I love Hassan Whiteside. Such a feel-good story even if the Heat lose a lot, lol.

What.....you don't think they got a good deal when we gave them Kevin Martin for 1 year and some scrub for James Harden?

There's a great quote by Dwyane Wade about the emergence of Hassan Whiteside. He said:

"It's like when I grew up in the hood and we had Christmas one year, waking up like, 'We got Christmas?!'"

I think Wade would have a decent career as a studio analyst when he's done with basketball, if he wants it. He may just do his fashion stuff full time.

I think he's interested in television actually. Wasn't he about to produce a show that's basically about his life raising his kids?

Yay, Bosh/Wilkins/Cash win the shooting challenge for three straight years. Good job by Wilkins hitting the half court shot and proving Barkley wrong.

Barkley being proven wrong happens about as often as Broussard's sources these days.

I watched some highlights of LaVine yesterday, Kenny Smith has got to be the most annoying person on the entire event. And Reggie too. They need to put the all star game on ESPN/ABC and get away from the TNT crew. Goodness, glad I didn't tune in yesterday. He makes you want to cut your ears off.

They need to stop this business of having the entire telecast broadcast over the public address in the arena. Highly annoying and they never stop talking. Ugh

Someone needs to go back to remedial math (not sure if it is Kenny or Reggie), because they don't know the difference between 360 degrees of rotation and 540 degrees.

Im watchingg Billups do commentary on ESPN before the all star game. If you put Kenny and Reggie's IQ together they still wont add up to Chauncey. Now there's a guy that is listenable.

Knicks have reportedly bought out amare according to Frank Isola. Dallas is supposedly the front runner for him while San Antonio and LAc are also interested

Chris Bosh has been playing with a rib injury for a while according to Ethan Skolnick. Thought he looked fatigued and generally out of gas the last few weeks, the injury explains it.

How much would Amare count against the cap if we place a bid? Forget letting him slide to the Mavericks... Everyone thought Boozer would clear waivers and the Lakers said nope.

On a buyout there's no auction. That's only for amnesty guys.

If you pick him up on waivers you pick up the rest of the contract.

Larry Sanders is working on a buyout with Milwaukee.

A major talent but something went really screwy there. He's still young and might be worth a reclamation project. Could also allow you to trade Bird.

I posted a link from somewhere that worked out a formula to come up with the most successful franchises in all of sports (IN THE WORLD).

They used the time of existence, success, and fan dedication to determine it...the Heat were somewhere in the top 6, and were the 3rd most successful franchise in the NBA since their inception.

CK, the Heat have only existed since 1988. it's ridiculous what they have accomplished. Competent leadership...huh?

In an ESPN article talking about the best fits for the top trade targets they mention Gerald Green and Isaiah Thomas for Deng. Where do I sign up for that? Section, is this something that the Heat are looking into, or is this pure speculation?

I think it does but not sure the Suns would get rid of that kind of depth for one player unless we include a pick.

That was driving me crazy, especially during the dunk contest. A lot of those take timing, and broadcasting over the arena would seem to be a distraction. And what Vertical Limit said about Kenny Smith, so true. He just would not shut up.

He makes it all about himself, he loves hearing himself speak, he's got the most annoying voice. Keep it simple.. I rather hear Mike Tirico orgasm over dunks like he did here at about 19 seconds in the video than Kenny Smith

Really? I think it makes the Heat better. Gives them a legitimate PG and a capable starter at the 3. And neither guy makes a ton of money either.
