Yea, well good thing 70% of the work was done before I had to take sole possession.

Also, I would be shocked if I didn't get "worst in trades". It may not be worth anyone's time before the draft or FA.

After speed reading the last fifty posts this is what I learned...

wakeupitsfootball thinks 27 is young but 30 is old
stitches put Jimmy Graham on the block but he won't be trading him as he doesn't have time to make trades
boik and van are working on a trade
BK is happy Ellerbe is on his team
van wants to cut his kickers but will lose cap room in the process so he can't (I bet they are looking forward to playing for the Cowboys this year)
Todd would post if people would read his posts
Minnesota got the better of that last trade with Denver.. which made Alex defensive. Although he's still trying to trade Peyton Manning

(yes I realize #2 is incorrect Stitches, just the irony of it...)

... and I wonder why I don't win votes at the end of this...

    I love you all...

When you don't have a QB at all...your at the whim of any team that does have one.

I think Denver could win the Viking trade if Kalil gets back on track.

Van and I are not working on a deal. His deal is with someone else. And he won't deal or respond about the player I asked about. :).

Yep same way I feel about my Joekel trade in a way. I could have potentially one of the best or worst starting tackle duos easily.

Well his rookie year he was stellar and last year was his first full season coming off on an injury so I feel with a change of surroundings he can rebound.

I liked that deal for you. You got an ascending player for a declining one and shed 4M. Matt Kalil can play; that was some bs injury crap right there that messed up his ranking and stats. Not to say Minnesota did poorly but that's two teams going in completely different directions...one rebuilding and one going for it now.

Thanks. I also liked Yankey a lot last year. He needed to add strength but if he does I feel he will be a damn good player.

Ok I'm off for dinner. Top confirmed value for LG Ronald Leary is a mid 3rd......so unless I don't hear better tonight I'll be moving him.

    Thats a blockbuster...

IMO WR's in general get overvalued here so that fits right in. Tell ya one thing...Cincy has a sick set of wr's though. Them and ATL have the best set of wr's in the league.

I definitely feel that Kalil is better than he played last year but for me I wanted to secure my OL and make sure I give Teddy the best OL possible and this was a safer bet for me. With the addition of Pugh I feel my line is pretty damn good now Clady-Fusco-Sullivan-Pugh-Loadholt

Well now. That trade explains a PM I got earlier.

Anyways I'm still cooking food here. Apparently the trade market for Leary just blew right the hell up (like 9 PM's). I will get back to everyone a bit at a time here.....food more important ;p

Trade wasn't for the faint of heart and negotiations lasted for a couple days...but I think both the Bengals and Packers walked away happy. Green Bay has some really nice assets to work with going forward, but I'm sure Paul can talk more on that later.

For us, getting Jordy Nelson was one of the last puzzle pieces to a team trying to get over the hump. The last regime did an excellent job of getting the Bengals to this point, but we want to win a Super Bowl. With Jordy Nelson (20.5 PFF grade, 98 catches, 1,519 receiving yards) and AJ Green (8.3 PFF grade, 68 catches, 1,041 yards), we have the best WR duo in the NFL. Add in dynamic slot WR Andrew Hawkins (11.5 PFF grade, 824 receiving yards) and it's hard to fathom anyone consistently stopping this passing game, especially with Drew Brees (2nd best PFF grade last year despite depleted supporting cast) guiding the offense.

Factor in that we have the nucleus of an elite offensive line and stud RB Jeremy Hill (1,124 rushing yards, 9 TDs as a rookie), and we believe we have all the makings of a true title contender for the next several years. We also feel that our defense is getting better and younger as well.

Pleasure doing business with you man.. and thanks for hanging in there this weekend. :wink2: Nelson was a big target for Rodgers but IMO, when you have a quarterback like Rodgers, sometimes the quarterback makes the receiver better than he really is. That's not a slight on Jordy. He has earned his keep, finally getting into the pro bowl this season. We're quite happy with the return on the investment. For now our wide receiver group is Stedman Bailey, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis and Jared Abbrederis. Those last two guys are maybe unknowns to some of you, but they are very prototypical Packer receivers. Abbrederis has been compared to Nelson.

We add Tyler Eifert to the tight end group and feel that both he and Bailey will make our offense even better. Add in four of the top 62 picks to the mix and we can certainly do some things in the draft to address both sides of the ball.
