With pick 118 of the 2015 GML draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers are proud to select...

    Donovan Smith, OL, Penn State!!!

We've followed Donovan's career for some time (much like we did with his teammate Jesse James), and are happy to be able to add someone with his talent and versatility at this point in the draft. A 3yr starter at LT, Smith showed at the SR Bowl that he's capable of being one of the top OL in the draft. He backed it up further with a solid combine performance for a man his size. We believe he can play any spot on the OL (except C) and excel. We'd like to keep him on the left side however, and long term his position will likely be taking over at LG as we feel our LT spot is already locked up for many years, but it is always good to have a quality backup LT. We are not planning for Smith to come in right away and start, but he may earn the job. Right now, we'd want to focus on refining his technique and molding his 21 yr old frame into a professional's body.

With pick 4.120 the Indianapolis Colts select

    RT/RG Daryl Williams, Oklahoma

The 6'5 330 Williams is a bulldozer in the ground game and draws comparisons to another Oklahoma right tackle, Phil Loadholt. After witnessing his contribution to Samaje Perine's 408 yard record-setting day, the Colts are excited to interject his smash mouth presence upon an o-line desperately in need of a boost in physicality. Williams will likely join AJ Cann at guard in year 1 and then move to RT in 2016. #BigPlayOpportunities4Spiller&Coleman

Pick 121 in the draft Panthers select, Sean Mannion, QB, Oregon St.

After a 4,662 yard 66.3% completion % 37 TDs in junior season, he took a small step back with virtually no help on offense.

At 6'5 230 Mannion has prototypical size and we are excited for him to be able to learn behind Newton.

With the 125th overall selection, the New England Patriots select
    Arie Kouandjio
    [IMG]

    School: Alabama | Position: OL | Experience: Senior | Height: 6-5 | Weight: 310

    OVERVIEW:
We felt that we could go value at pick #125 by selecting one of the best remaining offensive linemen in the draft. While the medical issues are a concern, the reward outweighs the risk here in the late fourth round. Kouandjio has the size, strength, quickness, and intensity to become a major contributor in the NFL. While Kouandjio will not instantly start on the New England squad, he will battle it out with 2014 fourth round selection, Cameron Fleming, as the team's swing tackle. The depth chart is a little crowded at guard but expect Kouandjio's versatility to work for him rather than against him.

    STRENGTHS:
    • Good build for the position with broad shoulders, thick trunk and a wide base.
    • Extends well.
    • Limits space between rushers and his body, leveraging at the line of scrimmage.
    • Rises out of his stance at consistent pad level with knee-bend to sink his hips and punch his target.
    • Active hands to latch-and-drive, steer defenders out of the play and generating movement.
    • Seeks contact.
    • Always looking for someone to hit.
    • Good phone-booth quickness with coordinated feet.
    • Strong initial push.
    • Flips his body to cut off defenders and seal run lanes.
    • Intensity level doesn't change from snap-to-snap.
    • Intelligent.
    • Physically and mentally resilient.
    • Started 27 consecutive games at left guard in the SEC.
    WEAKNESSES:
    • Comes with some technical flaws and medical questions.
    • Just as likely to be last off the ball as he is to be first.
    • Limited in tight spaces laterally and tries to use his open body to create all lanes.
    • Has some hip and knee stiffness redirecting.
    • Bad habit of overextending himself.
    • Doesn't always see pressure.
    • Serious medical concerns after multiple knee surgeries to both knees.

With the 127th pick of the 2015 GML Gangbang, the Seattle Seahawks select..

    TE Wes Saxton, South Alabama!

I know, we took an offensive player finally, shocking right? Saxton has been one of our primary targets since the get go. He had a very subpar season due to injuries and erratic QB play but is a gifted athlete (or ATH-A-LEET as some say) and ripped off the top 40 time at the position. With Green entrenched as the top tightend and Doyle as the #2, Saxton will not be thrown into the fire but instead used when necessary given his potential as a serious receiving threat.

With the first compensatory selection in the fourth round, the New York Giants select . . . Martrell Spaight, Outside Linebacker, University of Arkansas.

    From CBSSports.com

STRENGTHS: Shorter than ideal but possesses a compact, well-developed frame. Reacts quickly once he locates the football, showing impressive burst to slip through traffic and very good closing speed. Light on his feet and balanced, making Spaight an effective open-field tackler who can deliver a pop and force the ball out (two forced fumbles in 2014). Flexible, coordinated athlete who scrapes the edge cleanly. Developing recognition for coverage but reacts well to the ball when in position, showing good hand-eye coordination to slap it away as the receiver attempts to pull it in. Speed and aggression project well to the NFL, especially on special teams or as a chase linebacker. Raw athleticism worthy of developing.

WEAKNESSES: Lack of experience is obvious on tape. Takes false-steps as he diagnoses the action and will occasionally run himself out of the play. Aggressive towards the ball, sometimes taking risky pursuit angles that leave the defense vulnerable to cutback lanes. Frequently caught out of position in coverage, getting caught looking back to the quarterback and losing his receiver downfield. Size limitations make him strictly a 4-3 candidate. Doesn't shirk from contact but can be overwhelmed by blockers when they get into his chest.

    --Rob Rang

    Player Overview
After starting just twice and playing in a total of nine games in 2013 following his transfer from Coffeyville Community College, Spaight exploded as a senior to record 123 tackles over the regular season for the Razorbacks, nearly double the production of any other Arkansas defender.

Spaight's breakout performance earned him an invitation to the 2015 Senior Bowl and one of the fastest rising defensive prospects in the country.

Fast is the operative word with Spaight. While undersized and still a work in progress in terms of his instincts and technique, Spaight possesses impressive closing speed that could help him make an impression on special teams and ultimately compete as a weakside linebacker in a 4-3 alignment.

With the second compensatory pick of the 4th round, pick 4COB, the Green Bay Packers select:

RB from Florida State, Karlos Williams!

    [video=youtube;7F_AP6G4jlE]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F_AP6G4jlE[/video]

At six foot 1, 230 pounds, Karlos has the size and speed (4.48) pro personnel executives covet out of the tailback position. Yes, there have been some off field issues that have no doubt hurt his draft stock. But on the field, I see the third best running back in this draft. Now, I like to think I'm pretty good at scouting running backs. Some of you may recall me taking Arian Foster in the 7th round or Isaiah Crowell last year in the 6th round. Both of those guys had some off field incidents that dropped them down in the draft. But their ability on the field is what I noticed. Same thing with Karlos. This guy can be a stud if he gets his head on straight. He's got great hands out of the backfield, so he can be that all around back. He's got the power and speed to take any carry the distance. While he's developing his pro game, being a former safety, he's going to be a menace on special teams (check the video at the end!).

Of course, the Packers brass would never take a player like this in the draft. But this year, I'm in charge. I made some offseason acquisitions they would never make. Brought in Dez Bryant... Brought in Khalil Mack. It's been very busy here in Packer land. Something Packer fans are not accustomed to.

HoustonTexans select with the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] compensatory pick in the 4[SUP]th[/SUP]round of the 2015 Draft grab their second Sooner:

Tyrus Thompson – OT / Oklahoma

    School: Oklahoma | Position: OL | Experience:Senior | Height: 6-5 | Weight: 324lbs

Overview: Thompson had a good year for Oklahoma. Heblocked well in the ground game and was reliable as a pass-protector. Thompsoncould stand to improve his pass protection against speed rushers and hisability to play in space. Sources say that for the 2014 NFL Draft, Thompsonreceived a second-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board.

Thompson could develop into a left tackle in the NFL, butcould end up being more effective at guard or right tackle. He has teamsquestioning his work ethic and desire. Thompson didn't work out at the Combine.

STRENGTHS: Thick lower half and tree trunks forthighs. Good initial quickness, agility and balance for his size. Improvedfunctional strength as a senior, playing with better knee-bend and patiencethan he did as a part-time starter, long arms and broad frame effective inrunning game and pass pro. Extensive experience at the left tackle positionagainst some of the nation's elite pass rushers in the Big 12.

WEAKNESSES: Lacks overwhelming strength and is tooeasily bullied on his heels, not effectively extending and utilizing his reach.Might be the ideal right tackle and NFL speed could be an issue. Tends to getgrabby with late hands and reactions. Must eliminate mental mistakes to be aconsistent edge blocker.

    --Dane Brugler and Rob Rang

    NFL Comparison: King Dunlap

Bottom Line: Thompson has NFL size and flashes NFLpotential, but he doesn't play with the consistency or effort that NFL scoutswant to see from him. There will be teams that drop his grade due to footballcharacter, but tackles that have traits and upside usually get drafted earlierthan their draft grades call for.

RPG's Notes: Thomson will more than likely spend his first season in Houston backing up Duane Brown and his future may be at RT or even a move inside to Guard should second year pro Su-A-Filo struggle at LG

Houston Texans select with the 129th pick in the 2015 Draft:

    Gerod Holliman – S / Louisville
    [IMG]

    School: Louisville | Position: FS | Experience:Junior | Height: 6-0 | Weight: 218lbs

Overview: Holliman has been ranked as high as 2[SUP]nd[/SUP]best safety prospect by Walter Football or 4[SUP]th[/SUP] best Safety as perCBS Sports.
Most expected that the Louisville Cardinals would strugglereplacing 2014 first-round pick Calvin Pryor at safety. Instead, Hollimanexploded for an FBS-leading 14 interceptions, tying an NCAA record set 46 yearsago and taking home the Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive over thelikes of Alabama's Landon Collins and Oregon's Ifo Ekpre-Olomu.

While Holliman's ball-hawking redshirt junior campaigndeserves acknowledgment, it doesn't necessarily make him a highly regarded NFLprospect. Holliman possesses awareness, agility and hands - traits thatcertainly project well at safety in today's pass-happy NFL. He also sports arelatively slight frame, however, and shows questionable angles and techniqueas a tackler.

STRENGTHS: Possesses a compact, well-proportionedframe and isn't afraid to leave his feet to deliver a pop. Good vision andawareness of the play. Flies up field in run support and gets a jump on theball right out of the quarterback's hand, putting himself in position to makeplays.

Good hand-eye coordination and body control to make thetough interception. Loose hips to change directions fluidly and understandsroute progressions, aiding his jump on the ball. Looks to deliver big hits whenhe senses that opponents aren't expecting it; getting in pops on receivers crossingthe middle, would-be blockers and to knock ball carriers out of bounds.

WEAKNESSES: Unreliable tackler due to inconsistentangles and technique as a hitter. Can flash from across the field to record theimpressive tackle for loss but takes risky angles, leaving himself and histeammates vulnerable to cut-backs from the ball carrier.

Drops his shoulder into ball carriers occasionally todeliver the emphatic knockdown but doesn't wrap his arms securely and thereforesome of his attempts slide off.

    --Rob Rang

    NFL Comparison: JairusByrd

Bottom Line: One-year starter at free safety, postingoutrageous ball-production numbers. While Byrd is the NFL comparison from aball-skills standpoint, Holliman doesn't show Byrd's fire or competitiveness. Afeast or famine free safety whose lack of field discipline will be more heavilyexploited in the NFL, Holliman's ball skills and instincts will surely exciteteams, even though his rumored lack of football character could sabotage the talent.

    [video=youtube;xPktF5oA0kw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPktF5oA0kw&feature=player_detailpage[/video]

RPG's Notes: Holliman will likely back up Free Agent signing Duke Williams at the FS position but possesses ball hawking ability that could have him on the field sooner than expect in his NFL career.

With the 130th selection in the draft, the Chicago Bears select; RB Javorius Allen, USC

Player Breakdown, courtesy of CBS Sports

"Buck" Allen entered the 2013 season with just six carries to his credit but emerged as Southern Cal's most dependable back, eclipsing the 100-yard mark four times and scoring a total of 12 touchdowns in their final six games.
Allen remained the lead dog with Steve Sarkisian taking over the program in 2014, earning All-Pac-12 first-team honors with 1,489 rushing yards all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns. The well-built redshirt junior proved a reliable blocker and receiver out of backfield, finishing third on the team with 41 grabs for 458 yards and another score. While Allen's production is impressive, he certainly was surrounded by a great deal of talent at Southern Cal, not the least of which was a massive offensive line, a savvy quarterback in Cody Kessler and big-play receivers which kept defenses from crowding the line of scrimmage. Allen is a classic slasher whose ability to zip through gaps and into the open field makes him a threat to gain chunk yardage on each carry. He's far from just a outside running threat, showing the forward lean and leg drive to pick up the tough yards inside.

HoustonTexans select with the 131st pick in the 2015 Draft:

Corey Robinson – OT / South Carolina
    [IMG]

    School: South Carolina | Position: OT | Experience:Senior | Height: 6-7 | Weight: 324lbs

Overview: After initially splitting time between theoffensive and defensive lines over his first two seasons with the Gamecocks,Robinson emerged as the team's starting left tackle in 2012 and never lookedback, starting 35 of the next 36 games there. He was overshadowed a bit byAll-SEC guard AJ Cann but is a legitimate NFL prospect in his own right, thoughhe isn't one without limitations.

Robinson's lack of ideal foot speed and balance as a passprotector mean that he won't be competing for future Pro Bowls at left tackle. He very likely will be moving to the right side or perhaps even to guard in theNFL, in fact. However, his combination of size, strength and surprisingathleticism project well to a power-based NFL offense. Potentially available inthe middle rounds, Robinson could provide a club impressive value, competingrelatively early in his career for a starting role

STRENGTHS: Robinson is surprisingly coordinated givenhis massive frame. He extends his left leg deep behind him to help protect theedge, making him more effective against speed rushers than he might appear"on the hoof." Robinson has long arms and good upper body strength tolatch onto opponents and settles nicely, showing good lateral agility tomirror. He shows good quickness when releasing to block at the second level, aswell as the coordination to adjust to moving targets.
WEAKNESSES: While more athletic than he looks,Robinson is not a dancing bear. He does not possess the burst to recover ifbeaten off the snap and will allow his hands to get outside of his opponents'numbers, which will draw holding calls at the NFL level. At times, Robinsonover-extends in pass protection, leaving himself vulnerable to counters backinside. He was certainly aided by South Carolina's talented runners and mobilequarterbacks over his career.
    NFL Comparison: John Jerry
    [IMG]

Bottom Line: Hulking tackle, but needs to do more with it.Doesn't have the kick-slide to consistently get out to meet speed off the edge, and when faced with inside moves, he struggles to move feet and secure the gap.Foot quickness could benefit if he trimmed down, but a move inside could beconsidered if teams feel like he can play with enough bend.

RPG’s Notes: Robinson is a work in progress and themassive man will likely be moved inside to guard to help the Texans punishingrun game, we like the fact that he can play both Tackle and Guard

    OVERVIEW:
Attended Grant High School in Sacramento, Calif. Was named to the High School All-American team and voted to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Ranked No. 9 safety coming out of high school. Signed with Washington. Suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery in 2011. Played in just five games over first two seasons at Washington. Transferred to American River Junior College for one season before transferring to Louisville to play for Bobby Petrino. In his one season at Louisville, he posted 90 tackles (74 solo), with four interceptions. High school friend and teammate of University of Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson.

    STRENGTHS:
    • Plays with good pursuit speed in chasing the the ball from sideline to sideline. Muscular, well-defined box safety. Proficient tackler in space. Gets downhill quickly and comes ready to tackle. Has a nose for the ball, with 74 solo tackles and four interceptions during 2014 season. Willing to range outside of his area in zone coverage, if he has no coverage targets, in order to try and make a play.
    • Looks the part of an NFL safety with broad shoulders, long limbs and a thicker build than his listed size suggests. Uses his length and strength effectively to fight through blocks near the line of scrimmage and catch ballcarriers, showing enough power and grit to drag them to the ground. Good hand-eye coordination and timing to compete for 50-50 balls. Shows good hands to pluck the ball outside of his frame.
    • Compares to Bernard Pollard

    WEAKNESSES:
    • Has only one season as a full-time starter with relatively few reps under his belt from his days at Washington. Overreacts to play fakes, putting himself into precarious coverage shape. Instincts and awareness in coverage are lacking. Relies on reading receiver rather than checking in more frequently on quarterback's eyes. Sits and waits for running backs to bring it to him rather than exploding into them head-on. Needs more experience to improve in coverage.

    GM SAYS:

    BOTTOM LINE:
In a class of safeties with few hitters, James Sample, stands out. He has the build to hold up in the NFL right now and has the mentality of a fighter in the box. He has good athleticism too, and can play with enough range on underrate and over-the-top routes to make an impact. Sample is a clear top-100 player and a potential rookie starter - impressive considering he was a one-year starter at Louisville.

    From NFL.com

    Strengths
Yet another Georgia Tech receiver with great length. Plays to his height. Gathers himself and boxes out defenders on fades and jump balls. Uses long arms and gets on his ladder to sky over cornerbacks and high point throws. Effortless strider with untapped vertical speed to go yard. Plus body control. Usually gets two feet in bounds on sideline throws. Plucks the ball with extended hands. Doesn't fear hits from safeties. Almost impossible to guard on back-shoulder throws. Confident and competitive when the ball is in the air.

    Weaknesses
Will lose speed when turning to locate ball. Shield blocker in run game, giving very modest effort by Georgia Tech standards. Raw route runner with limited exposure to complex routes. Rounds off in-breaking and out routes. Needs improved understanding of leverage and how to create separation with it. Allows smaller cornerbacks to crowd him. Forced just two pass-interference calls over the last two seasons. Limited production and targets over career.

    NFL Comparison
    Brian Quick

    Bottom Line
Late bloomer who is faster than quick and has coveted size-speed combination. Waller isn't just a tall receiver, he has legitimate hands and body control and can impose his size on mismatched cornerbacks. Waller has a low floor, but with a little more competitive fire and technique work, he could become a legitimate touchdown maker in the league.

CB Doran Grant, THE Ohio State

    - So do we let him carry the coach's flag or just let him collect his own? You know it's going to happen.
    - Claimed to run a 4.32 Forty. Still lacks the physical tools of Rico Dynamite and the production of Al Bundy.
    - Bradley Roby was a good player opposite him, so there's that.
    - It says something when we have to use a Roby gif.

Pro Comparison: Marty Jannetty - His partner was better. You'd think you'd feel bad about the guy going through the barbershop window, but the victim isn't a HOFer so who cares.

What you didn't draft Dorian Gray? How about I wanted THE faster corner, THE taller corner, you are THE failure. If I wanted a Nickel Back, I would have gotten Silver Side Up.

    OVERVIEW:
After redshirting in 2010, Bell became a starter by the third game of the 2011 season and became the second ever freshman to lead the team in receiving with 32 catches for 461 yards and three scores. Bell again led the Huskers in receiving as a sophomore in 2012 and set career-bests in receiving yards (863) and touchdown catches (8), collecting Second Team All-Big Ten honors. He set a personal-best in catches (52) as a junior in 2013, adding 577 receiving yards and four scores. Bell led the Huskers in receiving for the fourth straight season in 2014 with 47 receptions for 788 yards and six touchdowns as a senior, earning First Team All-Big Ten honors. Nebraska’s all-time leading receiver, Bell holds several school records, including career catches (181) and receiving yards (2,689), which is especially impressive considering the quarterbacks he played with the last four seasons.

    STRENGTHS:
    • Quick-footed athlete with strong plant-and-go acceleration. Shows the route speed to stack corners vertically with an extra gear downfield. Nice job breaking off his route and getting open, working soft zones. Very alert and instinctive player with high football IQ. Competitive at the catch point with the tracking skills to adjust to off-target throws. Stronger than he looks with admirable toughness. Above average blocker and focuses on the details, sustaining and welcoming contact. Reliable on special teams coverages to close and break down in space. Experienced as a kick returner, averaging 25.0 yards per return in college (51/1,277/1). Mature and outspoken personality and a positive locker room presence. Consistently productive and led the Huskers in receiving the last four seasons. NFL bloodlines as his father (Ken) played four seasons (1986-89) for the Denver Broncos.
    • Compares to Nate Washington

    WEAKNESSES:
    • Wiry body type with lean muscle tone, thin pegs and skinny wrists. Doesn't have the growth potential to bulk up. Can be re-routed and too easily slowed in his routes, lacking the strength to work off press or routinely overpower defenders. Lacks ideal hand size and will fight the ball at times, leading to drops and muffed returns. Needs to add oil to his joints, appearing too mechanical in his movements. Highly aggressive blocker, but tends to get grabby and will attract holding calls. Lack of size and build leads to durability concerns.

    GM SAYS:

    BOTTOM LINE:
Lanky, vertical wide receiver with a second gear. He likes to lull cornerbacks to sleep before hitting the gas and getting over the top of them for big plays. Bell is a little more straight-lined than some teams are looking for, but with reliable hands and an ability to make plays on the ball down the field, he has starter's traits as a potential No. 2 WR in the league.

HoustonTexans select with the 144th pick in the 2015 Draft:

Stefon Diggs – WR / Maryland
    [IMG]

    School: Maryland | Position: OT | Experience:Junior | Height: 6-0 | Weight: 195lbs

Overview: Selected second-team All-Big Ten in 2014.Started 10 games, but missed three with a lacerated kidney that he playedthrough in the immediate aftermath of suffering the injury. Suspended for firstof the three games he missed after making contact with an official prior toPenn State game when a tussle ensued after Maryland's team captains wouldn'tshake the hands of Penn State's captains. He missed six games in 2013 with abroken right fibula. Selected second-team All-ACC return specialist in 2012 andfinished second to Duke's Jamison Crowder for ACC Rookie of the Year. As afreshman he tallied 1,896 all-purpose yards, which were second most in a singleseason in school history. Highly celebrated, consensus five-star recruit fromGood Counsel High School (Md.) and U.S. Army All-American. Diggs was coached in2014 by former NFL wide receiver Keenan McCardell.

STRENGTHS: Fluid, flexible athlete. Five-star recruitwho stayed home to help build local program. Instinctive route runner does anoutstanding job of sinking his hips and exploding out of breaks to createimmediate separation, natural ball-plucker. Excellent body control to adjust tothrows, whether they're low, high or behind him, can make contested catches andis dynamic and dangerous with the ball in his hands. Sudden once he's in space, using head fakes and impressive lateral change of direction to make multipledefenders miss. Instant acceleration is his differentiator from the slot.Played through a lacerated kidney he sustained against Penn State and finishedthe game. Can be immediate kick returner in the league, 25.8 kick return averagein college.

WEAKNESSES: Most of his production came from slot oras outside receiver in space. Must prove he can win as route runner againstquality cornerbacks. Play strength is below par, gets muscled around byphysical defenders. Very aware of oncoming traffic and will stop routes toavoid big hits. Gives moderate effort as a blocker, but rarely ends up gettinghis man blocked. He had season-ending injuries two years in a row (broken legand lacerated kidney). Was suspended onegame for his actions in pregame dustup vs. Penn State.

    NFL Comparison: Harry Douglas

Bottom Line: Doesn'tpossess the strength or long speed to make a living as an outside receiver, buthe can be an extremely effective weapon from the slot as a pro, turning shortthird-down throws into first downs. Diggs can make things happen when he hasthe ball in his hands and could become a consistent, productive weapon for theright offensive coordinator.
    [video=youtube;uYxFESYGYvY]https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=uYxFESYGYvY[/video]

    RPG’s Notes:
We look to bring Diggs in to compete fora starting job returning kicks and will join Keshawn Martin and Tony Lippett inthe competition for the slot receiver role.

With pick 145, the Cincinnati Bengals select Louisville OG/C John Miller.

We went BPA here, taking a polished, proven lineman capable of providing depth along the interior of our line.

Miller (6-2, 303) is a four-year starter and a straight-up bad ***. There were a few other interior linemen we liked here, but none played with the same edge as this Miami native. Capable of playing either guard spot or center, Miller’s versatility was also a big reason why we took him here. The interior of our line is already set, but we wanted a swing guard to add to the mix in case of injuries.

Here’s a scouting a report, courtesy of CBS Sports, and a video in which the man narrating it is pointing Miller out with a straw and yells “boom.” Because that’s how we scout players in Cincinnati.

[h=3]Strengths Weaknesses[/h] STRENGTHS: Thick upper and lower body with good length. Flexible lower body with consistent knee-bend. Quick initial movements off the snap with adequate lateral shuffle. Generates good power from his hips. Anchors and re-setting to stay stout at the point of attack. Meat cleavers for hands with a quick, heavy punch to initiate contact and toss bodies. Can shift his weight to combo block with smooth hip action. Goes in motion, pulling to make plays away from the line of scrimmage. Mean streak -- looks to destroy his target. Four-year starter (46 career starts) with experience at both guard positions.WEAKNESSES: Overextends himself and will fall off-balance, lunge and rely on his upper body to get the job done. Quick off the snap, but slows and lacks the foot agility to recover. Allows rushers to cross his face and needs to improve his reaction quickness. Inconsistent rolling his hips at contact to drive his man instead of stopping his feet at ignition. Has some bad habits with his technique and anticipation, not always positioning his body with the correct angle. Slow eyes and can be sluggish adjusting to multiple pressures. Game appears too fast for him sometimes.
    --Derek Stephens, Dane Brugler
[h=3]Player Overview[/h] Started as a true freshman and 46 total games in his four seasons, alternating between left and right guard as a senior.Physical presence in the ground game, a real people mover and power player with aggressive hands and the physical demeanor to manhandle defenders. He generates power from his lower body and is at his best when he rolls his hips to bury his targets, but can be overeager at times and fall off blocks. Has experience at both guard spots and might not be a fit for every NFL offense, but he has starting potential in a power-based scheme.

    OVERVIEW:
A little-known recruit out of Canada, Bridge was recruited heavily by Buffalo before then-head coach Turner Gil left for Kansas in 2010. Bridge was planning on going to a Canadian school before an independant recruiter lined him up with Alcorn State. He transfered to South Alabama in 2012, and served as a reserve most of his career. In 2013, he participated at the Manning Academy. Bridge earned the opportunity to start as a senior and appeared in 10 games, recording 51.9-percent completions, 1,648 passing yards, 6 interceptions and 17 total touchdowns (14 passing, 3 rushing). Bridge had his best individual performance in the regular-season finale against Navy, finishing 19-for-28 (67.9-percent) for 172 passing yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

    STRENGTHS:
    • Tall, narrow body type with athletic footwork and long-striding speed to pick up yards with his legs. Elite-level arm strength and release quickness with the ability to add velocity and extra RPM's on his throws with ease. Not shy about testing tight windows and trusts his arm to make frozen rope throws and put the ball anywhere he wants on the field. He has mobility to keep the play alive when the pocket breaks down, shaking off arm tackles and stepping up with his eyes downfield. Shows the ability to work through his reads and is a quick thinker to make snap decisions. Displayed outstanding toughness playing through an ankle injury most of November 2014.

    WEAKNESSES:
    • Bridge has improved field vision, but needs to develop his eye use and tends to stare down receivers, often leading defenders to his intended target. His receivers will struggle to handle his fastball at times and Bridge needs to develop a change-up and overall better touch to all levels. His mechanics and accuracy need refined, but neither needs an overhaul.
With only a dozen collegiate games under his belt, Bridge doesn't have the ideal experience and might need a season or two to develop before he's ready for consistent game reps, requiring a patient NFL team.
    SCOUTS SAY:

"He's as raw as he is talented. The ball shoots off his hand and he has some traits you cannot teach. I'm just not sure how naturally the game comes to him. How much better can he get? What is his football ceiling? I'm not sure. But he could end up being a bargain for a team that brings him along at his pace.” - AFC North scout

"He can throw it through a wall, but who knows if he can throw it right to me standing 15 yards away. Hard to get drafted when you can't complete passes. I will be interested to see if our quarterback coach thinks those mechanics are fixable." -- AFC South scout.
    Compares to Colin Kaepernick

    GM SAYS:

    BOTTOM LINE:
His arm strength is pure NFL, but his lack of functional accuracy simply cannot be overlooked. It's one thing to miss with ball placement just inside or just a little bit high, but Bridge's throws are all over the map. He puts so much heat on them that his receivers struggle to make successful adjustments. That size, arm and athleticism are definitely traits worth taking a chance on, and Bridge could become an interesting talent down the line if a team is able to get his mechanics and touch where they need to be.

    Dezmin lewis, WR, UCA!

Dez is a big physical WR who we're happy to add alongside other young WRs in Antonio Brown, Martavius Bryant, and Marcus Wheaton. He will provide another weapon for Ben to utilize, and we have little doubt that our coaches can mold him into a better route runner so that he may better utilize his speed and size. We already know he has good hands and can go up and get the ball. Despite his small school background, Dez showed during the week leading up to the SR bowl as well as the game itself that he was up to the challenge of elevated competition. We're sure he'll be a fine addition to our squad.
