It's alright. I got interested parties in 2 of the 3 I posted. That will tide me over the next few days hashing it out
I was actually kidding. But IF I would've had an offer and you wanted to "beat it" I'd say sorry son but I that fella isn't available.
Yup. Same. Hell I proved it with that horrible Bradford trade with you last year. I wanted to back out of that one but a deal was a deal.
And the Commish hath spoken. Good move... although the polizei can't stop the black market... can't stop it... but might be able to monitor it...
Not understanding the point of taking down the team page placeholders. They have nothing to do with trading. I'd like top have my page set up so I can plug and play when it's time. I understand the trade blocks.
well... I'd encourage all of you to have a word document formatted in the same code as your team page. Simply, start typing your team page, how you want it formatted, etc etc, in a reply to this thread (as an example) and then preview the post, don't actually post it... then copy and paste the text (including all the "B][/B" or whatever) and you've got it saved on your computer in case anything should happen to it in the future. I do this with my end of year writeups just in case something happens to my browser.
Because people get ahead of themselves and will use outdated rosters. Not suggesting that you would, but just speaking in general. There is nothing stopping you from putting together your base team page in Notepad or something offline. It's a way to avoid future complications. If the Detroit Lions posted their team page now, they would list Ndamukong Suh on their roster. His contract voids 5 days after the Super Bowl. Let's say the Lions GM had a trade agreed to but just assumed his roster was up to date since his team page was posted earlier... Do you see where I'm going with this? I understand it's not a popular decision, but hopefully people understand why this is my decision. I'm just trying to avoid potential complications when there is no real benefit to unofficially getting things started. You all have PLENTY of time to discuss trades/focus on team page formatting after rosters are released.
Not sure anyone REALLY cares... But we have to capitalize on the oppurtunity to make fun of you for going that far, DUH.
additionally the team pages aren't supposed to have much commentary in them; they're supposed to be more for actual rosters, trades, cuts, signings, picks etc
Me too. I'm surprised there is this much whining, considering the pages I looked at took like 20 seconds worth of effort.
I'm actually fine with that but people are still going to have trade agreements in place. Which is really annoying because every year I see players that weren't on trade blocks get shipped day 1 and its like "Well would have been nice to know that guy was available." but such is life.
Pshh we see that all throughout the year! I saw a few trades that made me stare at the screen dumbfounded.
Yeah. I can only prevent so much. The only way to fully prevent it is to release rosters and teams on the same day. That solution doesn't really work this year.
It's a problem that really you can't fix. You just have to blame, Van, Todd, and Boik because those mfers already have a blue print what their team is going to look like. I know Todd has already ran a sim on this league at least 20 times by now.
February is the second month.... 2 + 1 + 1 is 4.... The last number of his screen name.... Jesus, get with the program already Todd
