We need that one tall receiver who can fight for a ball. What's amazing is neither team has spent any money on wrs. These are the cheapest wr units in the nfl.
But the Patriots' receivers' abilities fit with the style of offense they're running (short passing game) and Tom Brady's primary strength (accuracy), whereas the Dolphins are running a similar offense with a similar quarterback, but with the wrong kinds of receivers (very little YAC ability other than Landry).
No matter who wins today, I just got a lot more respect for the Seahawks organization. It is being reported on The MSN web page that the Seahawks have offered Lynch a huge pay increase starting next season in an attempt to sign him to a new contract. The Seahawks obviously understand that it is about how you perform on the field and not how you behave in the media or how you celebrate after a TD which is important in having the best team possible. A player like Lynch would never be accepted by Philbin on the team because he doesn't meet Philbin's basic criteria for a player on the Dolphins. That being a player with good character and mediocre playing ability and a willingness to pick up garbage on the practice field. The Dolphins need more players like Lynch and less of the church going type players who seem to think they will offend the opposing teams players if they hit them too hard.
I don't care if you believe in jesus or not but I agree we need a coach who covets talent over character. Giving up vontae, dansby and marshall kiled us and hurt morale in the lockerroom
I really blame the owner for the problems with this team. He is the person who hired Philbin and he is the person responsible for retaining Philbin after another season in which the Dolphins once again failed to have a winning season. He obviously likes Philbin and agrees with his view that character is more important than talent. Ross being the owner is the reason I don't have a lot of faith in this organization going forward. I wake up every morning hoping I will read on the Internet that Ross has sold the Dolphins. Unfortunately, so far every day has been the same nightmare and Ross remains the clueless owner of this organization.
Or it's not raining... you guys are reaching.. 20/27, 177 yards, 2 TD's, on short and long passes. Uh pretty sure he's great at what ever PSI. By the way, those numbers are pretty good for a full game. That's just a half.
Joe Philbin's head exploded on that Pete Carroll call. Hell....forget queasy....Philbin might have full blown Crohn's Disease after watching that play.
