Gilbert can give Lebron 50 million per year if he wants when 2016 is here, Arison is not going to do that...

I wonder if Arison and Riley would even entertain taking LeBron back. The way he left wasn't exactly helpful to the Heat.

I don't want LeBron back. I can't deal with wondering if he's staying or leaving every offseason. Let some other team deal with the drama that comes from having LeBron on your team. We had a nice run with him but I'd rather go back to basic Heat basketball.

I said it when he left, but it bears repeating. Lebron leaving Miami was a poor basketball decision. He gave up a chance to be in the conversation with Jordan for GOAT by the end of his career. He'll end up being known as the greatest Cleveland basketball player ever and he certainly gets to be in charge and hang with his posse. Perhaps that trade-off works for him, but in terms of his NBA legacy it was a poor trade.

LeBron James isn't a basketball player in his mind, he is basketball. So if the Cavs want to play basketball, they're going have to go through him to do it.

I'm as much of a "get paid" guy as the next but holy hell. Apparently LBJ and Rich Paul has convinced Tristan Thompson that he's worth at least as much as Eric Bledsoe.

These youtube highlights of Hassan Whiteside seem to just get better and better with each passing game.

But let's not start him though, that would indicate we're throwing the towel for the season.

So the Heat are apparently interested in Brook Lopez?

Can never have too much big men I suppose. But he's always injured. We need more PG/SG help than anything.

Didnt think we would stand a chance especially with Wade out... We really need to look into a back up shooting guard...

Not at all, and if he still wore #6 for Miami I would have about 20 posters having my back. He does everything well...he's as multi dimensional as anyone who has ever played. And he's not finished.

I dont care if the whole world had your back, theyd still be wrong. He does everything well except play big at the biggest moments. You cant be the GOAT when you cant hit big shots. When you need Ray Allen to bail you out vs SAS, when you cant hit the shots vs Dallas etc. His ego is also multi-dimensional by the way :crapstrom:

You can't factor in ego, the best player of all time had an even bigger one. And to me he disproved the clutch argument a few years ago....I was his biggest naysayer, and even I came around.

Jordan backed it up. He was allowed to have the biggest ego when no one can check you. When you cross up Byron Russell with a 101 fever in G6 and make that shot, thats part of what decides who the GOAT is. Dont ever compare Lebron to Jordan. I hated Jordan but Id kill to have him on the Knicks. Lebron...Im happy he went elsewhere.

I would take prime Kobe, prime Wade, Duncan without a doubt...probably Dirk and KD....

Jordan may have had an ego but I'll tell you one thing, he was not a bad teammate and he didn't disrespect his coach. When you look at the link I posted on this thread, that is cancerous behavior. Lebron needs to get his ego on check and start buying into Blatt because so far, Lebron doing what Lebron wants, has resulted them in a disappointing season and losing season, so you might as well try out what Blatt says.

So, Whiteside started, and the Warriors gameplanned for him. How'd that work out?

Warriors are a good team. It takes time. We would've lost even if he didn't start

Good to see you're mocking your earlier position.

We don't match up well with GS. Whiteside starting is a project worth exploring. Unless you think we should just stay the course we were on with Birdman starting and wearing out by the 2nd Half. Not to mention IT WAS JUST ONE GAME. For christs sake.

He had 15, 10 and 3 and didn't play the 4th as Spo went small to try and make a comeback.

He also played great defense against Bogut

It went very well. We're just not good enough to beat GS, especially with Wade out

Whiteside is a starting 5 in this league. I'm pretty convinced

He keeps having good games.. I think he's a lock at 10 rebounds per game minimum, his rebounding technique is on point, goes up high with both hands up, has great elevation, does not get pushed around, is usually the tallest player on the court.

The offensive side is still unknown but as I said if we can get 12-14 ppg with 12 rebounds and 2 blocks... in the era of small ball ... we got ourselves a damn good center and a size advantage over most teams in the NBA with Bosh Deng and Whiteside..

He would have had more if we had guards who knew how to dish it to him like Wade knows how to do.

    Are you nuts???

Jordan was a TERRIBLE teammate. He would literally fight his teammates in practice. He's a complete jerk to everyone. Now, you can write it off cause everything he did was in pursuit of winning. But Jordan was nowhere near the teammate Lebron is, in and off the court.
