Not positive but I don't think his issue was head injuries, I think he tore up his knee or something. Still. I'm speechless.

But his reason was head injuries. Yes Borland would still be drafted however guys with head injuries likely have a less of a shot now at getting drafted.

...moving on... Packers are happy to announce the signing of LB Craig Robertson to the team. Sir Walter Football had him rated the 2nd best at ILB in this free agent class. Pretty solid starter. And I'd like to remind everyone that Clay Matthews is still on the block.

The Bucs would like to welcome returning CB Leonard Johnson!
Johnson, 24, got the majority of snaps as our NCB last year, finishing 11th on the team with 42 tackles. He will compete for the starting NCB position alongside AJ Bouye, behind Talib and Verner as the premier corners on our team.

I won't match if anyone wants Dunbar (no comp) in the tenders thread. Got to probably shave a bit of room for comp picks as it is.

Less than $6,000,000 for a well-rounded, 26 year old, two time Pro Bowler, that will be ready for training camp regardless of whether he needs surgery or not. I would make that bid again without thinking twice.

I take care of athletes for a living...back surgeries are not something i want one of my players going through. It;s almost as unreliable as shoulder surgeries.

Doesn't sound like surgery is a foregone conclusion. I wouldn't want my players going through any type of surgery, but it happens. We are lucky to be in the age of modern medicine though. Surgery is becoming more and more reliable, predicable, and recoveries are faster. Hell ACL's used to end careers and now the healing time is about 9 months; Manning had neck surgery and put together a hell of a year in 2013 at 37 years of age. Again, I'd play that price over and over for Gresham.

He fumbled 3 times this year, losing 0 of them. A lot of the times he would fumble the ball fighting like hell for an extra yard or two; I'd rather have a guy like that than someone that is going to go down easy. Remember the effect Moreno had on the attitude of our team when he would fight hard for those extra yards? It fuels other players to give it their all.

Also he has improved in catching the ball drastically from his early years. He dropped only 1 ball this season.

Packers would like to announce the signing of Tim Tebow to the football team. He doesn't really have a position on the football field. Although, He will have a big role OFF the football field this year. He'll follow Dez Bryant around to make sure he doesn't get into any.... problems. If Dez wants to go to Walmart in his Bentley, Tim is going to ride shotgun. Because nothing bad happens when Tim Tebow is around... well nothing off the field. Tebow will also not be given the #15 as it was retired. He actually won't be given a number at all... or a jersey... or a helmet for that matter. But He will be allowed to run up and down the sideline in a morale boosting fashion and when the Packers score, He'll be allowed to jump into the stands and the fans will get to embrace Him.

If Aaron Rodgers should get hurt this season, Tebow will perform a miracle and cure Rodgers of all his ailments. As a result, Aaron will not be missing any games. It's really worth the $510 minimum salary to have Tebow around.

Houston Texans welcome their latest FA signings:

CB - Patrick Robinson - The former 1st round pick will compete with Joseph and Banks for snaps, could see some time in the slot
OLB - Brooks Reed - was brought back to the Texans as a versatile LB who can play both ILB and OLB, better against the run Reed can be moved around in Crennel's defensive scheme

Jets are happy to add DT Tyrunn Walker to a very good Defensive Line rotation. Walker, who graded out +8.0 overall, will mostly start opposite the underrated but excellent run stuffer Damon Harrison. We're happy to have two young, emerging DTs to anchor our line along with Ratliff to rush the passer and Brent Urban as depth/project player.

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced today the signing of offensive tackle Babatunde Aiyegbusi, an undrafted free-agent tackle, who never played college ball but most recently spent time in the Polish American Football League and the German Football League.

Listed at 6-foot-9 and 351 pounds, Aiyegbusi, whose name is pronounced bah-BUH-tune-day ah-YEG-boo-see, caught the eye of Jacksonville's scouts during a pro day workout Monday at the University of Texas-San Antonio, which led to a workout at the team's facilities.

Coach Shurmur was quoted as saying " he's big, i mean really big"

The Cincinnati Bengals would like to announce the signing of DT/NT John Hughes.

Hughes, who played college ball at Cincinnati and grew up in Columbus, took a hometown discount of $510,000, a significant pay reduction from what he recently signed for outside the GML (4 years, $14 mil). Hughes, 25, has emerged as one of the better run-stuffers around. At 6-2, 320, his size will be utilized as he'll work primarily in sub packages and in short-yardage situations.

Battled injuries last year but was extremely productive in his 212 snaps, finishing with a PFF grade of +5.2. Ended the season with a 7-tackle performance Baltimore, showing a glimpse of what he can do when healthy. He should be a nice compliment to starters Kawann Short and Muhammad Wilkerson.
