Boik is killing it with some of these deals. Great, almost unbelievable values! May be the early front runner for GMotY.

Also, anyone know why Peko was taken off the board? I had a 2.0M bid on him at 12:39 ET AM 2/23 (right after FA opened). However, I neither see him on the active bids or signed list.

Ravens would like to welcome the formerly homeless Brian Hartline for 950k. You have a home now Brian...now we just have to teach you different routes besides curls and outs.

I think we should make it a rule that if people do not include the players full name and position the bid does not count.

I wouldn't mind implementing something like that going forward. Can't do anything about that retroactively, but it'd be nice to see the full names and positions for every player that is bid on.

That being said, it's difficult to draw the line. What happens if we misspell a name? Write DE instead of DT? Etc.

The Cincinnati Bengals took strides to secure depth on their roster as they continue to construct a team capable of pushing pas the first round of the playoffs. Winning a Super Bowl not only takes top talent among a team’s 22 starters, but a total team effort from all 53 players. With that in mind, the Bengals are pleased to formally announce the signing of several promising role players.

--QB Charlie Whitehurst – A more than capable backup, Whitehurst was very efficient last year filling in for Jake Locker and that other guy. He threw for 1,326 passing yards and 7 TDs to 2 INTs, with a healthy 7.2 YPA average. His passer rating was 87.4 with a less than stellar supporting cast, giving us confident that he could keep things afloat if Drew Brees were to go down – which isn’t likely given his durability in recent years (15+ games every year since 2004).

--Brodrick Bunkley, DT, Bengals, -- $510,000 – We think this is an absolute steal for the minimum. Bunkley has not lived up to his first-round draft status, but he’s one of the better run stoppers in the game. And that’s exactly what we need him for as we look for someone to compliment our strong interior combo of Kawann Short and Clinton McDonald. Positive grade vs the run every year since 2011.

--Lorenzo Alexander, LB, Bengals – An “ace on special teams”, Alexander provides nice depth and is willing to do dirty work. This is the type of guy you win championships with.

--Leon McFadden, CB, Bengals - $510,000 – A 3[SUP]rd[/SUP]-round pick in 2013, McFadden has promise as a specialist and a nickel back given his quickness and fluidity. 0.5 PFF grade in 2014 for San Francisco in just 85 snaps, we like that his productivity and efficiency went up as his playing time did. A potential dime back for us.

--Jordan Poyer, CB, Bengals - $650,000 – Another potential dime back, Poyer has experience playing S and CB. Surrendered a passer rating of 56 while at corner last year and earned a PFF grade of 0.7. Also earned a 0.7 grade while playing safety, too. Opposing passer rating was 83 there. Natural athlete with decent size (6-foot), we think he can be productive in sub packages.

--Ricky Lumpkin, DT, Bengals – $510,000 – Here’s another sleeper who should push for some reps in our rotation on defense. Graded out 1.2 on the season (87 snaps) and he did well when given more run late in the season (4 tackles and a sack in Week 15, +2.4 grade in Week 16).

--Charley Hughlett, ST, Bengals - $510,000 – He’s a long snapper. Enough said.

That rule would could be implemented for real free agency or from this point on. I think it would help everything run smoother and would be easier for the people running free agency. I feel like some GM's do it to try to sneak bids/player through free agency. To that end I say let's take the deceit out of the game. Just my 2 cents

Same thing that happens in the NFL the contract off would be null and void (for names only; positions could be a best judgement case since a DT for you could be a DT for me). I mean if you are willing to give a guy over a half million dollars to play on your team you should be able to spell his name...

This would also be easier to implement for real FA when all the positions are listed together. So DL is usually one thread, Secondary is usually another thread, etc.

And Suh already got tagged so no one would have to worry about spelling his first name lol

I agree but my only issue is that I do almost all my bidding from my phone so typos are a way of life. Also what happens if you list a player (for example: Jimmy Wilson) as a safety when he may be listed as a corner...he's played both positions so technically there shouldn't be an error there. I can see some silly stuff escalating for no reason. I don't need anyone going full Greg on us. For those reasons I'd oppose the implementation of such a rule

As long as you say what position the player is and a semblence of his name, plus what team you are I don't care. You should be able to copy and past from the active bids list and just change the offer amount and put in your team name.

I'll ignore bids without your team name, cause frankly I'm too lazy to look y'all up, and if you don't care to say your team is offering then you don't care if its ignored.

I never have nor ever will proofread my posts on a message board, and like others I'm on a mobile device 99.9% of the time. I get what you mean in some instances that may be intentional, but if one of those washed up OL lovers want to spell it Kalif Barns I think we all know who they are reffering to and it would be silly to punish them.

It would be easier to implement in real FA when the players are grouped together by position. Wilson would be in the secondary thread containing both CBs and Ss so he would be good.

I also post mostly on my phone, in fact I'm currently in bed watching Rocky II and have been able to type these long messages without making typos.

Falcons QB Ryan Tannehill $5,000,000 for example, it's not too hard

What happens in the case for example a team bids on Aaron Williams and another team comes by and offers a larger contract to A. Williams but there is a Arthur Williams that no one has offered yet?

Player 1 could say Player 2 offer "Arthur" and that Aaron Williams should be his.
Player 2 could say he obviously bid up "Aaron" since he raised the bid by an acceptable incriment.

Titans at the request of newly acquired DC Vic Fangio have signed SS Dashon Goldson. After proving to be one of the best S in football, Dashon signed a huge contract with the Bucs..he like other big named FA's struggled adjusting to the new scheme. "They even had Darrele Revis out of place, and that's hard to do" said Fangio, Goldson who declined comment on his prior situation is just happy to be back in the scheme he thrived in and made his elite.

The Ravens would like to welcome CB Cary Williams back to the Ravens for 3.25M. Williams ranked 19th out of 118 in Completion Percentage Against as QBs completed just 56.6% of passes thrown his way. He played almost 1200 downs last season proving his durability. He will be a welcome addition to an already formidable cornerback combination of Jimmy Smith and Darius Slay.
