Seahawks announce the signing of WR Josh Boyce. The 5'11 third year man that was released by the Patriots will be joining the wide receiver gang in Seattle after special teamer/backup Ricardo Lockette was traded to Jacksonville. Lockette excelled in his roles and while he will be missed, with Chris Matthews having a bigger role in the offense, it made sense. Boyce will contribute immediately on special teams and will be employed as a slot receiver. Despite sparse playing time in New England, Boyce was often regarded as one of the better players on the practice squad and in scrimmages. Boyce will get more of an opportunity in the wake of Lockette being dealt. Seahawks also announce the signing of Clay Harbor. Harbor will become the third tight end on the depth chart after Luke Willson was traded away. Harbor has shown flashes of his ability as a pass catcher but has not been durable. He will once again be a part time player used primarily in passing situations given Green and Doyle's plus ability as blockers, which is Harbor's weakness.

Darn, I was busy yesterday studying for calculus, stats, and government tests and completely forgot about upping my bid on Jerry Hughes. Oh well, great pickup for the Saints. Guess I'll have to go in a different direction now

But hey, at least I got more than a 5th for Brandon Marshall, right??

    Frickin Bears...

I kind of like my front 3 for my 3-4 defense now that I brought back Williams at NT. Derek Wolfe - Dan Williams - Frostee Rucker

The Atlanta Falcons would like to welcome Vince Wilfork to the team.

Vince Wilfork may be getting up there in age, but he still is one of the best DT/NT's in the game. This year he had the third most defensive stops out of all defensive tackles; while accumulating 47 tackles, 2 pass deflections, and an interception all the while coming off an Achilles tear in 2013. Wilfork was a true workhorse for the Patriots this past year playing 73.3% of the snaps last year (952 snaps) at 325+ pounds.

Wilfork's role with the Falcons will be one that he is capable of excelling at, a clogger. He will be asked to eat up blockers, secure our run defense, and push the pocket on passing downs. Wilfork will provide winning veteran leadership to a young up but incredibly talented defense, while forming the perfect pair with DT Corey Peters. Peters being able to get after the QB, while Wilfork will push the pocket back and command more than one blocker.

I figured he'd get about that. 1 good year wont get you a huge pay day at RB. Murray is the only RB that is going to get paid in this FA class.

Welcoming back Tommy Kelly. If you throw on any tape from the Cardinals last year, you will see this man was an animal. As much as I wanted to get younger, it never hurts to add veteran depth.

David Hawthorne is another veteran backup we'll be adding. He's had a steady, solid career for the most part and he's still only 29. Coming from a 3-4 Saints defense, he'll fit right in as our best backup ILB.

    Torrey Smith Signs With Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles landed another big-time free agent yesterday, as the team finalized a one year deal with free agent wide receiver Torrey Smith. Smith is expected to be big contributor for the Eagles next season, and has the versatility to line up outside, inside, and all over the field. Smith is also a red zone threat, having scored 11 TDs last year, more than either Jeremy Maclin or Jordan Matthews, Philadelphia's leaders last season.

Offensive Coordinator Marc Trestman had this to say:

Smith's signing most likely signals that newly acquired receiver Devin Hester will most likely be primarily used on special teams and in formations requiring multiple wideouts.

Packers will be happy to take a 3rd or 4th rounder as compensation... since we didn't have any 3rd or 4th rounders.. or 5th or 6th rounders left.

yeah... the Packers considered what to do with Cobb... it was the first thing I researched when I took over the team. Fact is, he is a slot receiver as you say. And he's coming off his best season. There was no way I was going to tag him, because that is overpaying and nobody would have wanted to trade anything at that point for a guy who is overpaid. Sure Rodgers wanted him back (and the NFL version Packers signed him before he hit FA). But once we got Dez Bryant, Cobb was free to fly. I didn't expect to be keeping him anyway, prior to even trading Jordy Nelson or acquiring Dez. We just have other areas we wanted to address as well.

I agree, it is a lot. Figured it would've gone to there or higher if bidders had a chance to get emotionally vested. Now the ball is in St Louis's court. Do they overpay even further or look to max out that cash elsewhere? :dunno:

    Hey guys,

Do me a favor and just copy and paste the names or the entire line of the bid of the player you want and just update it with a new bid amount and team name. It would make it easier on the updaters.

I know you want to get your bid in quick, but honestly is an extra 5 seconds going to kill you? I mean it's in alphabetical order by positions for you, I tried to make it easy enough for you guys to navigate, if you could show the same courtesy it would be appreciated.
