This is correct, face-guarding is illegal in NCAA not NFL, and really I think there still needs to be contact in the NCAA.

I didn't expect the Ravens to beat Pittsburgh, but now that they have, I can see them causing problems for NE.

Actually just read that face guarding is legal in the NFL only if NO CONTACT was made which there was......so I guess I'm flipping back to my secondary thoughts on the play.

Either way it is pretty shnitty to have such a crucial (and right, I think) flag picked up.

Agree, they have the horses to pressure Brady and the recievers who Revis has had issues with (speed guys). If they don't go up there and turn the ball over I like their chances.

i definitely agree, i think the ravens can do it and im almost leaning towards them doing it.

as for face guarding, i dont know but 9/10 it seems its called PI even if no contact was ever made.

The only contact from the defender was shoving Pettigrew's hand off his face mask. Should of been illegal hands to the face against DET, if anything. Good call, poor presentation.

There were a lot of missed calls both ways yesterday. Regardless the reason Detroit lost was due to scoring 6 total points in the second half while giving up 17.

Contact was made and it should've been a flag. At the minimum it was defensive holding before the pass was thrown.

Based on what Cam Newton was wearing after the game, his sexuality is now listed as questionable.

... at Rivera's house where his electric Panther's blanket overheated and caught fire. Sick was reportedly, and understandably, distraught afterwards. He was quoted as saying "Being wrapped in that blanket was like basking in the warmth of Cam Newton's smile."

You're joking? The defender didn't touch Pettigrew. Pettigrew grabbed his facemask and the defender knocked his arm away from his facemask.

Cameralady happens to be a very hot cheerleader named Brittney Schram. No men allowed in that locker room.

Cause he was grabbing his Facemask. That's not PI. That would be holding. It was a good no call. He didn't interfere with the ability of the TE to make the catch.

You quoted and bolded my post that said it was defensive holding before the pass was thrown.

Your comment of no contact was wrong.

You're right. My bad. I thought you said PI. And you were right. He did grab him. I still think a no call was the right call. There was equal jousting and not turning his head around was the result of illegal hands to the face, if anything.

The Pats should be punting in a few seconds here. That was clearly not a catch. Under review.

No idea how that damned ref even thought that was a catch to begin with. Ball clearly touched the ground and rolled up into the receiver. Bunch of BS from the start.

Right hand comes off the ball and he traps the ball against the ground with the left hand. Good call by the ref. I don't see how Collinsworth and Michaels thought that was close.

At least the guy had the sense to reverse it. You're right about the original call, though.

This is why people always accuse the refs of being biased for the pats. Especially in NE.

14-0 with a UDFA at left tackle. Running well to the left. Protecting well on the left.

Nice recovery by Smith in the end zone on the bobble.
