Jesus, Brees went for more than I expected considering his cap #.

Well it works when a team has the caproom.

Clearly most will feel NO won the trade because Brees could be on the backside of his career, though could he still be enough to win a SB with AJ Green (if Healthy). Bengals still have Jeremy Hill, so the lost of Bernard isn't too bad. Could Manu be a number 1? The second rounder helps (yes I like picks).

I don't disagree, I don't think it is a bad trade for either side. I just wasn't expecting him to go for that much.

If there was anyone who'd get the most it'd be Brees or Brady as older vets. Of course I could only imagine what a Rodgers would bring in now.

Agreed, the Bengals are certainly in win now mode.

Release coming, but we had young starters at RB, CB and WR. Basically gave up our second-best assets at those respective positions for a Top-5 QB (No. 2 in PFF) to pair with Hill and A.J. Green, and are putting him behind a fantastic OL. Plus Brees has proven he can win the big game, which helps :)

Way I saw it from my perspective, I gave up a 36 year old QB who had a high cap number. Trading Brees almost solved my cap problem with one player. Down side is, I need to find a new QB lol

Against another high priced QB that has trouble winning the big game (other then one time). I kid, I kid, good deal for both at the moment. Though Jay Cutler deal isn't as dramatic after the Brees deal.

The Jay Cutler trade wasn't earth-shattering, but I believe we both got what we wanted. He got a QB, and I helped out my LB position. Good deal

I'm the new Co-GM for the Cardinals boys and girls. 77Finfan is still the actual GM and has the final decision in every move, but feel free to contact me as well regarding trades. I'll listen to all offers, but remember 77Finfan has the final say in anything so if he is set in stone on not moving a player for that price, please don't run to me and try to make that trade lol.

Again though, I'll listen to all offers so start messaging me.
