So, has any long tenured season ticket holders selected their seats yet? I select tomorrow. Have to admit, I am a little nervous. Concerned I won't be able to get 4 front row sideline seats like I had. Will be really pissed if I can't get equivalent seats after 15 years. Anyone have anything to share?
I did mine and ended up moving up for the same money. I've always sat at an off-set angle in the end-zone and prefer that, though. I had a bit of an issue because they won't let you select a one-seat "buffer" between yourself and other ticket holders. It just won't process and won't give you an error message, so I had to call.
yeah, but that's gonna happen on the home side, when they gutted the prime spots for the corporate friendly 72 Club. You probably could have done better on the visitor side no?
I was a season ticket holder for forty years, until my wife and I relocated to Maui last year. I was speaking to a good friend of mine who still lives in South Florida and has purchased 6 season tickets for the last 30 plus years. He was given the opportunity to select his new seats a few weeks ago. He told me he wasn't happy with the location of the seats and at first he wasn't even going to buy any season tickets because of the new location. His son talked him into renewing two seats at the new location, but he decided to not renew the other four seats. He told me he talked to the Miami Dolphins public relations department in regards to losing his great seats for what he says are now very average seats. He got the impression from them that their attitude was , take it to leave it. With the small crowds they have had in recent years, you would think they would want to take care of their long time season ticket holders better than that. Good luck with your seat selection and I hope you end up happier than my friend did.
I certainly have no complaints. Being retired and living here on Maui is just like being on vacation 365 days a year. I am not religious, but if there is a heaven on Earth, I feel like I moved to heaven when I moved to Maui.
I was there on my honeymoon and if it weren't for family and work, I'd be on the next episode of Hawaii Life.
My wife and I had visited Hawaii at least a dozen times prior to moving to Maui. I always expected to remain in South Florida because that is where my daughter and two grandsons lived In the middle of 2013 our son-in-law was offered a big promotion to relocate to Seattle, Washington. Once he decided to accept the offer, my wife and I talked about moving to Seattle, but she can't stand the constant rain and clouds and I needed to be able to play golf anytime I want to, just as I was able to in South Florida. We decided if we didn't make the move to Maui at that time, we probably never would. So we decided to move here and see if was the right fit for us. Obviously once we moved here, we discovered it was even better living here than it was vacationing here. Our grandsons spent six weeks with us last summer and they wanted to know when mom and dad were going to move to Hawaii. They were only 7 and 5 at the time but by the time they left to go back to Seattle, they both were pretty fair surfers for their age. The older grandson called a few weeks ago and stated he and his brother want to spend the entire summer with us this year. We do miss seeing our grandsons an our daughter as often as we did in South Florida, when they only lived a few miles from us. But we had always figured that once they got a little older, they probably wouldn't be that excited about leaving their friends and going to visits grandma and grandpa. Now that we live in Maui, I'm sure they will want to come and visit no matter how old they get. Even if they don't want to spend much time with us when they get into their teen years. All they have to do is walk out of our house and the beach is less than 100 yards from our front yard. So even if they get tired of being around us old folks, I'm sure they will never get tired of spending time at the beach here in Maui.
