It's walkway that would connect the various sections of the lower bowl. So Instead of coming out of the tunnel to your section, most likely you would come out to the promenade and then head down to your section.
I guess I dont understand how. Lower bowl cant go higher then the club seats. I dont know. I guess I just cant invision it.
Some posters here are really dense. See, our stadium atmosphere sucks because fans sit so far away from the field. To solve this, Ross is blowing up the seats and adding a new rake. I can't be sure it will look exactly like this, but it will be very similar to the image below: Notice that this rake sports a new design. Above the teeth of the rake sits a panel that will prevent leaves from spilling over the top. With Ross' commitment to excellence and this new rake, we can expect a much improved fan experience at the stadium
FYI... the club level currently sits about 6ft or so higher than the top row of the 100 section... so they have some room to play with there.
if that pic is accurate there is a lot of changes to the concrete, club level and lower deck is as one, there some serious stuff being done to the corner lower end zones, and it looks like the upper bowl overlaps the lower bowl, which is all just freakin awesome, I really wonder if this is the blueprint, because there are definite changes in the structure from that pic...I would love for them to saw off some rows at the top as well and that pic kind of looks like that..
I'm not sure how much stock I would put into the rendering, it looks like it was done some time ago since it has the old logo at midfield and the endzones.
true, but there are obvious changes to the lower structure, i mean like whats up with that lower middle shot in the corner of the end zone, thats not what our stadium configuration is at the moment..?
also, if you look at the pic close, the lower stands, you can see the rake is at another maybe 30 degrees steep wise then what it is.. I like to think of my jesus as a mischievous badger..please let the design that I'm seeing be an accurate one.
These will be missed: Farewell pre-1997 logo. So I wonder are the new seats Aqua or Dark Blue some renderings have one, some have the other.
One cool thing about the pic above, which I remember seeing when Ross first proposed changes to the stadium (it was all over the papers and there were several digital drawings), and hopefully the seating will approximate that to some degree, is the cover over the upper deck. This will not only add noise to the stadium (ala Seattle) but it will also be great for fans in the upper deck. Both in terms of keeping the sun off of them but also in terms of rain. I love that aspect of it. It will help draw in the non-season ticket holder and more marginal fan; which is a big factor to attendance and then also to the excitement of the game as a whole. This is really going to be a great thing for Miami. It's interesting how often new stadiums tend to coincide with teams losing some of their mojo (e.g., Bears; 49ers this year; the Dolphins when they went from the OB to Joe Robbie; etc.), though not always (Gillette stadium started in 2002 - but construction began in 1999). But, in this instance, since Miami has had such a terrible culture of dysfunctionality and mediocrity, I think this could really be a positive impact on the team's culture. It's not like they are a great winning tradition that finally gets their brand new fancy stadium (ala 49ers), they haven't been a storied franchise since Don left, ostensibly, 20 years ago. So, I think this will be a great thing and that the franchise will turn around. That's my hope.
times 2..I really think it will impact our franchise positively, and most importantly competitively, of course if you have a lame duck coach going into a season it will be tough, but eventually this will have a dramatic effect, i mean this thing besides the roof is gonna be done by this upcoming season, how cool is that.
this is gonna be the longest thread ever, those pics will start to come in of new concrete and we get to dream all offseason about the possibilities..
Yeak I know, but still, were fixing our venue man in seemingly all the right places...i really don't care what happens next year..lol
