That's a fair question. If there was a back like Lacy, Jeremy Hill, or Hyde available, I would've gone with him first, but since there wasn't, I took the best on my board whom I feel will provide the greatest RB1 production. CJ Spiller's job is too volatile for me to draft around; my offensive scheme, however, isn't. What happens if Spiller blows out a knee this year, never recovers, and I just drafted a back with the intention of complimenting him? Now I've got a starting RB who is less talented than Coleman and doesn't fit the offense as well either.

Not as badly as it's gonna pain a Coot to be Spiller's blocking biatch. :p

21 - Ravens [A+] - Great job to move up and select the best TE in the class. Williams is very decepitive for his size in the open field. Is able to hurdle yes hurdle defenders. He also has amazing hands and makes circus grabs. Ravens select Maxx Williams.

22 - Cowboys [A] - Cowboys were a bit bare at corner and they got my #3 guy Johnson, super athletic who can develop into a shutdown corner but is lacking on the mental side but I fully expect him to pick it up. Cowboys select Kevin Johnson.

23 - Rams [B+] - I really like Erving, I think he is pro ready day 1 but I don't think he is better than some of the guys still on the board. Rams select Cameron Erving.

24 - Cardinals [A-] - Cardinals really needed an edge rusher because they were lacking someone that could get to the QB. Harold has the tools to make an impact but with an average build he will likely start off slow his rookie year. Cardinals select Eli Harold.

25 - Dolphins [A+++:shifty:] - Dolphins traded last years number 1 pick Juwan James and a 5th to move back in to select the versatile Collins. Collins a much better prospect overall than James fell like many of the talented OL in the 1st. Collins gives added versatility to their already versatile oline. Dolphins select La'el Collins.

26 - Colts [B-] - I'm not a big fan of Collins, I don't think he is very good. He has great size but questionable instincts, something I don't like in a corner. Colts select Jalen Collins.

27 - Steelers [A] - Steelers missed out on their main target but luckily for them one of them ended up falling to them. Odig is an outstanding prospect, likely a higher pick but injuries have plagued him but he still put up great combine numbers showing teams it hasn't slowed him down. Love his versatility. Steelers select Odig.

28 - Falcons [A-] - Falcons needed a franchise leader for the defense and they go out and get a very talented one in Kendricks. Kendricks is Smart and agressive a deadly combo when the player understands what is going around him. While he lacks ideal height and length to play the position he is still talented, he isn't my top MLB that goes to Stephone Anthony. Falcons select Eric Kendricks.

29 - Buccaneers [B-] Armstead is a intriguing prospect. Absolutely huge at 6'7 300, he isn't done filling out that monstrous frame but he also shown to me he is a 1st round guy. Needs a lot of development and to me that just isn't 1st round material. Might take time for him to adjust to the speed of the NFL. Right now he is just a huge guy who got by on a bull rush in college. Bucs select Arik Armstead.

30 - Bears [C] I'm sorry Bears. I know this was a need and this was a panic pick but Grasu to me is a late 2. I like Grasu just not Round 1 like. Bears select Hroniss Grasu.

31 - Seahawks [A] Brown is such a fast riser that it's hard to believe he didn't go higher. Has EVERYTHING you want in a DT, Size, mobility, Smart. If you don't believe me watch his game against UCLA. He just has a nose (heh) for football. Likely a top 15 pick. Seahawks select Malcom Brown.

32 - Ravens [A+] Peat was still on the board? Ravens got a great deal at 32, someone who is replacing Monroe and likely a top 5 line in the league if Peat can come in and start without a hitch. He isn't my top tackle but he is outstanding value at 32. Ravens select Andrus Peat.

Will you be grading only the first round? I feel like my Prewitt pick might be more popular than the Grasu one

Even though we differ on opinions on things you still do a damn good job. You got the best TE in the draft, who I think can contribute right away. Peat who is likely going to go higher. I have to remember the GML draft people undervalue OL. You just saw great value.

You grading the 2nd round as well BK? I'm curious what others think of Nelson Agholor. There is talk now is that he may not get outside the top 20. I like his route running, he's probably the 2nd best in this class in that regard after Cooper who is just excellent.

So how does this work? Do San Fran and Indy share joint custody of Jalen?... like do I get him every other Sunday err?

And the best part was when I traded Monroe I basically knew Peat or Flowers would likely be there if I got myself in to the 30-35 range. I saw value but I also knew one of the tackles I wanted would fall.

As good as my pick of Peat was, I still think he will be the first LT off the board, I thought Todd got the best guard in the draft, maybe the best interior OL anywhere in the draft with Aj Cann.

Bengals are on the clock at 3.72. Have a good idea on who we'll take, but will listen to trade offers for anyone looking to move up until 11ish (pick due by noon).

DE Ryan Davis is being actively shopped after the addition of Preston Smith.

Davis, 26, had 6.5 sacks in less than 400 snaps last year and graded out (+19.9) positively against the run and the pass last year. Asking price at this point is about 300-250 points based on TVC, but am also looking for LB depth, S depth and OL depth too if we have to get creative.

If you think you're going to get a DE capable of that type of production at this point in the draft, that means you found a steal. We have the sure thing and are willing to move him, so please PM if interested.

Yup, he's a gem for those who take the time to do their homework on him. Very different player than Malik (Preston Smith fits that mold more) but could be a double-digit sack guy for Jags in 2015. Surprised there hasn't been more interest in him...I blame laziness among 2/3rds of the GMs.

on another completely unrelated note... I'm looking to trade into the third round and am willing to get creative to do it. Nick Perry, Andrew Quarless... I have a fourth round comp pick as well that could be at your disposal (you draft for me, I draft for you, wink wink nudge nudge...) Stedman Bailey??

Davis is a sub-package pass rusher whose contribution comes mostly from the interior, so if you need an actual edge-rusher, Davis is not your guy. That also means he unfortunately won't be a sniffin' double-digit sacks.

Jax used him like a poor man's Michael Bennett circa 2013, and he was effective in that role, so he's a nice addition to a team lacking interior pressure on passing downs [b/c at 6'2 260 he won't be at DT in base D, and he's not good enough off the edge to be Jacksonville's starting LEO]. The risk side here is he's not a starter. As such, he'll always be looking over his shoulder as new players look to steal snaps from him. Jax spent $42 million to add Jared Odrick who I'm sure will kick inside some in nickel, and they'll likely use their #3 pick on a pass rusher. Additionally, defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks notched 8.5 sacks, and Andre Branch will be healthy after missing half of 2014 with injury [4 of Ryan Davis's sacks came in the 7 games Branch was sidelined]. Plus Chris Clemons is still in the picture. Add in Ryan Davis and Gus Bradley will have 6 bodies with which to fill 4 nickel/dime rush positions.

Consider me among the 1/3rd. :)

At least one person did their homework. I never sold him as a pure edge rusher though, but he gets to the QB, I think that's the point. Marks tore his ACL in Week 17, so he'll either miss start of the year or at least be fresh off his rehab. Branch did not play well when he was healthy and is an edge guy. Clemmons is 33 and was relatively ineffective. So assuming Davis' production goes down just because there are more bodies potentially in play is a reach.

Davis was actually productive from start to finish last year, grading out in the green eight times (5 in first 8 games, 3 in last 8, so he was relatively balanced).

I think my point remains: Most teams aren't going to get a pass rusher who was that productive at this point in the draft.

But maybe if I pimp him out a little more I'll get two 3rds for him like you did for Newsome...:knucks: ...

...and for the record, I didn't publicly downgrade or even analyze Newsome, Arthur Jones or Marquess Wilson when you were trying to unload those gems. I would appreciate the same courtesy from you and my fellow GMs.

So he had 4 sacks in 7 games and you are trying to spin that as a bad thing?

Maybe Bdog should have put a bunch of hand selected clips of Davis ala that "beast" arthur jones.

I really liked the Preston Smith pick. He was the top player left on our draft board, so Cincy made it easy for us by taking him. I think he ends up sneaking into the end of round 1, beginning of round 2 IRL.

I was going to take him at 75 if he was there, even though DE isn't really a need for my team right now. I like his versatility, depending on if you're running a 3-4 or a 4-3. I think he could be a good pass rushing under DT in the 4-3 or a solid 5 technique in the 3-4.
