Don't know until you try. I've been fishing for a MLB all night....came home with an OLB. Close enough.
I find if you want something...just be honest about it in this thread. People will come to you with ideas better then you can generally come up with.
Bengals are pleased to announce the acquisition of DT Clinton McDonald, who was made expendable by the Bucs because of their terrific twosome of McCoy and Atkins (seriously, good luck moving the ball on those two.) McDonald, 28, has combined for 10.5 sacks the past two seasons, giving our team quickness and an interior pass rush to compliment the power of one of the league's best young DTs Kawann Short (+18.2 PFF). These two should play off each other well and gives us what we believe to be one of the top interior units around. McDonald (+1.1 PFF in '14, +5.9 PFF in '13 w/ Seattle) has proven to be a consistent play maker and pretty durable (+600 snaps each of the past two years). What we like is that he got better as the year went on, grading out positively in five of his past six games, including 3 games with a 2.0 or better. That was in Lovie Smith's defense, which will have a lot of similar principles to what Marvin Lewis runs here, at least along the front. Sorry for rambling, we're just excited to get a solid starter at this point in the offseason. Is it time to bid on cut players yet?
There's a brewpub down by Wichita that sells it by the vintage in 1 ounce pours for around 10 to 20 bucks. If I remember right, I tried the '05, '07, and '09 vintages. Extreme is the first thing that comes to mind - it's not a Quad (like Rochefort) it's more like an American barleywine on steroids. Yeast and hop character is really muted. From my recollection the beer is really thick, sweet, and syrupy. Port or cognac would be a good comparison if you've had those other types of alcoholic beverages. They're something you sip on for sure - you can't drink more than a couple ounces of the stuff. However, the liquor stores (at least around here) have caught on to the craze and they retail for anywhere from $150 to $500 a bottle around here, which is absolutely ridiculous for any type of alcohol IMO.
Where do you think I've been for half my trades including my Telvin Smith one of today? My boss even knows I'm doing this
Oh Ive accomplished about half of my deals at work too. I was busy for about an hour or so consecutively yesterday and couldnt get to PM's
I have a LOT of free time on my hands at work. Doesn't pay well....but man it can't get any easier for no stress.
These guys can be had cheap for those looking to supplement depth on D before FA begins: DT Brandon Thompson $795,300 (-$130,300) -- 3rd rounder in 2012. 21 tackles as a reserve DT in 2014. OLB Sean Porter $692,325 (-$214,650) -- 4th rounder in 2013. Lots of potential here, but PT will be tough to find at OLB behind Lavonte David and Sio Moore. Please PM by the end of the day if interested. Or else these guys get the ax. You'd probably pay the same price for them (financially) in FA, maybe a little more. We're asking for mid-to-late picks or others players without significant dead money.
Also, Bengals happy to introduce Sio Moore at LB. Not overly concerned about off-season surgery on his hip, should be good to go by the preseason. Injuries slowed him last year but dude was a stud in '13, finishing with a PFF grade of +10.7. And he still finished with 90 tackles and 3 sacks this past season while playing in a scheme that doesn't suit him. In our 4-3, he is the ideal compliment to Lavonte David on the weakside. He's only 24 and will just get better. Welcome, Sio.
Still looking to acquire offensive skill players and secondary help. Wilkerson and Pryor still available...
I wish I could be at home sitting in my underwear, eating cheetos and watching the combine. That would be nice on a -10 degree day.
I'm doing 2 of the 3 while not watching the combine (underwear olympics bore me....I'll check out the posted info after)
I'll give you the best shut down corner in the league. The Canadian Football League. CB Delvin Breaux $439,000 ($150,000)
Got some interest in Peterson. Have to say I'm not looking to move him unless its a package better than I gave up.
My understanding is that he moved around some. Used as a SLB in 13, weakside stand-up LB in 14. We plan to keep him on the strong side.
