As soon as I get home from work I will be active later tonight for those who have PMed me. The Saints are the perfect challenge. Moves will be made.
Handshake agreements are always apart of the league, it's just tremendously bad etiquette to agree to a deal then get a better offer and decline. I'm shopping the #2 pick as we speak and have one really fair offer, but I want to explore my options thus I haven't "agreed" to anything.
I know you guys are all antsy to get going but it's really really STUPID to enter into any trade negotiations this early. A, salaries aren't up... B, team pages aren't up... maybe a couple of you already THINK you know what your salaries are. But I just don't understand entering the trade market on a player right now without all the shoppers paying attention. Why sell low? EDIT... guess I'm back to telling it like it is
I recommend against talking trades now. What you see on OTC for rosters now is not final. The reason why the release date is mid February is to allow certain voidable contracts to expire. I'll have a coaching thread up tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully this will keep you all preoccupied.
When CC played at Ohio State I was just a pup. DB ruined his career due to his obsession with bodybuilding. Make no mistake though, his ability was on a different level.
So I assumed guys were saying they had guys they were willing to trade just to get people thinking, not that trade talks were really happening.
