I always remove players from my team page right after trading. He was still there which made me think he was still there myself. I thought M. Shaughnessy trade was just the 7th for some reason.

It's not on GiK to make sure of these things. I know 2 GMs were in trade talks in a player I had already traded for. It happens mainly because people don't update their Team pages often. Maybe double check on what trades each team made before you pull the trigger.

It's easier now to check with the trades all listed on the first page of the thread.

Maybe it is because I am neurotic but before making a trade I always Control F on the draft pick thread (to make sure both teams have the picks discussed in the trade) and in few incidences I've Controlled F through the official trade thread pages to make sure a player I was trading for was not indeed traded previously.

Its a smart thing to do and I usually do something like that if I'm unsure as well.

Anyway it should be resolved. Pick #128 is a higher value than I had on Fells but he's a nice project to have, and this Is a weak TE class...plus pain and suffering charges jk.

No need for sarcasm, I don't appreciate that. I was upset (anyone would) and would have liked help resolving it other than just a SOL. I wasn't implying that it's on you to keep tteam pages updated. That's on individual GMs. I meerly wanted help resolving an issue that clearly and significantly impacted my team. Fortunately we resolved it. But don't get mad at me though for not happily accepting an oversight like that.

I've done it before... It takes less than a minute.

Like everyone in this league I pretty much check out every trade that happens on there so if a player rings a bell (as in I thought I saw him traded) I cross reference it.

And again, I prefaced it saying it might be because i am neurotic...

Yah draft picks I check the most recent 2 pages then check GIK's draft order thread.

For players I do an actual forum search.

I am not mad at you. Sarcasm is something apart of my personality, for better or worse.

Outside of suggesting the two of you work it out yourself, not much I could do other than penalize Alex. I don't think there needs to be a zero tolerance policy with this however.

Both of you are veterans and Alex had publicly reached out and said he'd make it right. There was nothing more for me to do other than wait it out.

I know you do, it was an anomaly. Everything was righted between you and Bdog so life goes on

Also just wanted to take this time to thank GIK and everyone else for all the hard work they put into this league behind the scenes. I know how much time I put into my team and can't imagine having to do that for 31 teams in addition to mine. You all do a great job and I almost wonder if we should all chip in some $$$ for the amount of time you dedicate to the league. I wouldn't mind paying $5-$10 to do the GML in the future (food for thought). Anyways thanks again! :knucks:

Yeah luckily it worked out. I think you might have actually asked for pick #128 at first before I offered Bruton and, I dont want to say sold you on him, but laid him out there to have. I could be wrong on that though because quite a few people asked for #128 and it gets muddled.

At the end of the day you turned a 7th rounder into a 4th rounder which is actually still damn good.

And one of them waited 11 months to report it and reports the guy 5 inches shorter and 80 pounds lighter. You can read the "reports" all you want. But the reports are he said, she said.

True. I think if nothing else happened after that people wouldn't bring it up as much. I feel like his other incidents afterwards cause people to think "This guy isnt bright...maybe he did rape her". Which isnt really fair.

Whether he did or didn't though, the police were really quick to get it swept under the rug. It doesn't mean he did it though, I think everyone has their own opinion on that.

The Tallahassee police are quick to sweep anything under the rug involving FSU players. I want to say PJ Williams was involved in a hit and run with another vehicle and the paper work for it magically disappeared after they realized who it was. Its disgusting.

That is nothing but outside ignorance. Go do some actual research on how the Tallahassee police have handled FSU players. Its disgusting that you throw out blatant lies after 0 research.

I dont know their history, but with Winston it did disappear mysterious and quick. That doesn't mean he did anything wrong of course. It could literally have been open and shut, they could have not wanted to deal with it and he was innocent anyway.

Possibly. I think she wanted it, changed her mind when the situation took place and things went on. That is just my personal opinion.

Its really not uncommon for rape victims to not come out for long periods of time after the event when it can't be proven. Not saying that is the case here. Only a few people know for sure exactly what happened.

Is it uncommon for the "rape victims" to not come out for long period of time, and then mis-describe the assailant by 5 inches and 80 pounds?

I have done some research and there are plenty of instances of TPD either making things go away or not charging players for crimes that the rest of us would never be so lucky to have happen. Maybe they don't do it all the time, especially if it's an instance where they really have no choice or if it's a non important player, but they most certainly do abuse the powers of their job in order to assist the FSU program.

It's TPD's job to enforce the law unequivocally, consistently, and without judgment, just as they swore to do when initiated. If felony vandalism occurs, it's not their job to determine the outcome or punishment involved [or lack thereof]. That responsibility belongs to a judge or jury. That's why they're a part of the Judicial Branch and cops aren't. If cops were meant to have judicial responsibility, they'd be given it. It's their job to make the arrest and to impartially, objectively, and honestly gather all the necessary information for the judge or jury to best determine the outcome, just as they would if it were Joe Schmo who had committed the vandalism, as his *** would've been cuffed and carted off to jail for processing.

I am calling it exactly what it is. Crap that can dig up and make anything into what they want it to be. They could go across the nation and do the same crap with all Universities. Simple fact is, TPD has a history of not only charging FSU players, but sometimes over charging or over being on top of Nole players because they are the football players.

Think Peter Warrick or L.Coles should of been charged with GRAND THEFT because they got free clothes, as they have done before, because people give them stuff.

There have been plenty of mistakes by Nole players, just like the entire NCAA playing field. Nothing is different in Tallahassee, unless you want there to be.

That was on the brink of a National Championship game, with Warrick about to win the Heisman trophy. What was one of the greatest Noles of all time. Grand theft because he didnt pay full price for the clothes that day. Don't tell me they just protect the University.

Human beings are notoriously bad at judging height so its possible. In most studies when people are asked to judge the height, length, whatever of a person or animal they are almost always off by 3-4 inches and by many feet on animals such as sharks. Also memories of even the most terrible events are often warped and changed over time.

I'm not saying he's guilty at all though, just that I don't think anyone can ever say for certain exactly what happened and why.

Also I don't think its a FSU thing. I think any athlete of his stature at any school would have come out unscathed as well.

here it is in a nutshell. It doesn't get any simpler than this:
Either two unrelated girls with no prior knowledge of each other's encounter with Jameis are lying despite having clean records and seeming like decent girls by all accounts and one of whom displayed full signs of sexual assault to go along with his semen in her panties.... or Jameis is the one lying, the guy with a sociopathic-esque history of defying authority, not understanding the word "stop" or "no", acting with a sense of entitlement, acting without values or integrity, committing crimes, engaging in other poor behavior, displaying a lack of respect toward women as he screams "f*** her right in the p****" in public and tells a female employee to basically go f*** herself when demanding him to stop stealing from her establishment, having issues with impulse control, and having involvement with criminals.

Sorry, but there's now way in cold heck that he deserves or has earned the benefit of the doubt over the 2 girls. Jameis doesn't have to be convicted of rape to be a rapist, just as tons of other athletes with similar God complexes have gone unconvicted of rape despite committing the act.
