I don't see why my Eagles couldn't have worked. There is no way Cooper would see the stats he saw in the past, but thats because he was thrusted into a starting role on a good offense when he is more of a complimentary piece. Witten was brought in for his all around game. Witten would have been utilized for his blocking. Up until last year Maclin had always been a #2 and he would have had a similar role. He would have been a 2A last year with Evans as 2B. Add in the fact that we were using Chips fast paced offense, we're we should have more plays than normal teams and no reason why I couldn't have had 3 1,000 yard WR (Just like Denver the past few years and they also had a damn good TE).
@Jason LaCanGlazer Aaron Rodgers and Dez Bryant were seen at Club XS over night having a good time... @Jason LaCanGlazer They took to the dance floor together, alone.. #QBWRlovefest
This is why I didn't even want to get into your team 86. I liked the way you did it. Just have to acknowledge everyone's numbers would be down because there is only 1 ball to go around. Gah...need....to....drop ...topic. Wasn't even my argument to start.
I'm just hear to create debates, after all I can be one of the most controversial figures around. I'm just using some of the moves you do as examples to create discussions about whats really overrated and whats not. That and I didn't pay much attention last year to what was suppose to be a joke and what wasn't. I'm also here to just throw out useless numbers and get people to subscribe for only $9.95 to my GML advance statistics.
Pretty much what I was thinking, having to look at it from last offseason's eyes. Riley had one good year, but could easily see the normal numbers from the previous years. He just reminded me of Andre Roberts who I believe was your 4B, with Riley as the 4A.
Hell I'm waiting for you and Sean to get together as Co-Gm's one year and finally make the all draft GML team.
Packer trade block remains the same, after Clay Matthews added.. I won't give him away... I understand there's a few guys in free agency that you may be interested in. So I'll hold onto Matthews until at least then. As I suspect their prices will become exorbitant and Matthews will look like a bargain... I'll be around periodically the next week or so FYI..... going to spend some of my evenings studying up on the draft. Go back and watch the Senior Bowl practices and game tape... then it's onto the combine.
Yup. Quirky side note. For the longest time folks thought that stood for "Kill m'fing Depeche Mode" because they were teasing english journalists who didn't know German. Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid is the name of the band loosely translated to "No pity for the majority".
this is why i like Riley cooper for the Jags this year. Mike Wallace Justin Blackmon Marquise Lee Riley Cooper Ace Sanders He fits a role i didnt have - He's big and physical with speed. He can run any route and he can do it well. Nice target for Blake. He can be a #2 - #4 receiver. EDIT: he also had mark sanchez and mike vick throwing to him this past year which could be the reason for his numbers decline
He only had Mark Sanchez and Nick Foles throwing to him in 2014. Yes, he did have Vick throwing to him in the first part of 2013 and his numbers then weren't very good, but once Foles got in there his numbers spiked but by the end of 2013 he was averaging something like 33 yards in the last 4 or 5 games. I wouldn't say it was Mark Sanchez per se, because you would have seen a drop in production for Maclin as well. There wasn't a whole lot of difference between Foles to Sanchez for Cooper, because he only broke 50 yards once and had under 10 yards under both Foles and Sanchez I believe. More or less Foles was outplayed by Jordan Matthews, particularly during the middle of the season. I think in a specific system he can be a number 2 guy every now and then, but he's more suited as a 4. You Dolphin fans no better than I do about Wallace, but with Blackmon as unreliable as he is off the field that unit could use a true #1.
Jesus.... No comment on the VJax trade. I wonder if Lavonte David wouldn't have been dealt this wouldn't have happened. 2nd rounders being given out like they are candy. I'll respect it and shut up.
I'm old school, notes written on napkins from dingy coffee shops sent out in manilla envelopes. Someone should just do a podcast, it's so much faster verbally spewing these numbers out then writing them.
yeah i went back and looked - he and sanchez had no chemistry at all - they even had a screaming fight against dallas. It appears in most of the film i watched, that Riley can run routes very effectively and he does have a good amount of speed. I dont think wallace is a #1, if blackmon can get his crap together, he can be. We're working on building for the future, cant turn the jags into a championship team overnight. I think if you look, we've made some nice upgrades.
Technically they have been... they turned a rookie GM into best GM that year, I'm holding you to that standard! Just kidding, yes there's some upgrades here and there and we both know you're not done yet so any comments I make will be as part of the conversation of specific players in question and not your full build until you get there. It's look like a good job so far. I think going forward when someone selects a team they should give out a mission statement so we know what their goals are and judge more accordingly. Yes everyone should be out to win a championship but seeing if a team can attain their mission might be a more reasonable goal to judge.
End of 4th round! I'll pair him with Lacy and just run the ball 85% of the game *cough* Oh wait.....no cap space.
i think that's a great idea. You know as well as i do on any given sunday any team can win. Im trying to get the jags into a position to be that team. Of course we want to win a championship, but, that's quite a lofty goal. I feel this way as a dolphin fan. I would love to win a championship, obviously the ultimate goal. But, as a fan, what i want to see is the team getting better and better each year. we all know how that's going. Thank you for your input though - it helps me become a better GM. I honestly feel like i have no idea what im doing sometimes. I have a vision, but getting there is a whole other conversation.
