Weren't defensive players barking about bad schemes against kc? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Byroan read it as "Every week" and if you look at it, I'm pretty sure he's right. I think that makes it worse than emotions of the moment, because it eludes to more long-term issues and building frustration.
I don't know if anyone noticed, but if you watch the replay, it very much appears that Odrick had a chance to tackle Forsett at about the line of scrimmage and gave almost no effort in that regard. Philbin may have been the one who initiated that "conversation" with Odrick after he saw the same thing, I don't know. But watch the replay.
@jaredodrick98…I put my body on the line for a common cause and I would do it over and over for the men that are apart of this organization. #phinsup Odrick pumping the brakes a little. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
This is not the first time this has happened with Odrick by the way, against the Jets on Monday night I heard I think it was Phil Simms on the radio say he saw Odrick going off on the coaches on the sideline after the Jets marched down the field with ease for a TD on that opening drive. just fire Failbin already
According to the Twitter, there is more explosive footage of Odrick that is being circulated. Should be on the local news tonight.
Tempers get the best of players in the game all the time. In this case though, with the history of the Dolphins in late season games under Philbin, it just might be a sign that players are starting to lose faith in Philbin and the coaching staff. I believe it is up to each player to perform to the best of their ability each and every game. Yet I also understand that players have to play the game with the belief their coaches have prepared them in the best manner possible for their opponent. It appears by the way the defense just seemed to quit late in the fourth quarter, they just aren't playing their best for this head coach. It also appears that he is close to losing this team. If if the Dolphins lose to the Patriots next week, I won't be surprised in the least if they also lose to the Vikings and Jets and finish the season 7-9.
Exactly. I wouldn't read much into it. It goes on during a lot of football games. JO is a good guy but he bottles up his emotions. He's going to let rip every once in awhile.
Someone speculated Odrick was originally barking at Coyle and Philbin intervened which led to Odrick then bark at him. Makes sense with the "Every week!" remark which was about Coyle.
To me I want to see the teams reaction when they play the Patriots .We are a good matchup for them.If our play is substandard then we will know the players have packed it in and dont care what happens to Philbin.
Players publicly and openly disrespecting the staff has been a common theme over Philbins tenure. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
We did not pack it in today. We have problems with playcalling, we can't score. Three quarters and no scores. Some of it is with line protection and QB, but most of it is with the OC. slinging it out, putting us in sack situations. This is not the first game we lost like that, it's the 5th game we lost like that. Guys played hard. On D, blitzing ruined us, we don't have LBers to play like that.
Maybe he is supporting Philbs.... Or maybe saying, me and my teammates are tight. Like soldiers bonding but hating the general whose orders they disagree with? I mean, really you can't get much out of this either way.
PLayers never do this to Belichick. I've never hear dor seen of this kind of thing on the Pats sideline. Strangely, they win a lot in big games. We don't.... Probably unrelated.
with this Oline, we are going to get our butts kicked next week. I'm not looking forward to sitting in those stands, freezing my *** off and listening to all the m*******s cheering everytime they score.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...off-on-joe-philbin-on-sideline-002202390.html "It gets firey out there, and it's good." -Philbum LOL. Get out Philbum.
They don't do it to Belichick because Belichick's job is secure. When Odrick is kicked off the team, and I hope it's next week, he will start respecting his next coach. By the way, Patriots have choked for going on 10 years now. So much for success in big games.
I think I read that Kevin Coyle was in the vicinity? Maybe it was directed at Coyle, but just said in Philbin's direction? It's a non-issue at this point. And these things do happen on the Pats sidelines. There is a Youtube vid where Brady and his former coordinator (Polian, I believe) go at it. It's football. Things gets heated. Not a big deal. Even in the post-game interviews, both Odrick and Philbin squashed it. Philbin still has control, regardless of the W-L record and the disappointment of the loss. At least we're not seeing a Dez Bryant scenario. I do not know why people are nit-picking.
How much big game success does Philbin have again? Possibly the worst December head coach in the NFL. I dont have the stats with me but I bet he's on that list and so is Jason Garrett.
Added Odrick: “It’s tough to find that gauge of what’s too much emotion and what’s not enough. You never want to border that line of not enough. I think one thing that I bring to the game of football is emotion and I try to do it in the most positive way possible.”Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article4326288.html#storylink=cpy Another jab at Philbin?
Ahhhhh so by that account you're suggesting Philbin's job isn't secure..... yet you'd "love to sign him to a 10 year contract" if you could? BTW, at least when the Patriots choke, it's in the post season. Philbin's choke jobs ensure we never reach the playoffs.
If Philbin survives I could see Odrick not being re-signed or shipped off to another team.In fact we may get a repeat of the Sparano situation where the team just packs it in.
