Honestly I hate Lazor's offense with a passion! It's a gimmick & he's trying to copy Chip Kelly. My favorite offense is Pro-Style. You know quarterback under center, I-formation, running between the tackles. Maybe a change would be beneficial.
Isn't our offense more productive than it's been in years? The problem, again, is the offensive line is not playing well enough. The system is fine.
Isn't "I" and "pro" mutually exclusive? I'm not always thrilled w/ his play calling or his run/pass balance, but he's the best we've had in a while and has scored some points (when we had a line).
were pretty much running a west coast offense without a lot of naked action or bootleg right? I would like to run more out of the read option, have more naked and bootleg action, and have someone, anyone, teach the qb when to bail and run for yardage..its called maximizing your qbs strengths.
Naked bootlegs, when they work, are pretty fun to watch. You can almost see the D pucker. However, when your QB turns and runs smack into a big, hairy DE.......
you mean chip kelly's offense that is #2 in the league in scoring, only 2 points behind the patriots and ahead of the packers? I'll take that any day of the week.
Lazor isn't any better with this offense line. Unless our PPG dropping almost 10 ppg impresses you? It's unbelievable the amount of **** Sherman gets around here. You and your ilk act like he had the Denver Broncos offense and somehow managed to screw it up.
We've scored 10 more points this year and still have two games to go. We're currently 12th in the league, up from 26. We've also improved in yards. We were 27th last year, now we're 19th. Are you Zac Taylor? Otherwise, you have no reason to back him. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
The full pro-style offense now includes read-option concepts. Thinking that the read-option is gimmicky is akin to when people claimed the shotgun was a gimmick and would go away. The offense we have now is just an evolution of the pro-style offense. I would not be in favor of shifting back to a less evolved version that ignores half the skills of our QB. And IMO the spacing of our offense is night and day better over what we had under Sherman, particularly in the run game. While I'm not one who claims Sherman was horrible, I do believe his offense was limited and see Lazor as a significant upgrade.
I'm not backing him. I'm backing logic. I don't think it was Sherman's fault that he had an historically bad offensive line. And Lazor's ppg are down significantly since Albert's injury. Sound familiar?
Andrew Luck & Joe Flacco run it to perfection. Maybe with a great offensive line Tannehill might be able to. Who knows...
Isn't the oline actually playing worse this year? Someone had that broken down somewhere on here I thought...
read option is a viable running formation, ryan tannehill has the highest ypc amongst any qbs when he does, he's also lethal running and throwing to his left and right..I can only hope the offense evolves more in those directions, then you'll get the qb's best.
This offense is better. It's got Tannehill playing better. And it's definitely more fun to watch. I don't miss "go go". - posted via Tapatalk -
