    the poor house
they talked about that during the game yesterday.

Philbin is 3-6 or something in December and another stat was rather unflattering as well.

Well, its a year late but he got his chance to prove that he could change the culture and failed honestly. While I don't think you necessarily need a rah-rah guy in charge, you do need someone that's not queasy, and you definitely need someone that'll make changes if somethings not working.

Well, I wouldn't be bothered if Philbin is gone at this point. Maybe Tony Dungy will get the coaching bug.

That'd be one of the worst possible options to choose from, slightly above bringing back Cam Cameron and Jeff Ireland.

I just want Joe Philbin fired. He may be a good guy. Hope he lands on his feet somewhere, as I'm sure he will. However, I don't want him anywhere near Miami.

The have to interview a minority candidate first. Based on his background and his connection to Ross' buddy Mike Tanenbaum, I'm betting that its Hugh jackson.

True. But you have to fire him first. We have gone looking at coaches with another coach still here...didn't work out well. If we want to replace Philbin, you fire him and go after your targeted coaches but have backup plans.

I agree I think he comes back.....Ross was on a plane looking for Sparano's replacement, yet Meatball was back the next year. He stuck with Ireland when it was plain he was not a very good personnel person. Ross it seems lacks the pension for knowing when the correct time is to move in his football dealings. I don't expect him to change this time. Philbin will be back.

I think hes fired next week. Our players will be checked out and let Minnesota toy with them now that there is no motivation.

He seems like the type of guy that would get along so well with Philbin he'd make him OC and assistant head coach

  13. Yes I agree I think maybe I did not express myself clearly. I did not mean to interview anyone before letting philbin go. Ross should know better than that.

I meant that they should figure out who they want and be prepared to make him an offer he can't refuse. Otherwise they will end up with another. Philbin type and be doing the same thing again and again. In that scenario i rather stick it out with philbin another year.

Also if philbin goes there's a good chance labor goes too and either Tanny is learning a new offense or he is gone too.

I hadn't thought about how similar they are really, but yeah they are darn near the same guy! I was just throwing out a proven winner, and someone who is not Rex Ryan. Would love Jon Gruden as well.

    Interesting quote from Mike Pouncey...
Of course, if someone had my back through personal issues, i'd back them as well to the end.
