Will do. But we never know when the extra 5 seconds will matter when Mr 23 hour 59 minute and 55 seconds is around
Why is "03/23/15 - Restricted Free Agency/Franchise Tag Bidding Begins" after FA? Seems kinda ****ty. Doesn't seem convenient at all.
because that's how it works in real life, though it's supposed to run concurrently, just an ending date of after FA.
im not overspending 10 mill on a center for your dudes mach. highest in the league doesn't even make 9.
I mean I can open up bidding now for tagged/tendered players but none would officially accept an offer sheet until it officially ends in late March.
yeah, could at least give people an idea. Remove the 24 hour rule or no? Eh, should likely message about it.
I would remove the 24 hour rule and the bids wouldn't count towards their 7 active bids (though they would need to have the cap space for the bid). Just pondering at this point.
Just from a selfish standpoint, if someone is going to bid on any of the players that I have tagged, I would prefer to know now, as it may change my approach to the rest of FA.
If a few more people approve, I'll just open up bidding now for that and adjust the rules a little bit to avoid any major loopholes.
Usually tagged players are the last ones to sign (of the big FAs at least), so I would like to keep it where it is. If I miss out on UFAs I am most interested in, maybe I decide one of the tagged guys is worth going after. As it is right now with any tagged players though, I know I won't go after them until all my other options are exhausted.
and that was part of the idea to make it that way. But then there's the other issue of the guy who had the fellow and planned on rolling with him who is now stuck and has no options.
Well, no tagged/tendered player would sign with anyone until the deadline (which would likely be like March 25 since the draft starts March 28) hits. If a tagged player was bid on, it doesn't mean their bid clock goes to 24 hours automatically.
in the NFL, yes, but most people actually want the guy (or to trade him) here. The fact the comp is supposed to act as a deterrent or a consolation prize, not enticement, helps align things though.
Justin Smith - $6,436,668 ($2,186,668) Patrick Willis - $8,268,000 ($843,500) 305 just unexpectedly got some more cap space.
those aren't real names. chargers are just mashing the keyboard and saying they're people for more cap.
@Ryanmallet better chance to start in jax considering their current roster. @RT17 pissed about the pursuit of mallet, will consider throwing to the other team more often next season.
If some of you guys aren't going to include Positions and First Names or even What team you are expect your bids to be ignored because I'm not going to read between the lines to give you the players you want. Cause, apparently you don't really want those players if you don't know what position they play, or what their names are....or even what team you GM. Just a heads up.
