http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...e-units-late-season-slide-20150202-story.html says odrick and Grimes. not sure who to be pissed at... coach has to know his team, and team needs to understand they haven't ever accomplished anything as a team.. we don't hit in pads during the year, these freakin dudes have it made man..
Was rather obvious, add in the offensive line also began to crack when Albert went out and Colledge was injured
I'm still not sure that the reason is clear. The defense went from being top tier going into Denver, to being awful the rest of the season. Yes, a few players were lost, but that doesn't account for the HUGE change. It seems that Denver figured something out in Coyle's scheme that the rest of the teams were able to exploit, and it killed us. I don't know that that is, but it leads me to believe that the scheme is broken, and bringing Colyle back is madness.
Yes what they need is the old two a days with Shoes and maybe they can get conditioned properly but since we cannot do that...get rid of the dam practice bubble.
I dont know....I guess I have a hard time buying this. Ive played organized sports my entire life, why would when you practice during the week make you so exhausted your performance basically falls off a cliff? They didnt add a day of practice...they just moved one of the days. There wasnt any extra type of physical activity. The team fell on its ***, because of this: "So, I asked, isn't easier to be mentally tough when things are going well and you're on a winning program? Wouldn't it be tougher for those same "mentally tough" Patriots to plow through if they were on a floundering team like the Dolphins? "You must not of known about how we started the year," this Patriot said. "We [were] not a good team then. The Dolphins kicked our behinds. The Chiefs kicked our behinds. But we put our nose to the grind. We put our heads down. We worked. We focused on what we had to do to make it right. Nobody was happy. Nobody. But nobody complained. We worked. We didn't blame coaches. We didn't blame each other. We didn't say [expletive]. Every man did his job." Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...-a-sign-of-mental-weakness.html#storylink=cpy We dont have the atmosphere that creates mentally tough players. Now..whos fault is that?
That's a pretty insightful post from that Patriots player. But we all know, the Patriots won because they cheated, not because they worked hard. EL OH EL.
I call shenanigans. Practices are way easier now then they ever have been. As VT pointed out, nothing was added. I think the Bubble should be kept but ONLY used for practices when there's lightning, that way at least they don't lose a day.
I agree and would add that the previous years practice schedule was considered atypical and this past years was the league norm yet the results were the same.
This reminds me of the Wannstadt/Johnson days when after the defense choked in big situations you'd hear players complaining about camp being too hard. Then the next year they eased off the gas petal and basically got the same results. All this while Don Shula used to hold 3 a-days at times. All this while the 72' Dolphins season began with Larry Little doing a sprint down the field between the 3rd and 4th quarters in blistering hot Kansas City and ended with the NFL's only unbeaten and untied season.
Amazing. Remember when Johnny Manziel would of helped us more than Tannehill with bringing in quality FAs?
