Nobody said to stop looking, just not looking to trade a good one when we have nobody to replace him.
I think you are getting a little carried away here. The time wasting is more in reference to wasting time trying to figure out what RT's trade value is when it makes no sense to trade him to begin with. Not the actual reading of the threads. In Summary, lets not trade Tannehill or even think about what his trade value might be. He's our guy. Lets focus on how we need to continue to build around him.
I want a QB that is good enough to win us games, we don't have that. I don't want a QB that "doesn't suck". I'll pass on mediocrity. I don't get why Dolphins fans love this guy. Listen to any national show, or local show that is not the phins. They all think Tannehill is average at best.
How can you say Tannehill is not accurate? He was off on his accuracy the first game or two of the season. Because he has issues with the deep ball, does not make him in accurate.
He is inaccurate. Only reason he looks accurate is because all miami attempts his short passes because of tannehills shortcomings
Most of the idiot's on national or local radio shows don't know their *** from a hole in the ground either when it comes to football. Try listening to the guys on Sirius NFL radio, guys that have played in the league host those shows, guys that were GM's host those shows, guys who cover the league and know football host those shows. Never have any of them said he's average at best. Hell, Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan were just on with Tannehill the other day, and after his spot was over they were talking about how he was one of the most improved QB's in the league, and he should continue to improve, and how we're finally set at QB. Rich Gannon... you know him right? Another former QB... also has done nothing by praise Ryan Tannehill this year. He's of course still said he has to keep improving because he's young, but anyone and every one that's worth listening to, because they have a clue what they're talking about knows that QB wasn't the problem for this team this year, and likely isn't going forward either. So you keep listening to your local sports radio guys, who likely were not good enough to even play college ball, but because they're on the radio now they think they're relevant, and theyve got a platform to spew their own useless and usually factless opinions. Listen to, and read stuff from credible sources, not idiots on radio programs who are only there to get their listeners fired up and say controversial things so people will listen.
Very well put, and those "experts" just look at the final record and see mediocrity and the easiest thing to do is blame the QB. I`m sure those idiots dont even watch the Dolphins games to fully evaluate WHY were 8-8. If they did it would be obvious that it wasnt Tannehills fault we missed the playoffs. I`ve learned to take it where it comes from long time ago.
Sorry you can't handle the truth. QB's are very accurate with short throws. That's all tannehill throws..... so of course his accuracy #'s look good. Because Miami never has him throw deep, because he can't. Sorry simple logic escapes you.
We are 8-8 becuase Tannehill is average, and constantly puts the defense in poor spots, or leaves them on the field all game long (greenbay)
The Green Bay game. We had almost identical yardage numbers. We had more ints. The fact of that game is Philbin screwed us over. We had the win. Philbin managed to reverse that. I'm not sure you watched the game.
Ryan stinks! At least that is what they are saying in Phoenix this week. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/1/30/7949205/super-bowl-2015-ryan-tannehill-dolphins
thanks for proving you are the least knowledgeable football fan on the forum. That's pretty significant considering some of the guys we've been stuck with. Not sure even LBF would make that statement. Yes, Tannehill to Wallace is not working deep. but saying he puts the defense in poor spots means you either haven't watched the games or you have no clue to what is going on. Tannehill moves the ball down the field with ease - highlighted by the fact that he had the least # of 3-and-outs in the league this year (or at least near top in the category). You know who put our defense in tough spots? the crappy defense.
I used to argue with some guys on another forum, about a similar idea, in regards to Tom Brady. They used to try to diminish his accomplishments because he ran "dink and dunk." My answer is simple: if it's SO EASY to throw accurate, short passes, why doesn't EVERYONE do it? Frankly, I don't think it's really all that easy to throw accurate passes to guys running routes at 10 yards. They're running full speed, and you have to throw passes in there with velocity. The margin for error is not very large. Some QBs are accurate short, some are accurate medium, and some are accurate long. Some are accurate on short and medium, some medium and long, you get the point. Just because Tannehill is not Big Ben accurate on deep throws is meaningless. I seriously believe that Marino is both the greatest and worst thing to ever happen to our franchise. He was the greatest, as he was awesome to watch, and he is what drew me into watching football. However, he is the worst, because every single QB we will have post-Marino, will be compared to him, and every flaw they have will be scrutinized against our memory of Marino. The truth is, Marino was Marino. I loved watching Marino do what Marino did. However, I do not ever expect that we will have Marino again. Stop comparing Tannehill to Marino, and appreciate what Tannehill can do. Sit back, and enjoy watching Tannehill hone his craft, and continue to get better. Get some help from the oline and the defense, and this team will start making the playoffs, and everyone will stop complaining about every little thing to do with Tannehill. At this point, Tannehill could go 29-30, for 350 yards 5 tds 1 int, and the team could lose 38-35, and people would blame Tannehill for the loss, since he threw a pick. It's absurd.
Didn't read the last 9 pages, just going to jump in and say I heard some of his Super Bowl radio interviews and the kid always knows what to say, looks confident and natural. I think the 3 years of progression is a reason for optimism. He was considered "raw" at the 8th pick. As it currently stands, their is no better option any way. I also at one point was a big Henne guy. [h=1][/h]
Got a laugh out of this... Maybe he's looking for inspiration. Tannehill's a resilient SOB himself...
It's a shame people are entitled to their opinions. Some opinions are just way too stupid to be allowed. Pitiful.
The worst part is that when Tannehill is great next year, these guys will be backpedaling like crazy. I hope we don't let them off that easy. I can't respect blind hate.
The poster above has painted a picture that is simply not accurate.. I see no reason why ryan shouldn't improve next year.
There is nothing in the Tos against negativity or ignorance other than disrupting the forum .However we take a dim view of those who get personal with other members and there are several here who are doing that in this thread who will have to find another Mb .....soon .sent from my cel
