http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fa...ort-ndamukong-suh-wants-to-sign-with-seahawks I think we all should go ahead and stop wasting our time hoping we land this guy, the good news is that IF this happens he is as far away from Miami as possible.
As far as Seahawks go, they should be looking to spend in the WR department, as the weapons they have are hands down worst group in the league. As far as Suh goes, he will see better offers elsewhere, if he feels like signing a modest contract, sure, go for it. I can't see Seattle paying out a huge contract when they have to take care of Wagner, Thomas, Chancellor, Sherman, Wilson, Lynch who are all just about the best at their positions.
It would be great to have him, he likely would be worth the money imo. But this organization is the Pits for FA's of late.
I agree Wilson needs some weapons for a change, I'm sure that is the team that drafts DGB, just because life isn't fair.
You dont have to worry about him going there anyways. After Lynch and Wilson extensions, theyre not going to have money to spend and will continue fielding guys out of Foot Locker at the receiver position for Wilson.
They already offered Lynch a contract and a raise Then they are going to pay Wilson. If they are smart they are also going to pay Bobby Wagner They already paid Bennet and Avril If Suh wants to be a Seahawk, he is going to have to get paid a lot less money.
haha Im not gonna hate on a guy who wants to get a ring. Money is the only reason anyone would want to come here right now. Even worse that we have a coach on the hot seat. Unfortunately, I see this as a lame duck year. Just hope Hickey can make the best of the roster.
The Seahawks would have a world of trouble paying Suh and Wilson, and having any semblance of an above-average level of talent overall, among the rest of its roster. You can't have everything in a league with a salary cap.
Lynch might be gone by the words he tweeted the other day,but who knows for sure. That leaves Wilson to be signed, which will cost them a lot. Will Suh come cheap for them? What about their Cap situation besides the ones I mentioned? Will the D be as dominate without Quinn calling the plays? Seattle will have big decisions coming soon.
Honestly, I sure as hell hope not. Philbin has sort of grown on me a bit, kind of like that wart on my thumb that hindered my golf game, but have now gotten use to. But in all seriousness, I just want a playoff win. That keeps this offense intact for at least a year more, and maybe, maybe, the Dolphins are talking a deep playoff run the next year. Btw, I kid about the wart on my thumb. It's on my testicle.....and it hinders more than just my golf game.....
He wants to play for a team with a legitimate chance of winning a SB. He is 28 years old and playing in the Super Bowl is obviously becoming more important to him as he gets older and realizes that he may not have many years left to reach that goal. Wanting to play for a legitimate SB contending team is the reason top players like Suh don't have any interest in coming to Miami. Years of mediocrity might be able to entice players who are only looking to sign a big contract which no one else is offering them. It just won't entice players who have plenty of other offers, especially when some of those offers are from teams which actually have a chance of making it to the Super Bowl in the foreseeable future.
Eventually warts need to be removed because they become an issue and get in the way. That is the type of wart Philbin has become. The sooner he is removed, the sooner this organization can hopefully start the rebuilding process to a better future.
I haven't read anywhere that Suh wanted to play for the Seahawks because he is from Portland. The fact is that he turned down Oregon State and instead picked Nebraska to play college football. So unless being within several hours driving distance to Portland has now become important to him, perhaps he just wants to play for a quality football team with a legitimate chance to win a SB. It's unlikely Seattle will have the money under the cap to pay him. So I suspect he will end up staying with the Lions or signing with another team who has the talent to be a SB contender in 2015. Personally I think the Colts would be the perfect team for him to sign with. They have plenty of cap room. They have the best young QB in the entire league and with the addition of Suh, their defense would take a giant leap forward. As for the Dolphins. I have no doubt they will use far too much of their cap money to resign a very mediocre Odrick to a new contract.
It is all they are talking about in the local radio stations. Seattle doesn't have plenty of cap room.
