Glad to have him back. He's the best tackler outside of Jones in the secondary. I thought he was better than Delmas last season in a little different role. Our defense seemed to suffer after Thomas went down and I'm sure a little had to do with Thomas. I'd be confident in him starting in place of Delmas to be honest. Better cover man and a much better tackler.

 

Right now he's the closest thing we have to a midfielder, ballhawking safety. Hopefully he stays healthy enough to contribute.

 

Thomas was out best ST player last year, and I love his versatility.

 

So Jones, Thomas, Aikens (could be a safety) and Kovacs are currently our safeties under contract?

Guess it's just a matter of which free agent safety we get... glaring hole right now.

 

Also, Don Jones, and Shamiel Gary.

 

I don't think he'll have much to do with Thomas, as he'll be getting corn-holed on the reg, courtesy Ndamukong Suh and/or Cameron Wake and/or Olivier Vernon.
