Schisno's Useless Numbers - Drafting QBs

Did you know since the 2010 season 49 GMs have drafted a QB.

32 of those GMs have only ever drafted 1 QB, while 17 GMs have taken 2 or more QBs.

    6 GMs - SICK, PeaTearGriffin, Mach, alen1, Paul13, Fin-Omenal have each taken 2 QBs.

4 GMs - Skeet84, Skull Destroyer, BuckeyeKing, Nappy Roots have each taken 3 QBs.

3 GMs - schisno, Sports24/7, Vengeful Odin have each taken 4 QBs.

2 GMs - JMHPhin and PSG have each taken 5 QBs.

2 GMs - Sean and Silverphin have each taken 6 QBs.
--- Though it should be noted Silverphin drafted Armanti Edwards as both a QB and WR
--- Sean is the only GM to draft 3 QBs in a draft (2012)
--- Both Sean and Silverphin are the only GMs to draft multiple QBs in the same drafts multiple times
--- Sean, Silverphin and Mach are the only GMs to draft multiple QBs in the same draft
--- Silverphin is the only GM to take 2 QBs in the 1st Round (Jimmy Clausen & Cam Newton), 2 QBs in the Top Ten (#9 & #3) and in back-to-back drafts (2010 & 2011)

PSG is the only GM to draft a QB every year since 2010
Paul13 only drafts QBs in the 3rd Round

    5s & 7s:
The scariest pattern found in this research? When PSG drafted a QB in the 5th round, Sports24/7 would draft a QB in the 7th round and vice versa...
    2014 - PSG (5th), Sports24/7 (7th)
    2013 - PSG (7th), Sports24/7 (5th)
    2012 - PSG (5th), Sports24/7 (7th)
    2011 - PSG (7th), Sports24/7 (5th)
    2010 - PSG (5th) --- Sports24/7 Did not draft (It would have been a 7th)

I can't remember ever drafting a qb in a GM League. If I did it's been at least 3 years I would think

You've never drafted a QB, unless you were a part of the FH era. I attribute that to the fact that you've only ever taken teams that have made the playoffs with especially solid quarterbacks. Pittsburgh (Big Ben), Indianapolis (Peyton), New York Giants (Eli) ect...

Other GMs to never draft a QB Todd, Van, B.Sebo,

I'm at $13 million and change under, but that's with my draft pick costs and all RFA/Franchise tags accounted for and room to cut some low end fat since I'm at 54 players. 60 at the moment with draft players. So I could probably chew a few more million off it.

I also wish Jerruh would get off his old *** and restructure Romo's contract already. It's going to happen...but hopefully before the cutoff date here.

It's not a head scratcher if you're trying to stash him away for a year, but I would have just swapped 6ths, or a 7th for a 6th but a fifth isn't a big lost.

    One thing I should add.

GJ Kinne was also listed as a FB/TE, because, for some reason, I started to have thing for taking Tulsa products and turning them into H-Backs.

@Jason LaCanGlazer GM of Packer land has told me in no uncertain terms that Jordy Nelson is on the block.

@Jason LaCanGlazer their GM "We're listening to offers for everyone and people know how to contact us. All players have their value and price. Given the state of..

@Jason LaCanGlazer ..free agency and the fact that several top name receivers have already been tagged, essentially taken off the market...

@Jason LaCanGlazer ... we'll certainly listen to anyone looking to upgrade their receiver core. one team has made a valid offer already for one of our receivers...

@Jason LaCanGlazer ... so Jason I'm going to use you as a puppet to get the word out"

Ted Ginn and Rashad Johnson in my bargain bin. Basically the best pick offered within the next few days will get either of them. And no, I more than likely won't be cutting either one cause Johnson is still my starting safety and I don't want to cover the dead space in Ginn's contract.

Schisno's Useless Numbers - Drafting WRs

Out of a possible 160 players selected in the first round since 2010, only 22 have been Wide Receivers, possibly debunking the myth that receivers are overvalued in the GML.

Did you know since 2010 that 58 GMs have selected a WR in the draft.

Out of these 58 GMs, 21 of them have only ever drafted 1 WR including the likes of VanDolPhan, Finfangirl, B.Sebo and Finbuck719.

13 GMs (305, Biggtyme13, Duss, GridIronKing34, Ophinerated, RickyBobby, RPG Giants, SICK, Skull Destroyer, Teflon John, that’s what she said, Toddphin, wakeupitsfootball) have selected two receivers.

6 GMs (BuckeyeKing, PeaTearGriffin, PSG, The Rev, Sports24/7, Wyld Colts) have selected 3 receivers.

10 GMs (adamprez2003, alen1, JMPhin, Mach, Paul13, Saint Greg, schisno, Stringer Bell, Tractor Traylor, UCFinfan86) have selected 4 receivers.

4 GMs (Nappy Roots, Skeet84, Stitches, Vengeful Odin) have selected 5 receivers.

Fin-Omenal is the only GM to have selected a total of 6 wide receivers, while Boik14 and Silverphins have selected 7 each.

Who is the GM that has selected the most wide receivers? That would be Sean with a whopping 8 receivers. He's selected two or more receivers in three drafts and just one in the 2014 draft.

-- Paul13 has made the most selections in the first round for receivers, one each from 2012-2014
-- adamprez2003 has the second most with two selections, however they were both in the same draft (2011: #11 Julio Jones and #22 Jonathan Baldwin)
-- Paul 13 is the only GM to select a WR #1 Overall with Sammy Watkins in the 2014 draft
-- Ophinerated has the next highest selection with Tavon Austin at #2 in the 2013 draft

-- A receiver has been taken in the top five in every draft since 2010
-- From 2012-2014 two receivers have been taken in the top ten; Justin Blackmon and Michael Floyd (2012), Tavon Austin and Cordarelle Patterson (2013), Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans (2014)

Didn't someone like Paul collect all but 1 from FH? I forget someone posted the GML history a couple years ago.

They were all deleted by FH, everything 2009 and earlier is gone. People just throw up their own team stuff if they have it from that far back, but go ahead and celebrate my 10 year anniversary of taking over a team, and being in the GML.

All I remember is that in 08 or 06...forget which, Josh Johnson was my starting QB. I'd say I improved.
