    Let's assume Wallace is gone...

If Cooper is off the board and Scherff is gone/doesn't thrill them, I could see a trade back... and picking a Melvin Gordon in the 20s. Gordon would be SICK in this offense. I'm a UGA fan, and I like Gurley a lot, but, I'm starting to like Gordon more. Gordon can take over games by himself. In our spread-out offense, he would be a threat to take it to the house every play. He'd take some pressure off Tannehill and the passing game.

I also really like Devante Parker, as well... but, Gordon is looking better and better to me every day.

They're delusional, and can't accept the fact that their team is rebuilding from the ground up.

12% of 3rd-round picks become consistent starters.

9% of 4th-round picks become consistent starters.

    Negligible difference.

There are some reports that Bree's wasn't happy with Stills and didn't want him on the roster next year. I don't know how valid these reports are because Stills seemed to be a productive player for the Saints.

I think a lot of Saints fan have accepted that they are going into a rebuilding period and they are just happy to get a third round pick for a player who was their 5th round pick a few years ago.

I went on the Saints forum to read the comments and it appeared before the trade that the majority of the fans wanted Stills to remain with the Saints. I saw far more positive comments than negative comments in regards to Stills as a player.

Biased fans or just delusional. No way this is a steal for them. Stills is one of the better up and coming receivers in the league. Still on rookie contract and not even 23 years old. If anything it is a fair trade for them. Getting a 3rd for Stills is decent. Not a steal by any means. I hope they don't think Ellerbe is any good.

Yeah, 'cause you're an expert on head coaches and couldn't possibly be wrong about him.

But, hey... if you wanna take a crap on every piece of good news about your team, that's your prerogative. Good luck with that.

As much as I think the defense and offensive guard are priority with the first two picks in the draft. I would have absolutely no problem with the Dolphins selecting Gordon. With the addition of Stills and Cameron, Gordon would make the Dolphins an extremely potent offense next season.

The Saints wanted a stronger Defense. It appears they like Ellerbe. I personally think he's very average...

Hopefully keep Wallace for one more year and use the savings to get Clay signed up, if he wants to go to Buffalo then so be it. If we can trade back in the 1st to around 20 and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd to make up for this trade there are plenty of players there that fit our needs (G, MLB etc)

Im not seeing why anyone thinks stills, wallace, and landry is a good receiving group. Andre, Hilton, Fleener, Allen= good. Nelson, Cobb, Adams= good. But I wouldnt say our 3 right now are exactly good without a clear cut/dependable #1. Still think its necessary to go wr in the draft. None of those 3 are receivers that can build a dominating relationship with Tanny. We still need a big possession guy. I say do something like trade back in the 1st get two 2nd rounders and go DGB and then G/MLB/S in the 2nd

I think the possibility of a WR round 1 is very strong. We all knew we would of more then likely taken 2 WRs this draft and getting a proven Stills is answesome way to get your (second WR) in this draft. Good job Phins.

I think Wallace is good as gone... We are paying a good price now for a deep threat.

Ya, but at the outside receiver position who will be running routes every passing down and runs under a 4.5 and can go up and get a sideline pass against a good corner. aka Calvin, Marshall, Julio, AJ type guy

The thing is Stills and Landry haven't reached their ceiling yet. They are both so young. Still will be in his 3rd year and Landry his 2nd. So you don't actually know what you're getting with those two as they will hopefully continue to get better.

Lots of chatter on the internets right now about how Stills is a partier, immature, out all night in the Quarter, etc.

Hope we did our homework on that.

It is being reported the Dolphins are trying to resign Clay to a long term contract. We don't know if it will happen, but if it does, the Dolphins will be able to line up with Wallace, Stills, Landry, Cameron, and Clay in their five receiver sets. That isn't just good, that is freaking ridiculously good.

I know they haven't signed Clay yet and they still might not, but if they do. I would take that receiving corp over any other receiving corp in the NFL at this time.

    A. I can't remember the last time I felt the Dolphins were handling an offseason with competence much less moxie. Genuinely shocked by the good agressive moves they are making.

    B. Before someone else mentioned it earlier I was thinking, man if they added Melvin Gordon to this offense they really have something. I could see him being a legitimate target now.

Might be just as well. Wallace and Stills would be the same type of player. Both deep threat guys. Dolphins need a big possession type WR with Landry as the slot and Stills as the deep threat. The money saved from cutting Wallace could fill in a couple positions of need. Either this offseason or next I think Wallace should be cut.

Or the fact that he played in a dome with Drew Brees and was extremely inconsistent. My first reaction is a 3rd is a high asking price given his production thus far. Maybe he will shine without Graham and Colston getting the lions share of targets. He was a home run hitter with the Saints, but given Tannehill's struggles with the deep ball I'm not sure how he will do.
