That makes more sense. The new structure would be installed on top of the existing one to extend it.

they could even lower the playing field a bit like the Wilson in Beefalo to help achieve that rake too. just a possibility since they are removing all the seats after this season anyway. I bet the corner sections are what we lose when they do this.

DJ this is where I think you have to give Ross the benefit of the doubt. Hes not an idiot...if it really was as easy as you make it sound, I cant imagine he wouldnt go that route....just to make SunLife less of a competitive argument. There are so many things to consider....depreciation for one....lets see what they can do with the 300 Million he is planning on spending.

You will be pleasantly surprised. My initial thought was that the lower bowl would need to be razed. That isn't the case anymore.

If you move the front row on the sidelines 20-30 yards closer to the field at the same height you can use the existing structure as the foundation for the new one. The slope will be more like a movie theater than it is now.

my benefit of the doubt, its being content he's doing something that will help, smart?I was talking about a new intimidating to spec venue before the Seahawks did it right, looks like I was right Vt , paid off quite nicely, that thing/12 th man is a whole company by itself at this Point, I don't see it being that difficult if your worth billions..

Not hard, just takes the vision and the balls..

Im sure there is a very sound fiscal reason for not doing that. Trust me.....ID LOVE nothing else then to have that kind of stadium for the Phins.

We'll see, I don't know why it's not clear with the architecture if indeed their reconstructing the lower bowl.

The only way we get a nice, new, shiny, Jerry Jones-esque building is if Ross moves this club to Qatar. I hear you can get a nice 85K seater for a budget price as long as you have no enmity for slave labour.

Still too bad they couldn't just plop the orange bowl down inside, but it has begun...

Too bad Ross decided to renovate the stadium instead of the coaching/FO staff...

So, next season we'll have a revamped stadium and the same old team...

That canopy will add more noise by default. I wonder if there has been any attempt to amp up and focus that energy down to the playing field. Has anyone heard of any acoustical engineering for the canopy?

Lol..not laughing at you sir, just the idea that they would be thinking about that..

Adding sound because of the roof is a false sense of an advantage..if the structure and fans are not somehow closer to the field by design then it will be nothing but a pretty place to visit and much more comfortable to watch the game.

I did notice there seems to be another video rendering of the stadium renovations, which aren't much different than what we've seen before except for a slightly different configuration in the corners and seat colors. In the new video, the seat colors are now a darker blue (like our 3rd color, I guess) as opposed to the aqua color they were in earlier renderings.

Just the fact that they'll be changing the awful orange seats warms my heart.
