    Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State

The Saints have added more depth to their line with DT Eddie Goldman. Goldman will look to compete for the starting Nose Tackle position against John Jenkins. When asked about why GM WakeUpItsFootball selected Goldman, he simply stated "Simple.. he's one big mother******."

With the 45th overall selection, continuing their PAC-12 run, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select
    Hauoli Kikaha
    [IMG]
    School: Washington | Position: OLB/DE | Experience: rSR | Height: 6-2 | Weight: 253

    OVERVIEW:
Changed last name from Jamora to Kikaha -- which is his mother's last name -- prior to 2013 season. Completed dominant two-year run that saw him earn first-team All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2014 and second-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2013. Combined for 32 sacks, 40 tackles for loss and six forced fumbles during that stretch, starting all 27 games played. Finished 2014 with 19 sacks, including at least one in 13 of 14 games. Started first four games as freshman in 2011, but missed final nine after tearing ACL. Granted medical redshirt in 2012 after tearing ACL again in fall camp. In high school, member of team that finished as runner-up to state champion. Played defensive end and tight end. Also competed in judo and wrestling, winning league championship in judo.

    STRENGTHS:
    • Explosive first step and arc speed to get around the edge with flexible body control and balance to flatten. Stays low with natural dip, using his hands to slap away blockers' jabs without slowing his momentum. Tough to contain in space and rarely stops his feet, crossing the face of blockers and using his lower body quickness to work around bodies. Fluid change of direction skills to make sharp 90-degree turns with the loose hips to turn and play in coverage - will drop and cover in short zones with natural ball awareness and proximity feel. Strong wrists and arrives with aggressive angles and violent intentions, tuning up his target. Nice job on the edges to hold the corner and close off the outside, tracking well to work off contact and pursue. Plays assignment sound football with elite effort and competitiveness. Fiery, pesky motor that simply doesn't quit. Experienced in a two and three-point stance at left and right defensive end, playing mostly the 4i technique as an underclassman before moving to "BUCK" linebacker as a senior - also played on special teams coverages as a senior. Highly productive and one of NCAA's top pass rushers the last two seasons, leaving Washington with the school record for sacks (36.0).
    • He was an Academic All-American and served as a captain in several games throughout his college career. Kikaha is the definition of a high-character player.
    • In his final season with the Huskies, Kikaha was named a unanimous All-American after setting a new school record with 19 sacks as a redshirt senior. Kikaha had a sack in all 14 starts and added 72 tackles (25 for loss) and three forced fumbles.

    WEAKNESSES:

    • Solid build and muscle tone, but lacks ideal body strength and can be pushed off his path at times by blockers. Too easily slowed and needs space to be effective, lacking the length to live in a phone booth. Doesn't have the power to consistently shed once engaged and won't overwhelm with his upper body strength. Can be run at and controlled in the run game, too easily moved from his spot. Moves well, but not a twitchy athlete. Tends to get lazy with his tackling technique at times and needs to be a more consistent finisher. Too many ankle biting tackle attempts, needs to better break down on the move. Needs to improve his anticipation and instincts in coverage. Strong durability concerns after tearing the ACL in his left knee twice (Sept. 2011, Aug. 2012).

    Compares to:

    • Rob Ninkovich, Patriots -- While they need to be schemed correctly to utilize their skills, Kikaha, like Ninkovich, is effective with natural rush skills and a motor that won't quit.
    [FONT=proxima-nova, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
    [/FONT]

    BOTTOM LINE:
Kikaha is the most accomplished pure pass rusher in this draft class. Relies on a relentless motor off the edge more than athleticism. He has an elite determination to get to the quarterback. While he seems to specialize in just rushing the passer, Kikaha has the power, hands and frame to improve against the run. It might take some work to get fully comfortable as a stand-up 3-4 OLB, but Kikaha is a very safe draft prospect as long as his medicals check out.

With the 50[SUP]th[/SUP] pick in the 2015 GML Draft, the New York Jets select:

Justin Hardy, WR - East Carolina

    Height:
5’11” Weight: 192 lbs. Experience: Senior

A little high for this young man but with the recent run on receivers, we had to take him sooner rather than later. Nonetheless, this is a player that both myself and my Co-GM have been high on since the very beginning of the draft process. He is not the biggest, or fastest wideout, but he does the little things well and possesses the attributes to be a contributor in the NFL for a very long time. He is the FBS record holder for career receptions and steadily improved every single year. Right away he will have the chance to compete for a starting role and possibly work as a slot receiver or even the no. 2 guy depending on how well he competes with Marlon Brown, Jerricho Cotchery, and Jarius Wright.

    STRENGTHS:
Shifty receiver with good quickness and acceleration off the line. High football IQ, finds holes in coverages and lets his QB find him. Very QB friendly; works back to him when under pressure or the route breaks down. Versatile receiver capable of playing split, flanker, or slot. A natural catching the football. Sticky hands and extends for the ball, aggressive trying to grab it out of the air. Over 70% of receptions in 2014 went for first downs. Good footwork and loose hips to sell his routes. Plus blocker. Was a walk-on and has a chip on his shoulder mentality. Team captain.

    WEAKNESSES:
Size is an obvious concern. Not physically dominating, using his routes and fundamentals to take over. Separation comes from footwork rather than pure speed and shake. Average straight line speed; not a home run threat deep. Bigger CBs will give him a tough time at the next level. Struggled away from home in porous conditions at Temple.

    COMPARES TO:
Roddy White, Falcons – Although Hardy still has a ways to go before being as fundamentally sound as White, he shares similar height-weight characteristics and speed issues. Neither receiver will physically dominate the opposition or streak down the field for an 80 yard TD but both are smart and know how to work the field, hold onto the ball, and pick up the crucial first down.

Houston Texans select with the 51st pick in the 2015 Draft:

    Jordan Phillips, NT – Oklahoma

    School: Oklahoma | Position: NT | Experience: Sophomore | Height: 6-5 | Weight: 329lbs

OVERVIEW: Skill position stars may get the headlines, but football remains a big man's game and they don't get much bigger than the Sooners' Phillips.
The massive defensive tackle was a five-star recruit and turned down offers from virtually every other program in the country to sign with Oklahoma. After redshirting his first year on campus and recording 12 tackles in 11 games as a reserve in 2012, Phillips won a starting role as a redshirt sophomore.
Phillips started all 12 games for Oklahoma in 2014, recording 32 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks, earning a spot on the coaches' Second Team All-Big-12 squad.
Phillips' blend of size and athleticism is certainly intriguing and teams operating out of traditional three- and four-man fronts, alike, will be interested. He commands double teams in the middle and makes the occasional splashy play, demonstrating surprising quickness for a man of his size.

STRENGTHS: Massive frame with long arms, Athletic lower body for a man his size, Read-and-react two-gap nose with ability to eat space and free linebackers, causes disruption at the point of attack and looks like an excellent candidate to play 3-4 nose tackle. Uses length effectively and was able to split double teams as season wore on. Swim move for quick wins and trips into backfield when Sooners let him penetrate. Athletic with nimble feet and pursuit speed of a man much lighter, should be able to carry additional muscle and girth.

WEAKNESS: Scouts consider him a flash player who can dominate a game but will disappear during stretches. Needs to play with better knee bend and lower pad level, loses some leverage and becomes top-heavy wrestler at times. Not effective as pass rusher. Stalls out early and settles for looking to bat down passes, doesn't crank up a consistent bull rush. Consistency of motor could be improved.

NFL COMPARISON: Terrance Knighton or Dontari Poe

BOTTOM LINE: Nose tackle with desired height, weight and speed. Flashes talent necessary to project a ceiling as a dominant run stuffer best suited for a 3-4 defense. Phillips' ability to eat up blocks should help him earn a high grade, but it's his potential as a big athlete with above-average range for the position that could turn him into a Pro Bowl nose.

    [video]http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:12348779[/video]

RPG’s Notes: Phillips will be looked upon as thestarter at NT but will compete with 2014 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] rounder Louis Nix III

A Byron Maxwell clone, Rollins has only played 12 games of football since high school yet is being touted as a late 1st-2nd round talent. He's raw, and will be eased in to his role with the Titans. His incredibly high ceiling and physicality is perfect for what we want to do.

    Carl Davis, DL, Iowa!!!

Picking where we are, we're very happy to get a talent like Carl Davis, and continue to bolster our defense. Much like our 1st round pick there is plenty to like about this selection today, but we're most excited about the room for growth possessed within and how much it may pay dividends when we look back on this draft a few seasons down the road. We feel Carl can contribute at all spots along our DL in base formations while also giving us some strength and explosion inside in passing situations when he won't be the typical victim of double teams.

I did not think there would be any chance Abdullah would be here at this pick. We have him as the #3 RB in the draft and expected him to go in the early portion of the 2nd round. As the round went on I started to get my hopes up, but when the run on backs started I figured I would have to settle for one of our next options. RB was really the only hole remaining on our team, and we feel we can stick Abdullah in right away as our starter. We are VERY excited about this pick.

LB, Paul Dawson, TCU Horned Frogs

Credit NFL.com for the scouting report.
    GRADE
    5.86

    Paul Dawson (ILB)
    HT: 6'0" WT: 235LBS.
    POSITION: ILB
    SCHOOL: TCU
    ARM LENGTH: 31 1/2"
    HANDS: 9 1/2"
    Overview
Former college wide receiver turned linebacker. Wasn’t recruited by many out of high school so enrolled at Trinity Valley Community College as a receiver out of high school. Transferred to TCU in 2012 after one season at Trinity and was special teams leader in tackles with seven. Played in 12 and started 7 games in 2013 while leading the team with 91 tackles and 10 for losses. Had five 10+ tackle games. Had dominating 2014 campaign leading the team with 136 tackles including 20 for losses and added 4 interceptions on his way to being named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Big 12. Was a wide receiver in high school at Dallas Skyline.

    ANALYSIS
    Strengths
Flexible, agile athlete with good lower-body build. Outstanding instincts. Sees what is happening on the field and senses what is about to happen. Always plays downhill, attacking line of scrimmage. Second-level ghost who is a nightmare for offensive linemen to engage. Instantly unlocks hips and bursts to chase outside. Smooth lateral movement with ability to change direction and mirror running back into the hole. Gets skinny and slips blocks. When blocked, doesn't stay wired to blocks. Chases sideline to sideline. Excels in pass coverage, allowing just 35.7 percent of passes against him to be completed. Tough play demeanor. Plays hard and practices hard.
    Weaknesses
Not a wrap-up tackler and needs work in finishing blocks. Freelances and sometimes lacks discipline to maintain assignments. Instincts of a middle linebacker but likely too small for the position. Has to win with speed over power as a blitzer. Scouts are very worried about his personal character and say he's not beloved within the program. Questions have been raised about his commitment to the process. Not a film studier.
    Sources Tell Us
"He's an early round player without any question, but you don't have to dig around very deep or very long to realize that his personal character is going to be a major issue for some teams. My grade will be two rounds later than just the talent grade. It has to be factored in." -- AFC West regional scout

"I'll make sure he stays alive in our building because he's that good." -- NFC national scout
    NFL Comparison
    Jessie Tuggle
    Bottom Line
Outrageously productive linebacker with a nose for the ball. Dawson averages a tackle every 5.3 snaps and either caused or recovered a total of 8 turnovers during the 2014 season. Evaluators understand that Dawson has been a handful while at TCU and that will turn some teams off to him completely. Dawson can play inside in a 2-gap scheme but is a natural fit at 4-3 WILL.

STRENGTHS: Well-built frame for the position with long limbs. Better athlete than expected with consistent play speed and quick acceleration. Direct angles in pursuit, taking the quickest route from A-to-B. Excellent downhill vision to stay at home and read the play, displaying instincts to sniff out fakes and recognize play designs.

Attacks the line of scrimmage like a charging bull with proper break down technique in space. Sound tackler with a proper strike zone and technique. Will de-cleat ballcarriers with timing and physicality to jar the ball loose (five career forced fumbles). Nose for the ball with opportunistic ballskills to track and attack (12 career interceptions). Emotional leader and not afraid to get into the face of his teammates to praise or coach up. Productive starting experience (41 career starts) as a two-time First Team All-SEC member and 2013 All-American.

WEAKNESSES: Overaggressive tendencies with only average speed. Too many false steps and needs to calm down his eyes and movements, introducing more patience to his play style. Tight hipped and lacks the reflexes and twitch to cover in space. Needs to consistently gain proper depth in coverage, playing too much with his back to the ball ? toasted after a misstep.

Late to react and fill downhill at times with room to improve his angles, struggling to make consistent reads. Needs to improve his take-on technique when near the line of scrimmage. Inexperienced as a blitzer, rarely playing in the box for the Rebels.

[h=3]Player Overview[/h]Prewitt put his name on the national radar after a standout junior campaign, becoming the first All-American safety at Ole Miss since 1973 (Harry Harrison). He arrived in Oxford with little experience at the safety position, but made the quick transition and took advantage of the center field role, using his vantage point to break down the action, dissect route concepts and anticipate where the ball is going to get a jump.

Prewitt has a strong SEC resume with an all-around skill set to play single-high, but his inconsistent backfield vision and shed technique could keep him from lining up near the line of scrimmage.

A four-star recruit out of high school, Prewitt committed to Ole Miss shortly after receiving his offer during the summer before his senior year. He was mostly a reserve as a true freshman in 2011, but did start four games at strong safety and finished with 32 tackles and his first career interception.

Prewitt moved to free safety as a sophomore and started all 13 games, finishing second on the team with 80 tackles and six passes defended. He earned All-American honors as a junior in 2013 with 71 tackles, 13 passes defended and a SEC-best six interceptions, earning First Team All-SEC honors.
Prewitt returned to Oxford for his senior season and started all 13 games, posting 64 tackles, five passes defended and three interceptions, earning First Team All-SEC honors for the second straight year.

CB Eric Rowe is good value here. He comes in to a very young but talented CB core. He will look to compete right away for a starting spot against Darqueze Dennard.

The Cincinnati Bengals, with the 74[SUP]th[/SUP] overall pick in the 2015 GML Draft, select…

    Mississippi State DE Preston Smith

Smith represents a ton of value early in the third. Somewhat symbolic of our entire team, Smith is more substance than flash and further bolsters what is arguably the top defensive line in the GML.

Capable of playing in a 4-3 or 3-4, Smith (6-6/270) put it all together in 2013 and finished his college career with 134 tackles, 27 TFL and 16 sacks (15 TFL, 9 sacks in 2014). With three proven pass rushers – Carlos Dunlap, Jarred Allen and Ryan Davis – already in the fold, Smith is an ideal complement and should push for immediate playing time. He is an every-down player and has the ability to move inside in passing situations.

Has received comparisons to Malik Jackson and Antonio Smith.

    Overview

At this point in the draft, it’s all about maximizing value. It’s always a win-win when you can fill a need while also drafting the guy you feel is the best player available. That’s the approach we took in drafting Laken Tomlinson.

Tomlinson is a great story if you look into his background a little bit – he and his family grew up poor in Jamaica before immigrating to the United States, and he didn’t even play football until he was a freshman in high school. So when you evaluate him, you see that he’s certainly already an NFL caliber lineman, but what’s scary is that he’s got an extremely high ceiling. That’s because not only is he still somewhat raw, but he’s a guy that’s willing to work his *** off to improve.

    We really like this guy.

Here’s Marc Trestman with a little bit more information.

    Strengths / Weaknesses

    Courtesy of CBS Sports.

STRENGTHS: NFL body type with thick hips and massive upper body. Rolls his hips to generate pop and move bodies at the point of attack, using his lower body strength to drive block in the run game. Stout frame, not an easy player to put on his heels and rarely caught moving in reverse. Adequate set up quickness with aggressive hands off the snap. Uses his eyes well to pick up twists and extra rushers, clearly displaying a high football IQ. Conscious effort to keep his knees bent and pad level low, something that appears to come natural to him. Physically and mentally tough and gives consistently high effort from snap-to-snap. Senior captain and four-year starter at right guard and very reliable. High character human being who won't take shortcuts and has a proven work ethic.

WEAKNESSES: Clunky in a crowd with tight hips. Limited mobility and range, struggling with consistency at the second level and not doing much outside of a few feet at the line of scrimmage. Stops his feet too often and ends up falling off blocks and on the ground, struggling to sustain with his limited arm length, especially in space. Tardy mirror skills and too often caught off balance and hunched at the waist and needs to be more of a consistent knee bender. Struggles to counter interior rush moves and needs to better anticipate pressures pre-snap. All of his experience has come at right guard with questionable versatility to line up at other positions on the line
