somebody posted that the phins were interested in Michael Crabbtree and nothing ever came of it ,so are the dolphins going to bring in a wr or not ? by signing a vet wr it enables Miami to draft linebackers with the first two picks and hopefully we can draft two olinemen late in the draft. of course if Miami drafts a receiver in round 1 I wont object at all . we are just 4 weeks away from the draft so I am kind of surprised that there isn't any talk about Michael Crabbtree I hope that this coming draft is a really good draft but I fear with Philbin still the head coach we will probaly have a subpar draft. what about running backs will we add a running back through the draft ?
With how deep the draft is at The running back position it would be a shame if we didn't get one, we can either go all in with Gordon, or wait a bit and pair Miller up with a kid with hi upside and intangibles like Josh Robinson..I would be very happy with that kid alongside Miller and the continued development of Damien Williams.
You think our drafting has been subpar because of Philbin? I'm sure he has influence but at the end of the day it's the GM's call. I'm surprised so many people give Ireland a free pass and would put any blame on Philbin for Irelands horrible personnel decisions.
On the one hand I thought he was a good fit and wanted to see him signed, but on the other I'm glad to see the team holding fast to its appraisals of players' values with regard to their salary cap hits. Those principles have to steer a team in today's NFL, and shouldn't be surrendered lightly.
Enough for him to go to the team he mocked after the draft..... Guess money is the only thing that matters to Crabtree because the Raiders haven't improved much since they passed on him.
I think there's a better chance that we sign Greg Jennings. My guess is that we'll try to draft Amari Cooper, Kevin White, or DeVante Parker. And if that doesn't happen, then we'll sign Greg Jennings after the draft.
Good news about Raiders signing him, looks like they wont be going with white or a wr so this could ensure a top 3 wr falls to us.
I'm glad. I was really turned off by his 2014 tape. He's one of those guys that if he participated in that new Veteran's Combine they have, you might see run a 4.7 or 4.8. He looked tight end slow in 2014.
Really glad we didn't sign him. Even happier it's the Raiders that signed him. Hopefully they'll focus on a different position at #4.
