    what to do?

    1) we need a serious upgrade @ defensive coordinator
    2) thirteen unrestricted free agents in March, who to keep?

    QB_ Matt Moore
    S_ Delmas & Wilson
RB_ Knowshon , Thomas & LaMichael James
    DT _Jared Odrick
    OL_ Satele & Jason Fox
    TE_ Charles Clay
    LB_ Trusnik & Kelvin Sheppard.
    3) under contract, but possible cuts:
    WR_ Gibson & Hartline
    LB_ Ellerbe & Wheeler
    DT_ Randy Starks
    OL_ Shelley Smith & Garner
    CB_ Finnegan

Of the UFAs, maybe Odrick, definitely Clay, preferably Trusnik as well. None of the rest.

UFA - Odrick and Clay. Maybe Satele if he comes back cheap as a backup.

I would cut - Ellerbe, S. Smith, Garner, Fields, Gibson and maybe Starks

I would seriously explore trading Wake too

It's hard to say because most of those guys are decent and could be assets at the right price. I'd like to have Clay and Odrick back but I'd be very wary of overpaying for either one.

With Delmas and Wilson being FAs, we have a gaping need at FS. Hardly anyone is talking about that. Finnegan is a liability (not to mention he's worth $5.5M) so I'm happy to let Davis and Taylor battle for the 2nd CB spot.

I don't think we'll cut Starks. I don't see the logic on that one. Firstly, he's not a bad rotational player. Secondly, we're starving for talent at the DT position already.

I second the motion regarding Wake. We have to start looking into the future there and acknowledge his ultimate decline (which many would argue has already begun). I use the Jason Taylor argument. You're better off trading them while they have some value as opposed to sitting back and watching the demise. If you trust that your GM can find decent talent in the 2nd or 3rd round, it's makes a lot of sense to try and move Wake for a pick in that area.

    QB_ Matt Moore - cut
S_ Delmas & Wilson - cut (should have brought back Clemons when he was available)
RB_ Knowshon , Thomas & LaMichael James - cut all (i like Miller + Williams + a new guy)
DT _Jared Odrick - keep either Odrick or Starks
OL_ Satele & Jason Fox - keep Satele at vet min, cut Fox
TE_ Charles Clay - keep (should help that he had a down year, shouldn't be too expensive)
LB_ Trusnik & Kelvin Sheppard. - cut (need new backups LBs badly)
    3) under contract, but possible cuts:
WR_ Gibson & Hartline - keep one of two
LB_ Ellerbe & Wheeler - cut both
DT_ Randy Starks - keep either Odrick or Starks
OL_ Shelley Smith & Garner - cut both (keep Albert, Pouncey, James, Turner, Satele, possible Thomas (only at G) find new swing G, T)
    CB_ Finnegan - cut

much will depend on player health & money. if conditions dictate, I would like to retain Knowshon, Odrick, Moore, Satele, Turner or Thomas & Garner. we need desperately to find another DC & field goal kicker.

clay needs to be re-signed ASAP, i would keep satele as a backup as long as the price was right and move pouncey back to center. i would also like to see odrick back ellerbe, wheeler, coyle, can go take a giant flying ****. gibson and hartline both can go if the dolphins plan on adding a big bodied receiver to play across wallace(which can be another issue altogether)

Sign Clay if price is right. Trusnik as a back up. Cut all those guys that are under contract. Before I was staunchly against trading Wake but again today he was a no show. If they can get a 2nd round pick for him I would be all ears. He is getting older and he will continue to regress plus part of me just wants to see him traded to a contender. My favorite player. Got his jersey. Don't want his last years with this dumb owner and a team that might not even make the playoffs.

    Why all the Trusnik support?

The guy is horribly slow. He's a Special Teams player only. Why do we need that kind of player at all?

Every time he's on the field on defense as a LB, he shows himself to be a huge liability. Terrible in coverage and like I said...

    ...SLOW.

    What are we looking at?

Something around $6M at this point?

That's definitely too much for his production.

    cut
    ellerbe,Hartline after June 1st.

cut, finnigen, Misi, Gibson, fields, smith, garner, don jones, and Starks

try to trade, wake, Jordan, and Wallace.
That gives us roughly 34 million in cap room with the 8 million carry over
