    Thee...Ohio State University
Ohio State's gameplan was simple vs Oregon, take away his first read he notoriously struggled when teams had the talent and ability to do that which wasn't very often obviously. In the NFL he will rarely find himself NOT going through his progressions and his scheme will always be neutralized.

That being said CKap got 100M with that same flaw, but it appears his progression has taken a step back...does MM have the ability to keep getting better? Who knows, I say at worst you are getting a CKAp, and at best something that will become the type of schematic headache that Michael Vick once was.

Too bad his common sense IQ is on par with Manziel's.

I think the only plus for Mariota is that he's extremely coachable and isn't going to be an idiot. He shouldn't be (although he might) a year one starter. He needs to sit and learn how to read through his progressions, read the defense, and stand in the pocket. If he doesn't and he tries to use his legs when everything breaks down, he isn't going to be much better than an RG3 or Kaepernick.

He's immature, whereas Manziel is a party animal who cares more about celebrity than football.

I will say Winston interviews much better than Mariota.

Manziel is an addict. Jameis has displayed poor, decision making and poor impulse control. Those aren't fair to compare. Unless the major allegation against him is true. Then that's a completely different story

Looking to move up in the draft by trading picks for picks. Have a bunch of late rounders if anyone is interested. I will be using trade value chart

Pretty much this. I hate FSU. I don't even like Winston as a person due to his choices. That said, he's the best QB on the draft board and has all the tools including football IQ. Easy choice.

He's also not a slouch athlete. He can run when he wants to.

if anyone's got some late, expendable draft picks and are looking for some solid, veteran depth help let me know. I'm literally willing to move most of my veterans for next to nothing. I'll probably end up even moving multiple players in a package for just a 6th or 7th maybe. Check out my roster on my team page.

In a few years if you're right we can come back to this. No sense arguing about it now. I'm pretty sure Mariota will be on someone's bench at that time though or on his last chance as a starter.

So, I've been getting interest in Joe Haden. So, I'll field offers for him. I'm looking for strictly picks on this one. FTR, his salary is $11,700,000 ($12,800,000).

If the eagles move up to get Marcus, I think he'll be very much like Russell Wilson. A game manager. Chip Kelly will do wonders for his success. DON'T twist my words, he's not even on the same planet as Wilson, but he can be a pretty good game manager and his legs will allow him to get away with things other qbs can't.

I'm happy to say my offense is more or less complete finally. Of course there are a few minor players I may go after in FA but defense is the concern now.

    Schisno's Useless Statistics:
    Trading Quarterbacks 2012-2014

Since 2012 42 GML General Managers have been involved in trades involving Quarterbacks
    - 20 GMs have been involved in 2 or more Quarterback related trades
    - Only 5 GMs have traded QBs over multiple years (no more than 2 years), they include Sports24/7, Ricky Bobby, Van Dolphan, Nappy Roots, Bdogtitan

The most likely GMs to be involved in Quarterback related trades are Sports24/7, Ricky Bobby, VanDolPhan
    - Sports24/7 has been involved in 6 Quarterback related trades total, 5 in 2014 (25% of the leagues QB Trades)
    - Ricky Bobby and VanDolPhan have been involved in 5 Quarterback related trades total, 4 in 2014 (20% of the leagues QB Trades)

There have been a total of 41 Trades involving QBs in that time span
    - There were 20 Trades involving QBs in 2014
    - There were 15 Trades involving QBs in 2013
    - There were 6 Trades involving QBs in 2012
    - There have been a total of 34 Quarterbacks involved in those transactions

    The Most traded Quarterbacks?
Michael Vick - Traded 4 times - Two trades included another QB in exchange (Josh Freeman, Matt Cassel)
Peyton Manning - Traded 3 times - One trade included another QB in exchange (Matt Schaub)
Matthew Stafford - Traded 3 times - All three trades included another QB in exchange (TJ Yates, Aaron Rodgers, John Skelton)

Josh Feeman, TJ Yates and Cam Newton were all traded twice in trades acquiring another quarterback

Robert Griffin III, Sam Bradford, Ryan Mallett, Philip Rivers, Matt Schaub were all traded twice, but only half their trades involved another quarterback

Tom Brady and Tim Tebow are the only other QBs traded twice, but never in a trade involving another quarterback

In Total, 14 Quarterbacks have been traded at least twice

The #1 Overall pick has been involved twice in trades involving quarterbacks
    - QB TJ Yates has been packaged both times with the #1 Overall pick for either Sam Bradford or Matthew Stafford
    - Both QBs TJ Yates have been traded for have their last name ending in "ford"

    ------------------------

    Quarterback Values

The following list is for quarterbacks who were acquired for a single draft selection:

    7th Round - Brandon Weeden (#204)
    6th Round - Terrelle Pryor, (#163), Tim Tebow (#173), Tyrod Taylor (#175)
    4th Round - Matt Barkley (#144)
    3rd Round - Kirk Cousins (#80)
    2nd Round - Jay Cutler (#44), Brock Osweiller (#50)
    1st Round - Tom Brady (#2), Peyton Manning (#5)

Is Robert Griffin III (2014) more valuable than Peyton Manning who lost a Superbowl (2014)?
    - Peyton Manning was acquired by Oakland (Magnolia Fan) for #5 Overall - Trade Value Chart (TVC) = 1,700 points
    - Robert Griffin III was acquired by Cleveland (Sports24/7) for #4 Overall and #83 Overall - TVC = 1,975 points (1,800 + 175)

    The Tebow stocks goes down!
    - Tim Tebow (2013) was worth 22.2 TVC Points
    - Tim Tebow (2012) was worth an estimated 520 TVC points which equaled pick #38 of Round 2
    - Tim Tebow lost an estimated 4 round value in one offseason

    Denver (PSG) sends:
#25 (720 TVC), #199 (11.8 TVC), Elvis Dumervil, Tim Tebow

    Cleveland (Vengeful Odin) sends:
    Chris Gocong, #4 (1,800 TVC), #60 (300 TVC)

What is Case Keenum's value? A study in the value of a 3rd string QB:
2014 - Green Bay (Finfangirl) acquired Keenum with picks #42 (480 TVC), #79 (195 TVC), #100 (100 TVC) for #21 (800 TVC) from Houston (VanDolPhan)
    - The left over TVC value equals 25 points which nets her #166 Overall (RD 6 - Pick 6)
    - Which means she is just short of a Terrell Pryor

    Hall of Fame Stock Watch

Peyton Manning TVC in 2014 = 1,700 points (#5 Overall)
Peyton Manning TVC in 2012 = 520 points + WR Jarrett Dillard (What is a Dillard?)
    - An increase of 1,180 points or #13 Overall

Based on these estimates we'd give Peyton Manning (2015) a current estimated value of 700 TVC Points or #26 Overall

Tom Brady (2013) was worth 2,600 TVC Points (#2)
Tom Brady (2012) was worth 1,600 TVC Points (#6)
    - Tom Brady and Danny Woodhead was acquired for #6 Overall, Roy Helu, Brian Orakpo, DeAngelo Hall

Based on these estimates we'd give Tom Brady (2015) a 1,300 TVC (#10 Overall)

If you would like us to track down the value of any specific players please feel free to ask, and remember to subscribe to Schisno's GML Analytics for only $9.95

Interesting to see frequency of QBs traded increase each year.

I expect it to be lower, and level out with dead money. Probably average around 6-10 for the foreseeable future.

I was involved in 2 myself. Lions and Raiders flipped QBs. Not sure if any others, so i guess it's leveling out.

There were probably more high profile QBs getting moved this year, last year what you saw happen was a starter was acquired or traded and then the previous incumbent or backup moved. That happened on a good 25% of QB trades. I don't really see much more movement ahead unless someone just fell in love with one of these QBs and decides to try and move up in the draft.

Yah I still hate that original Bradford trade. That was me panicking just to find any QB.

As far as Case Keenum that's just FFG's way of always trying to wring out that last drop of the trade washcloth. If not a backup......her love of 7th rounders :trytofly:

I think the proudest one I had was the first. I knew Rivers still had something in him...Luckily he proved me right and it ended up being the perfect time to trade ole Stevie.

Exactly. I cant stand the Criminoles or Semenholes or whatever you wanna call em but damn if that kid isnt good.

On a different note Rakeem Cato, Brett Hundley and Bryce Petty are all better QBs then Marriota. Marriota may have intangibles but hes just not a very pro ready qb imo

I actually thought Mariota looked really good today. 2nd best QB out there behind Winston, although the gap was pretty big. And that's throwing around in shorts.

Petty has an fing cannon though. Much better arm than I thought.

Watched the Senior bowl, Petty (and every other QB there) looked like ****. I rather have Mariota than Petty. He's another scheme QB.

They may not be close to ready in your opinion but I have a 4th round grade on Marriota anyway. Only way he does anything in the pros is if Kelly gets him in Philly
