Clay is slightly above average. Slightly. The problem is you don't pay a guy elite money if he isn't elite. Give me Suh over keeping Clay every day and 100 times on Sunday. Because that is really what it comes down to.
TE for FSU. He was originally projected to go in the late 3rd-4th. It's a weak draft so he might even go in the 2nd. But if we lose Clay he should absolutely be considered.
frank gore officially signs with colts 8.5 mil guaranteed, also reported andre johnson will sign with indy
At this point the issue with Clay is consistency for Tannehill. How much turnover can you really have with a young QB?
Clay is Keith Byars 2.0. I'd keep him but at the right price. At the end if the day, he's an undersized TE/FB/H-Back who is more of a luxury if you have a more natural TE in front of him. As others said, he's got nice hands but he doesn't do things you need a TE to do besides catch the ball. He's also not a downfield, seam-busting TE. At 7 million, it would suck to lose him to BUF and then see him kill us when we play them. But we'd have to get over it.
Nope. I bet we're taking it slow from announcing so we don't look as suspicious, if NFL is going to investigate....make it "seem" we're still negotiating.
I want Antonio Cromartie. Dude is not good as he played for the jest but has size unlike Grimes. And i think he may be quite affordable...
Also with Lions getting Ngata, they wont be able to afford Suh either so he wouldnt go back to Detriot
