First of all, he quotes rotoworld as if that is some significant thing or evaluating body.

Secondly, the offseason is far from over, so acting like we haven't shored up depth yet, is stupid.

Lastly, he's just trying to convince himself that the nightmares he's having of Suh ripping off Brady's head aren't really gonna happen.

I didn't think it was "interesting," I thought it was typical Patriots homer speak. Talk to me when the season starts if we haven't added enough depth by then.

Insert gif of Suh trying to break Cutler in half because he's in a subconscious kill mode once the ball is snapped..

I'm not joking when I say I legitimately worry for Brady's safety..

They better implement their quick passing game..

Other than the interior line thing. College was worse than Dallas Thomas last season.

I felt his points were bad. On the pessimist side, however Miami is riding a lot on Suh, they did lose Clay when they could have kept him if they were more aggressive and Landry is the only productive receiver coming back on the offense.

I thought he was accurate in pointing out the weaknesses of the team. Don't give me the offseason isn't over, we still have the draft etc, 31 other teams can say the same thing.

Depth will be an issue, experience too. A lot of unproven players will be counted on this year, the coaches better be on their grind. I'm frankly surprised (and refreshed) by the overall level of optimism given the general consensus on how bad Philbin's staff is.

I do disagree with this point. The offseason isn't over and there can still be a lot of moves.

I also disagree with the original article on how he made predictions for next season.

Yeah, uh, the offseason ISN'T over. We DO have the draft still. Dolphins' fans must be some of the most overreactive fans in sports.

A common misconception among fans is that being a fan of a better team automatically makes that fan more knowledgeable of what makes a team good. I honestly dont give a **** what this rando says.

Youre right, but I disagree w the idea that we'll be gaining a significant advantage over other teams in the next couple months via personel moves. At this point player development, coaching up the guys already on the roster is far more important than any clearance rack FAs who could potentially be brought in. As for the draft, again, the other teams will also be allowed to participate so no big advantage there lol.

    That is fair enough.

I do think Miami does have enough time to get adequate depth

Some people seem to think that "having depth" means having Pro-Bowl quality players backing up Pro Bowl quality players. Even though that's a ridiculous notion. By definition, backups are not going to be as good as the starters (generally speaking), which is why they're backups to begin with. If your starters go down, you're generally screwed.

The comments about Philpin were not from him, they were from another source that had him rated dead last as a head coach.

I will wait to judge the entire roster once the draft is completed and additional veterans are added after the draft and prior to the regular season start.
As far as this Patriots fans comments regarding Tannebaum depleting the teams depth is concerned. Perhaps he missed the fact that the Dolphins had terrible depth the past few seasons and that was clearly shown most every time a starter was out of the game.

When Tannebaum was hired I was not convinced it was a good hire. He basically left the Jets in cap hell and he didn't do a very good job as the Jets GM the last few years he was in that position with the Jets.

As the Dolphins head of football operations I am certainly willing to see how this team performs over the next 2-3 years before judging his abilities in this position. To me he is still a big question mark, but for now he gets the benefit of the doubt from me.

As far as the statements concerning Philbin goes. I agree with them 100%. I think Ross bringing Philbin back for 2015 is the worst thing he could have done. I think Philbin is a below average head coach who will once again fail to lead this team to a winning record.

With Philbin still the head coach, I have already accepted that this coming season will probably be another 8-8 season, with the Dolphins finishing third in the AFC East for the third year in a row. I think with a competent head coach this could possibly be a playoff team, but with Philbin, he will continue to find ways to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. I have zero confidence in his head coaching ability and unfortunately it would not surprise me in the least if many of the players on the team don't feel the same way about Philbins lack of ability as their head coach.

    The writer isn't too informed.

"they don't have the receivers to take advantage of the Patriots secondary; they don't have the offensive line to take advantage of the Patriots defensive interior; they don't have a coach that can match Bill Belichick."

Does he mean the secondary that left and the defensive interior that's also gone? lol... What secondary and defensive interior is he referring to?

It's always refreshing to hear what the other team's opinion is.

What they Don't know is that we have incredible depth due to our coaches reticence to start the most talented players. So there...except our o-line, they still are less inspiring than Philbin himself.

And yeah, we've got more turnover than a Denny's in Yemen...

We are one of the youngest teams in the league with the moves we've made and aside from Clay and Starks we've lost nothing but dead weight. And at Clays price tag I'm ok with losing him in lieu of Cameron who's is absolutely a better receiver; he just needs a qb who won't get him killed (which he'd never have in Cleveland). This article is written entirely on subjectivity with little to no fact based evidence and was a terrible waste of time.

The facts are we added Stills for a scrub and a 3rd.
We added Suh to strengthen the run d and bring some attitude to a team team that needs a swift kick in the chops :nutkick:
    Philbin does suck
And we are giving some of our younger players who flashed more of an opportunity. Guys like Chris McCain, Anthony Johnson, Jordan Tripp, etc will now have to step up. This is precisely how a team is built. You can't sign Suh types at all positions but you can try and develop starters and that's exactly what makes franchises like the Pats and Packers successful. The knucklehead who wrote the article doesn't even recognize the model we are following even when it slaps him in the face.
Lastly, the wr's we lost, we lost them for a reason. Whether I like Wallace (I do) and Hartline and Gibson is besides the point. We felt they were overpaid or poor fits. Good bye. Ryan Tannehill is our qb and the offense revolves around him now. This is a good thing IMO.
