After the TD to Clay, Wallace threw a fit and went up to Tannehill crying. RT basically told him to F off. And Wallace BENCHED himself! This should be interesting....
Wallace As a former football player, a man, a teammate, someone who has bled next to my teammates and engulfed the entire life of "team player"..... **** YOU. We go 93 yards, take the lead into halftime with a beauiful 20+ yard td pass to Charles Clay from Tannehill....meanwhile the entire drive, Tannehill is blasted every play.....shot here, helmet ripped at there....he keeps getting up playing tough.....we score and what do you do???? Start *****ing to coaches or the QB about YOUR catches. YOUR reps. YOUR rock. **** you Mike Wallace. Highest paid player, and Steelers fans laughed their asses off when we signed you to that contract. They're in the playoffs btw. You sit there and ***** and moan about your own personal stats as the T-E-A-M just went down to score......**** you......I will gladly donate money to the organization to cut or trade you. **** it, keep you on the team and keep you inactive all next year, you're a joke of a teammate, and that post game media process with Gibson talking for you? You're a *****.
This from another thread - did you ever think Wallace doesn't partake???????? Just asking That's the point on this last day of another season. It's the hope, too. If anything echoes today beyond the disappointment of recent years, it's the incremental lowering of standards in a once-proud franchise. Everyone's in on it. The owner. The coach. The players. Even some fans and media, for whom the idea of beating the Jets and having a winning season means a progressive step forward was taken. No matter they were effectively eliminated from the playoffs with two games left. No matter their defense, rather than improving, was shredded as the games turned most important. Nine wins. A winning season. It's in their grasp Sunday. Whee!
Team players are not something associated with this regime of Dolphins... one of many problems this franchise faces. Philbin will find a way to sweep it under the rug... make it a non issue. Make it comfortable for Mr. Wallace to pull a similar stunt next year. ... same as he has always done for every selfish idiot on this team. You can flip off the coach, ***** about reps, yell at coaches, leave the team without permission... just make sure you go to bed on time!

Mike Wallace has earned the right to be pissed off to be perfectly fair. He's put up 10 TDs this year while being horribly under-utilized. He's had to watch his best attribute get wasted week-in, week-out because of bad play-calling, a horrible O-line, and a QB that rarely wants to push the ball down-field. The guy has been getting wide open all season and Tannehill has failed to make use of that. You guys can complain about Wallace getting pissed 1 day out of 365, but the guy has earned that and he's kept his mouth shut all year. In a meaningless game that wasn't going to net us anything, Wallace probably let the coaches know how he felt. Good for him. The coaches need to hear that and Tannehill needs to feel some pressure, too. Mike Wallace has played the "good guy" all year long and has bitten his tongue over and over because he's been forced to play on an 8-8 team. If he finally got a little hot under the collar, good for him. I'm not going to take that personally. At the very least, I can say I understand his frustration. Maybe it doesn't look great to some of you, but at the end of the day it probably needs to be addressed.

I watched him, bald light skinned black coach came up to Tannehill, Ryan basically was like "wtf, back off" and the coach bailed, then they cut to Wallace on bench, arms stretched out to the sides, Philbin chatting with him with hand on his shoulder, same light skinned black coach in front of wallace.....I bet the coach told Ryan "Hey Wallace is hot about his targets" or some ****, and Tannehill is like "dude **** you, I just got destroyed all drive and threw a TD pass"
Still bizarre. He had a relatively good season and fans were at least content at his increased effort and fire, tied his personal best of 10 TDs. Why throw a hissy fit in the middle of a game, a meaningless game to boot. Makes very little sense.
lmao he "earned" to be a ***** *** fake team player.....**** him....if I was in that locker room I'd slap him.....not punch....slap....cause Mike Grimes is a bigger "man" than he is. Hes the highest paid WR in the league, he needs to ask Santa for a bigger sack next season, cause hes got the balls of a 5 year old boy.
I generally like your posts. You could not be more dead wrong. You pick a better time to voice your displeasure. You pick a better time to act like a child. You pick a better time to quit on your team. You pick a better time to put your needs above the rest of the team. There were a million ways for Wallace to handle any problem he had today then how he did. You pick a better time to show EVERYONE what you are about and what you consider MORE important than the team needs
Does anyone have a problem with leaving Tannehill in the game at the end of a meaningless game to get creamed repeatedly by the Jets defense. Jesus some of those hits could have done a lot of damage
I just watched "When the Game Stands Tall" last night. Philbin should make Wallace watch it 10 times to learn what a teammate is. FYI, highly recommend that movie!
It happens. It's football. None of the fans in this forum have lifted the weights or done the workouts that Mike Wallace has. During what I would call another "disappointing" season for Wallace in Miami, he's still managed to get 10 TDs. The guy has put in the work and the effort so if he gets mad once or twice about something, I'm not going to act like he raped my sister.
Wallace This is asinine. He was the 6th highest paid player in the league this season and you're painting him as some kind of martyr? He's a limited WR with even more limited cognitive function. There's no excuse for bailing on your teammates under any circumstance.
How exactly did Wallace quit in his team? He didn't refuse to play. The coaches benched him in their infinite genius. WR and QBs get into it all the time. Only on this team of losers does it become a huge issues. Everyone needs to grow up including Tannehill. Until further notice he's as much a loser as the rest of them
All I'm saying is that until we know exactly what happened, throwing Mike Wallace and all his effort this season under the bus is dumb. Sometimes people get mad. You guys can get over that just like I'm sure Mike Wallace will get over whatever he was ticked off about.
"Gets mad"....... dude he ****ing was complainging about HIS OWN catches after a 93 yard td drive for his teammates. Hes a "me first" joke.
Definitely strange, but I don't see it as any reason to run him out of town. They ended up losing by 10 against a bad team, punctuating their season with a 3-5 finish after a 5-3 start. I'm not sure why more players weren't throwing hissy fits in the middle of more games.
There's no excuse for doing what he allegedly did. Him being frustrated, I understand. Him throwing a hissy fit in the middle of a game and leaving his team mates, I do not. Again, if this is really what happened.
He did all those things with his teammates and then bailed on them in a game. Tannehill was getting killed out there and Wallace gets a "pass" because he was not targeted enough in the 1st qtr of the last game of the year? sorry...inexcusable
When do you ever see a WR and QB get into it after a 93 yard drive going into halftime, and a 20+ yard TD pass to a teammate? Wallace is an idiot.
I wouldn't blame him. First time since Danny we find a QB, and he wants to leave....would just be the Cherry on top since 1999.
I know you're joking, and I know the chances of that even happening are extremely slim, but if it did, I'd be reacting Zach Levine when he got drafted by the Minnesota T'Wolves.
I do agree. Wallace showed improved effort and fire this season, not to mention improved production. This team has enough holes and enough problems without creating another. Tannehill and Wallace talk it over, solve the problem if there is one, and move on.
