Im so happy to be a heat fan.. It is great to have Andy Arison and Riley keeping miami fans sane whilst they deal with the clown show in Davie with Ross.
This trade is such a straight up video game trade. "Ok, how about if I add this crappy depth player to the trade? Declined. Ok I'll add this one too. Declined. Plus this one? Accepted!!!"
Riley is such a gangster. I can't believe teams continue to trade with him. Thank god they do, but this dude is incredible.
Cole is going to the Pelicans. Im definitely following his career i want to see wtf everyone else sees. My guess is Khem Birch will sign a ten day deal with Miami soon. And we pick up Kevin Martin after he is bought out to fill out the roster spaces.
I'm actually glad the Heat kept McBob. I still like that big goofy white sum*****, torn jerseys, injuries and all.
Wait, what? Now the Heat have traded Norris Cole for John Salmons? I had the wrong meat. Bucket of chicken is out. Bucket of salmon is in.
You think Zoran Dragic is on a bus somewhere (I'm thinking Greyhound) looking at twitter on his phone and being sad because none of the fan reaction to the trades today mention Zoran Dragic?
I posted a few days ago about our team, Spurs and Lakers representing the Finals since 1999.. Looks like we are staying on that trend! Next season with Mcroberts back, man I hope Raps/Wizards fans had their fun. We are back!
So far it looks like Phoenix gets: Granger, Salmons and 2 picks NO gets: Cole, William and Hamilton Heat gets: Goran and Zoran Dragic.
Zoran Dragic creating fake twitter accounts so he can jump on and be like "Heat acquire Zoran Dragic?! Nice!!!!!1"
There's confusion about Salmons, different reports. We'll just need to see how it finally shakes out. Regardless, we got Dragic for players and picks that we cared nothing about
SportsCenter @SportsCenter 4m4 minutes ago The Heat have sent PG Norris Cole to New Orleans for veteran swingman John Salmons. (via @WindhorstESPN)
Dragic/chalmers/napier Wade/johnson/zoran Deng/ennis Bosh/haslem Whiteside/bird I love it. We can beat anyone in the east. Add in blatche and we are set. Might need to look for depth at the 3 if Salmons isnt here.
Anyone else when thinking about Goran and Zoran Dragic not able to get the image out of their head of Cobra's Tomax and Xamot?
For those of you that have Club Level..well..you already knew..for those that don't.....you would have known Two days ago that Miami was trying to acquire Goran Dragic.
Now THIS is serious fapping material: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12348750 The TWO very best Basketball analysts for ESPN, think Dragic is a top 5 PG.
Well the minute news broke that we were a preferred destination of his and knowing Riley and knowing guard is our biggest weakness, I already knew. Did phoenix give up picks to get dragic and Isaiah Thomas or were they just FA acquisitions? Because they aren't doing a bad job of floipping them, especially getting knight.
Man it's just hard to wrap my head around how in one swipe they basically shed every single player in the rotation that you'd look at and say, "Man I don't know why that dude is even here. That was a mistake." MAYBE with the exception of Shawne Williams. But he's not a guy you'd want to keep for next year.
A few thoughts from the little I've been able to piece together at work on my lunch break... - Heat/Suns deal is good for both sides. Suns got 2 1st rounders for a player who only wanted to play in Miami, NYK or LAL. Miami did well for obvious reasons. Only concern if I were a heat fan would be what years those picks are in because if wade and bosh get old you could be giving away those two 1sts in declining years. If you win a chip no one will care...but if you don't.... - my Knicks did well getting two 2's for prigioni. Cleared an additional 300k in cap for next year. - Houston did great adding Priggy Smalls (Prigioni) and KJ McDaniels for only 2nd round picks. - what the heck is Utah doing? - solid move for OKC getting Kanter. He doesn't play great d but he rebounds and they needed a big badly. - Detroit still doesn't know what they're doing. - Milwakee was the biggest winners today IMO getting miles plumlee mcw and Tyler Ennis.
I think they put him on the perimeter to drain threes. I mean, you gotta use that game-breaking talent somehow.
