http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...-agents-of-alltime-20150310-photogallery.html Any coincidence half these signings were during a certain era??
How is Richard Marshall not #1 on that list? His greatest sin isn't that he sucked. He did of course, but even worse, he flashed enough in camp to convince Philbo and Ireland that Vontae Davis could be expendable for the right price.
I wouldn't put Brandon Gibson on that list. He was pretty damn reliable before tearing his ACL and then was thrusted into a crowded receiving core last season.
Yeah, that was the one guy I'd probably not put there either. Certainly Colombo is worse.. how is that guy #10?
Eric Green should be much higher on that list IMO. at the time, that was a pretty huge contract and it was a desperate move by Don Shula.
Dustin Keller? That was no soft injury, he got blown up by a cheap shot. Bad luck, but the signing itself was alright. Short term, reasonable cap hit and he was looking good in camp.
Keller? Really? He and RT had instant chemistry and were looking to be a force before the intentional dirty bullsh*t Swearinger pulled.
No Legadu Nanee (sp?) on the list? Not only did he bring nothing, absolutely nothing to the table, didn't he have a huge fumble that cost Miami a game? I guess the money wasn't enough to put him on the list, but boy was he a disaster. Oh and by the way... Spoiler
Ima go with Richard Marshall for the same reason Clark Kent posted. We traded away a Top 3 CB because Ireland and Philbin were comfortable with Marshall. And guess what, we have a heavy need at CB still lol
Grove and Smiley at least both played well until they got hurt. Wilford was supposed to be contribute and he was terrible. Nanee was supposed to be a competent third wide receiver and contribute. He had a negative effect on the team. I would also put Worrell over Gibson. Damian McIntosh was worse than Grove as well. Joey Porter was a pretty bad signing. He even took time away from Wake.
Appropriate for this thread: Jeff Ireland superimposed over the Vince McMahon strut. Please, no more Raiders players.
Imagine a running back who ran for 134 yards one game then ran for 4 yards and 10 yards. 1 game production for $3 million dollars Almost $20,000 per yard Knowshon Moreno
We beat NE so I'll take it. I also noticed, after the 1st half of that game, Wallace seemed more aggressive. I'd like to think it was Moreno running hard that lit a fire in Wallace.
Same can be said for Moreno's influence on Miller and teaching him to be aggressive. IMHO....the worst signing ever was Culpepper.....if not for that option, it would have been Brees! Forget about the DOCs screwing the pooch on the diagnosis.
The Gerbil should be higher on that list than he is. He was around long enough to do a lot of damage.
