This has nothing to do with having a bad game. This is what happens when the defense isn't elite and the running game is neutralized.

 

DJ, if that was Tannehill out there today, I can only imagine what you'd be saying. You certainly wouldn't be defending him.

The Seahawks defense has provided Wilson with the defense allowing the fewest points two years in a row. For basically the second half of the season this year, they allowed an average of EIGHT points a game. Don't tell me Tannehill wouldn't be in the playoffs with that defense.

Why is everyone hammering Deej? Wilson is having a bad game so far, but he can certainly come back in the second half. DJ likes Wilson alot, but no need to group rape the guy cuz his favorite player is struggling at the moment.

 

Quite honestly...so many here trash Tannehill while propping up Wilson. I think it's only reasonable that they come to this thread for an ounce of accountability. It's only fair.

Because this thread was started bashing Tannehill after the season he had, while Wilson has been pointed to all season as the type of QB Tannehill should be. All season , people have pointed out that Wilson is supported by an awesome team, which Tannehill is not, and we were mocked for not thinking that Wilson was the next Montana.

 

No offense Deej.. But Wilson is getting his *** handed to him atm. Will be a good test to see how he responds in the second half. The true mark of a Champion is how they respond to adversity. I fully expect him to come out hot in second half.

Finally, we get to see what Wilson looks like when he's being asked to carry the offense with his arm. It's ugly and it's probably gonna get even uglier if GB doesn't turn it over four more times. The amazing part is that it's only 16-0. That's how good Seattle is.

 

Defenses do not carry NFL teams. The league has actively made the game center around QBs.

Have you read this thread? This thread exists because DJ wrote his opinion. DJ has also been vocal all season that Tannehill needs to be more like Wilson. I'm not saying purple should attack DJ, but this outing by Wilson is quite telling. Right now, it's validating all the stuff Tannehill supporters have been saying.

And DJ takes his fair share of personal shots at posters...

 

So many people don't realize how much easier a QB's job is when there's always the threat of the run and the defense never puts you in extremely negative situations.

This has been the first time we've seen Wilson in this very situation and he's responded by looking every bit a Ryan Lindlay.
