal with incentives..
He'll very likely never play for Miami again. I would predict that he'll want a contract similar to what we gave him this year, and someone will give it to him. I'd much rather look at someone younger like Ryan Matthews or Mark Ingram to pair with Miller.
why would you think he is any position to negotiate anything, and that any team would fall for it.. hes not stupid, hes gonna have to sacrifice and prove himself, would love to be that team that allows him the chance.
Has Matthews played a full season in his career? Ingram is going to want to get paid, and while he puts up okay numbers, he does not have that beastly power you'd want to compliment Miller. He falls down at first contact on most runs, no matter how light the tackle. I think he could benefit from running with a lower pad level before contact. Not a real "natural" 'back. I would take Moreno back in a heartbeat if healthy and hope one of the young bucks on the roster develops. Maybe even draft a guy.
he's gonna need that grimes-esque prove it deal again I guess, possibly a bit more team friendly, but I do it without hesitation, imo. The team had fire in the pats game. He brought crazy energy and ran hard til his last down, and you could tell the other players bought into him.
such a bummer because Moreno was looking like a bargain at 3 million. He looked like the Moreno we all knew from his UGA days. Even though his season was massively cut short, it was a joy watching him run up New England's ***hole. Not much has been said about losing our starting running back but I bet his injury cost us 1 or 2 wins.
I felt when Moreno went down, the offense lost a lot of their heart. He was the right guy at the right time for us. Too f'n bad. Makes me sick.
Losing Albert, Moreno and having Clay hobbled all year has been devastating. Didn't help to have Jordon and Jones suspended. We needed luck as far as health and didn't get it. Those 3 on offense make us a different team. Now we have to try to do it with backups. Maybe Clay can go vs. the Ravens. Hope so!
I would love to see him back next year at the right price. But we should also draft a RB at some point in the draft.
i tried really hard...but in week 14 with 4 posts a thread like that....looks like trolling to me...but whatever
