You have to be completely lost to actually believe this. If they wanted Wilson to be the hero instead of Lynch, they wouldn't have handed the ball to Lynch on 1st and goal. This conspiracy makes zero sense.

What was it, 35 or so seconds left, 2nd down with a timeout to spare and down four points?

You are probably throwing it once, if not twice, on the next three tries.

They called a high percentage play (there have been ZERO interceptions on passes from the one yard line this season) thinking it would either be a TD or an incomplete pass.

If it was the latter, you can run on 3rd down. And use your timeout before the 4th down. If you reversed the order (run and then pass), you burn the timeout before 3rd down and have to script two plays.

It just happened that the play was defended perfectly. It was a timing pattern that doesn't involve much thinking, and it was a pretty good throw. The defender was just nowhere in sight when Russell passed. Plus, the dude is a rookie, you want to pick on him. That play is probably going to be a TD 80% of the time.

I really don't know why people think that three plays can't be run in like 30 seconds with one time out considering they were on the one yard line.

    I keep seeing that excuse.

Run once, hurry up, run again... Call TO. They could do that easily.
