It's not a question of who should go and who should stay. It's a question of what you're able to get in return. Every one of those players and coaches has a variety of pros and cons associated with them. I'll be the first to say we would be smart to trade Wallace for instance, but I wouldn't do it for a late rounder.

Odrick - STAY (assuming his contract demands are reasonable) Wake - STAY, but GO if you can get a sweet enough package. I only say this because of his age. Ideally I'd like to keep him. Grimes - STAY Vernon - STAY Jordan - GO (or use him properly/differently. In his current role in this D, he's useless IMO) Delmas - STAY, if healthy enough to be ready for next season and you cant find another replacement. R. Jones - STAY B. Gibson - GO (cut, just doesn't have a role here, although since I'm also cutting Hartline, I'd consider keeping him) C. Sturgis - GO R. Matthews - STAY Wallace - GO (Unless he re-structures for us, which I doubt, we need a real deep threat, not just a guy who runs fast) Clay - STAY Sims - PUSH (I'd keep him, because he's developed nicely as a decent blocker and decent receiver, but he's not special) Miller - STAY Hartline - GO (Cut, trade, don't care. Maybe he's still not right (mentally) afte rthe knee problems, or just been phased out of the offense, either way he's not earning what he's making) Tannehill - STAY Lazor - STAY Coyle - GO Philbin - GO, FAR, FAR AWAY. Those are my quick initial reactions, Although I'm sure I might change my opinion on some the more I think about it. Now that I've added some additional comments... let me also say my decisions to cut guys etc, is not takign the cap into consideration obviously. So obviously that prevents us from those moves, but that's where my thoughts are on the individual players.
I'm right there with you, especially from RT down. I'd like to keep Louie D, but you know he won't give you 16 games. Maybe he could restructure. Wallace has to go, unless for some crazy reason, he restructured. Do like the way he has played this season though. And I wouldn't send Sturgis anywhere, until we have a guy in camp kicking his ***. Then take your consistent 40 yard misses right the hell outta here!
Only one player is on my must go list so hear me out. Tannehill must go, this guy in three years as a starter has only lead two fourth quarter come from behind victories, I dont want to hear how its all the offensive line fault either. Miami will NEVER make the playoffs with a QB who is only accurate on dink and dunks. It is clear the coaching staff has abandoned the deep pass based on Tannehills inability to complete long passes. I have to ask you if you are down by four points in the 4th quarter and no time outs, is Tannehill the guy you have confidence in leading this team down the field? If Miami does keep this guy they better ask him to take a pay cut because he does not play like a first rounder should. I said my piece and thank you.
Odrick - STAY Wake - STAY Grimes - STAY Vernon - STAY Jordan - Stay In different role. Delmas - STAY R. Jones - STAY B. Gibson - GO C. Sturgis - GO Get a stronger leg R. Matthews - STAY Wallace - STAY provided we get a QB who can make a long throw Clay - STAY Sims - GO Miller - STAY Hartline - GO Tannehill - STAY As a back up to the man who can complete a long pass...unless we trade for something Lazor - STAY Coyle - GO Philbin - GO
Odrick - GO B. Gibson - GO C. Sturgis - GO R. Matthews - GO Hartline - GO Lazor - STAY (but must be stripped of duties for the remainder of 2014 games)
Man, I want to know what the heck did Ryan Tannehill do for some people to want to give him the boot or to downgrade his status.
What has he done to get this upgraded status? The guy is not a winner, his fourth quarter numbers are vomitus for a "franchise" quarterback. Everyone here likes to point fingers at the offensive line, the guy with the dropped ball, blah blah blah. I saw SNF last night and I saw New England's offensive line get the **** beat out of them, but it made no difference, Brady releases the ball right a second and a half after the snap, he makes quick decisions and gets winning plays done. He also has a tremendous feel for the pocket. That talent is not just on Brady, it's on many elite quarterbacks. Tannehill had a bunch of missed opportunities in the Jets game and yesterday. I'm not saying get rid of the guy, I'm saying bring in competition before we hand over an Andy Dalton-like contract to a quarterback that has never won, has zero postseason experience, and folds on crunch time. It's time to get that seat hot, maybe it sparks Tannehill and he turns it around and gets serious. But next year is YEAR 4, meanwhile every rookie or second year quarterback worth a damn has been on the playoffs and won a game.
Odrick - Stay Wake - Stay Grimes - Stay Vernon - Stay Jordan - Stay Delmas - Go R. Jones - Stay B. Gibson - Go C. Sturgis - Indifferent, I don't see him as negative as most around here do. If there's a better option then, Go R. Matthews - Stay Wallace - Stay (at restructured deal) Clay - Stay Sims - Stay Miller - Stay Hartline - Stay Tannehill - Stay Lazor - Stay Coyle - First to GO. Philbin - Go

The only (go) who is imperative on this list is Philbin. Once he is gone, I'll be happy to leave it up to the next head coach to determine who else he wants to keep or get rid of from the list of names. Right now I don't think there are many players or coaches on this team who should feel comfortable about their jobs with this team heading into next season, IMO.
Delmas, Gibson, Hartline, Sturgis, Clay, Coyle and Philbin can all go. Everyone else we should keep but.....I'm undecided on Lazor, if the new coach wants to keep him then that's fine with me. and with Odrick it depends on how much he wants.

Odrick - stay for the right price Wake - go if we can get a high draft pick Grimes - stay (both becuase he's great and huge cap hit). Vernon - keep and extend Jordan - keep (huge cap hit, and could be used better) Delmas - go R. Jones - keep (good and huge cap hit) B. Gibson - go absolutely C. Sturgis - go if we can do better R. Matthews - keep but not extend yet Wallace - keep until next offseason Clay - keep at right price but not break the bank Sims - keep (why would we let him go, hes cheap and under contract?) Miller - keep and extend Hartline - keep for 2015 Tannehill - keep, pick up 2016 option. No competition. All in for two more years. Lazor - go Coyle - go Philbin - please please please go

I don't feel like Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry are particularly better than LaFell/Edelman/Amendola. Wallace has more speed but quite frankly, he is not a good wide receiver. Gronk is an elite player the likes of which this franchise has not sniffed in 30 years.
I'm pretty sure LaFell and Edelman has been more consistent than any receiver we have on the roster sans Landry
I'd take either LaFell or Edelman as a starter over Hartline. Every day of the week. Edelman is a great playmaker. And, he adds a great PR factor. But, even as a WR, he is pretty close to a Wes Welker clone with speed.

Really? Because I saw him hit Wallace with a beauty about 30 yards down field while on the run against Baltimore. We've seen him hit down field to other WR's too. It's just that damn Mike Wallace guy we're inaccurate with. Maybe its the fact that Wallace's document traits of being a poor route runner, and poor pure catcher of the football, and poor ball tracking skills, and his tendency to improvise his routes. Maybe, just maybe some of those things have something to do with it. I mean, look at the effort on the throw to the endzone in the Baltimore game this weekend. Sure, it's not on his numbers, but its to an open spot in the endzone and it's not unreasonable to expect your WR to track that ball, adjust, and make that catch. Lets not forget the at least two deep strikes we connected on, where the WR didn't keep his feet in bounds. You realize that throwing the ball deep, that far down field, to a guy that varies his speed as he runs his routes is a difficult task right? Wallace just simply runs, and expects the ball to drop into his hands. Watched some of the GB game this weekend, Saw Rodgers go deep, saw the WR slow up a bit and adjust to an underthrown ball, saw WR's reach out or lay out for passes that were a bit overthrown. Do you see Wallace do that? The only guy on this WR depth chart that does any of that is Jarvis Landry, and we've seen Matthews too. Also, along the sidelines, Hartline. I think there's alot to this problem. Tannehills accuracy down field might not be perfect, but he doesnt get an awul lot of help either. It takes two.
Simply STAY or GO Odrick-stay, he's such a valuable player and should be appreciated more. Wake- Can't believe he's on this list....STAY smdh! Grimes- Stay, just because he's 30 doesn't mean he's dead and can't play. Vernon- See Wake above Jordan- Stay, but WTF are we doing with him? This blunder of a draft pick is on the coaching staff. Delmas- Stay, but we need to see what Aikens can do first, We need depth at that position if we are keeping Delmas. R. Jones- Stay, this guy, Cam Wake, Odrick, and Grimes should not even be on this list. B. Gibson- Peace out, He drops balls, very limited in terms of skillset. C. Sturgis- Stay, I think we can grow with him as our guy. R. Matthews- Stay, he makes plays....When he plays (again thats on the coaching staff, he should be playing). Wallace- Peace out homie, kick rocks Clay- Stay, big play potential, we can find a way to use him...Dude is a valuable piece to our offense. Sims- Stay...All day, He needs to work on his conditioning, but he's emerged this year for us. Miller- Stay, he's got a bright future. Hartline- Stay, despite having an off year he still seems to make plays. Tannehill- Stay, WHO'S GONNA REPLACE HIM ATM? Lazor- Stay, he's showed enough to me Coyle- Peace out, we have failed over and over again at opportune times...Rex Ryan should get a call. Philbin- I go back and forth, if we have an opportunity to get Rex Ryan here, i'd be all for replacing Phailbin, then again....maybe we need to grow together....See...I don't know.
